This delightful, spacious 1860's slate town house is located in the idyllic village of Abergynolwyn (World Heritage site) in the southern part of Snowdonia National Park near Cader Idris. The wide sandy beaches of Aberdovey and Tywyn are only 15 minutes drive away.

'Swn Yr Afon' can accommodate up to 8 people and has 2 double rooms, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedroom and is ideal for family groups. With a contemporary and welcoming feel, the house is spacious with 2 lounges, woodburner and coal fire, a modern kitchen and dining area plus outside sitting areas both front and back. Its the perfect place to slow down, inhale the clear welsh air and be soothed by the sound of the river. Fully equipped to a high standard with hi-speed wifi, washing machine, tumble dryer, high chair and stair gates, your stay at Swn Yr Afon will work for all the needs of the family, including remote working if required. About the host
Hosted by Richard Beard
Living in Birmingham, we have owned 'Swn Yr Afon' since 2013 and have brought our children up in the village by coming every school holiday and now have many local friends and lots of amazing family stories in Abergynolwyn.
Why they chose this property
Situated in a quiet, safe place right by the enclosed playground there is always something to do for the children: wading in the stream, playing on the swings, building sandcastles and eating fish and chips and icecream in Aberdovey.
What makes this property unique
We love the peace, the clear air, the friendliness of neighbours and the perfect location for exploring. The Magic Lantern cinema has unique films and there are several good pubs and cafes a short drive away.
