Inside, the bright open-plan living and kitchen area is well equipped for self-catering and relaxed time together. In the living area, comfortable sofas and a neat dining space make it easy to gather and share the day’s plans. Upstairs, there is a double room, and a second room with a double and a raised single that suits children well. Outside, a small front garden has seating and a superb little fire pit to warm cooler evenings after the beach, and in December the house is decorated for Christmas.

From Old School Mews you can stroll to Viking Bay, explore the cliffs and sands of Joss Bay and Botany Bay, or head to Margate for the Turner Contemporary and Dreamland. Broadstairs has a traditional centre with independent shops, bakeries and relaxed places to eat. The historic city of Canterbury, with its famous cathedral, shops and places to eat, is also within easy reach.
