Stylish early Victorian garden apartment located near centre of London UK
This is a one-bedroom apartment, but because of it's large size, the apartment accommodates a third or fourth guest as there is a very comfortable sofa-bed in the living room. A perfect blend of city energy and private relaxation. Located near the center of London, you are just a short 4-minute stroll from both Peckham Rye train station and numerous bus routes. From the Grade II 19th century listed building you have rapid access to Tower Bridge, or Oxford Circus. The apartment features a bright open layout combining period charm and modern appliances. You’ll be steps away from the area’s best amenities, including the trendy bars of cosmopolitan Rye Lane, artisanal bakeries, and the scenic expanses of Peckham Rye Common. The French language, with a smattering of German and Spanish is spoken by the owner. If cooking at home does not appeal, there is a wide variety of places to eat within a few minutes walk, offering a huge variety of cuisine: English fried breakfast, fish & chips, Italian, Caribbean, Mexican, Lebanese, Vietnamese, Chinese, Thai, and more. Cheers!

About the host
Hosted by Dylyn Riley Dalton
I was born in St Lucia on 26 May 1935. I had a very 'mixed love' upbringing between a formidable grandmother and my own mother who my gran stole me from when I was 3 months old. I then got to know my natural mother at 8 years old together with her 3 other children (my lawful siblings). I immigrated to London UK at 21. There are far too many experiences in my long lifetime (excitingly good and horrifyingly bad!) so I was pushed to write my autobiography "SCATTERED MEMORIES OF A TROUBLEMAKER" by friends who know or knew me well - and which took me 5 years to complete. I am very happy that my book is selling quickly under my publishers Kantara Press www.thegreatbritishbookshop.co.uk and also by various other agents, including Amazon! I would absolutely love my guests to know about me by reading my book - which may also give clues of why I so love being a host!
Why they chose this property
My husband and I needed a roof over our heads and found that the type of home we ideally longed for was something big, something Period - which cost much less than in other areas of London (but was still a bit beyond our pockets at that time!) It was exciting for us to find that Peckham had exactly what we wished for in a home, and tremendously cosmopolitan too! Several of my friends from St Lucia were already living in Peckham, and that for me was the cherry on the cake!
What makes this property unique
The way it looks, for goodness' sake! Our property is as pretty in its architecture as early Victorian houses come! Four other houses next door to ours are Georgian, and all over 200 years old.
