Immersion in timber frame house on Southwest Funen
On the beautiful south coast of Funen, close to the small town of Haarby, this beautiful half-timbered house from 1777 exudes romantic nostalgia with its thatched roof and mullioned windows. Here in the rural surroundings, family or friends can find peace and quiet surrounded by a peaceful, private garden in the middle of the vast countryside.
The interior design of the house is simple and Nordic with retro details and natural, muted colors, while the exposed rafters on the first floor add warmth to the rooms and bring out the soul of the house. From the kitchen, you can enjoy the beautiful, calming views over the fields, down to the forest and with the sea in the background while you boil water for tea or toast your toast. Fire up the wood-burning stove or movie theater in winter and let the family's musical talent unfold on the fine white electric piano.
There's plenty of light on the grounds. In the front garden you can catch the morning rays, while in the backyard you can enjoy the sun from dawn to dusk. Let the kids let off steam on the trampoline or lounge on the elevated terrace under the trees. In summer, poppies and cornflowers grow wild, while the lawn invites children and four-legged friends to play.
