About this property
3 Bed in Newcastle Emlyn (oc-c42684)
Find solace in the peace and tranquillity of rural Carmarthenshire, staying in this elevated safari lodge on a family-friendly site, accompanied by three similar properties and shared facilities. This property enjoys a rural position, surrounded by beautiful Welsh greenery, country lanes and patchwork fields. It’s 2 miles from Newcastle Emlyn, a vibrant town on the River Teifi. Discover plenty of fantastic walking opportunities from here, including the crashing waters of Cenarth Falls (3 miles) and a scenic river walk to Llechryd (6.5 miles), home to the Grade II-listed Llechryd Bridge. Take in the sights with a hike along the Teifi Valley Trail, an 83-mile route that spans some spectacular Welsh landscapes. Further afield, make your way to Cardigan (9.5 miles) and begin exploring the Cardigan Bay coastline. Pristine beaches are easily accessible from here, including the beloved spots of Mwnt (11.5 miles), Poppit (12.5 miles) and Aberporth (7.5 miles).
Boasting a safari lodge aesthetic throughout, this property pairs heavy-duty canvas walls with wooden panelling and a beamed structure, creating a unique tent-style space to call your own. Step inside to find plenty of room to spread out in the open-plan living area, featuring a lounge space, a separate dining table and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen utilises the wood-burning stove in place of an oven or hob, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in your natural surroundings and cook the traditional way. Enjoy evenings of board games and lively conversation in this space before retiring to bed. Three bedrooms can be found off the main living area – a spacious king-size, a lovely twin, and an inviting cabin-style bedroom with a double bed tucked into a cosy nook. Each bed is dressed in soft linens and snuggly blankets, ready to welcome you for a restful night’s sleep. At the back of the tent, the accommodation is completed by a proper bathroom with a shower and WC, all fully plumbed for comfort and convenience.
Feel the warmth of the sun on your face from the property’s decking. At the front of the lodge, this raised terrace features rattan outdoor seating, a BBQ and a private nordic-style hot tub, ideal for stargazing. Elsewhere on-site, a large car park, children’s playground, disc golf, cafe, bar and honesty shop provide additional entertainment and amenities for guests staying here.
