In the heart of Wyoming’s stunning Bridger-Teton Mountain Range and Star Valley, you will find our beautiful Afton Ranch Retreat. We welcome family vacations, get aways, retreats, and family reunions. Minutes from unlimited access to Wyoming’s public land and thousands of acres of Bridger-Teton National Forest, our Home offers a relaxing, tranquil setting for you and your guests to recharge and reconnect. Come experience our incredible recently remodeled indoor spaces, the pristine beauty of our endless, wild backyard and old-fashioned Afton western hospitality at its finest!
Heated tile floors, granite counter tops throughout. All new best quality appliances.
All new mattresses: King size, Queen, two Twins with a Full sofa bed. Three Queen air mattresses are available. Close to Star Valley Temple with Temple views.
This 3800 sq. ft. 4 bedroom, 2 bath home will be a great starting off place close to Tetons, Yellowstone, Jackson Hole and more.
Barbecue, wading pool for the kids, badminton, and more are also available.
Even though this beautiful and roomy home is also our second home, we will do our very best to make room in closets, fridge, etc for your use.

Remove personal items and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Feel free to leave any unused and unopened food items.
Your personal code for your stay for the front door is 2580. When you leave press the top button, it will lock the door. Sometimes you have to give it a slight pull closed for the deadbolt to engage.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Quiet time 10:00 PM outside. Inside 12:00 PM. Please be thoughtful of neighbors.

Always a pleasure

This was our second time staying at this property and we loved our stay just as much as the first time. The Capps are lovely people and fabulous hosts. We always find everything clean, tidy, and ready for our stay. The backyard is one of our favorite parts and the kids enjoyed it all day every day. We will definitely be returning as long as we continue coming to Afton.

Home in Afton Wyoming

We were in Afton for a family wedding and the house was perfect for our adult kids and me. We had a pretty windy week so weren't able to enjoy the outside as much as we would have liked. Great kitchen area, laundry, patio. 3 full bathrooms which were all very nice. No coffee pot so we stopped at Ace which has a great selection.

Fabulous!

The only downside to our stay was having to go home. Everything was just wonderful! The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful and the neighbors are very friendly. Don and Sandi were terrific hosts and have made every effort to have their home be comfortable and enjoyable by people of all ages. We lacked for nothing and loved being a part of their story for a few days. Hands down, we would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Capps! :)

Great for young families

The house was very clean and the backyard was absolutely fantastic for our group. We had 8 children (not all staying here) that played their little hearts out. Ages 3 to 8. They loved the sandbox and all the backyard toys provided.

We stayed for a wedding and the location was great, right in the middle of where we needed to be. The house is roomy and comfortable. Everyone had their own room which made life good. All of the instructions from the homeowner were accurate and easy to understand.

Perfect location, beautiful home

We greatly enjoyed our stay at Don’s home over July 4. The location is perfect and the setting is beautiful; right in town but on a large lot with a very peaceful view of fields and mountains. The home is perfectly appointed and has everything you can think of needing. Communication was great and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Best Family Vacation Ever 10 people & 4 generations

The owners love this property and they take care of it too. The family feeling under this roof is obvious and you can tell the Capps family are just great people. The home is very comfortable, the beds are great, everyone slept well after a day of exploring. Deer ran through the back yard at night and the neighborhood is quiet and safe. The large family room kept the kids busy and the large dinning area worked for the whole family of 10. The living area had quiet rooms areas if you just needed a break and a large living room to sit and talk about the next days adventure. The family members from 4 years old to 85 years old had zero complaints and will leave with wonderful memories. Thank you Mr. and Mrs Capps for a wonderful opportunity.

Why they chose this property

There are few other properties in Star Valley like this one. Once you walk through the door, you'll know why. Beautifully remodeled 2015. Most guests will enjoy the comfort and privacy of the large basement: three bedroom with full bathroom, family room, exercise equipment (Under adult supervision), HDTVs, Games and Movies. There is fridge and cupboard space with a fully equipped kitchen.

What makes this property unique

About 1.5 hr drive to Bear Lake, Idaho Falls, Rexberg, Soda Springs, Yellowstone, Jackson Lake, Grand Targhee, Jackson Hole, and the Wind River area.
Close to the LDS Temple (By appointment) and churches, unique Afton shopping and restaurants. Highly rated Star Valley Hospital. Lots of room out back for relaxing or recreation.
