About this property

3 Bed in Dereham (oc-88569)

The peaceful village of Yaxham is located near the very heart of Norfolk with easy access to explore the whole county including neighbouring villages such as Mattishall (2 miles). Just 4 miles north takes you to the small market town of Dereham which dates back to the Neolithic Bronze Age era. For wonderful family days out head to Melsop Park Farm (10 miles), Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure (12 miles), and Pensthorpe National Park (14 miles). The coast is also within easy reach with Cromer (30 miles) full of traditional seaside fun, Amazona Zoo and the Pavilion Theatre on the pier.

This property is bursting with character with original exposed beams throughout and many original features retained beautifully. The sitting room is an ideal place to relax with loved ones after a busy day out exploring. Here you have two comfortable sofas, a Smart TV which is ideal for logging into your streaming services such as Netflix and you also have the added benefit of an electric wood burner effect stove which will provide a fitting backdrop to any cosy night in. Through the sitting room is the lounge area; this room still has many original features from the 1800s including a cast iron and copper stove which adds to the character of this property. The kitchen/dining area is at the back of the cottage and here you have a Rayburn oven and hob along with a butler sink and a separate utility room which has a microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and a washing machine. The ground floor family bathroom with shower over the bath and WC is located off the entrance hall and next to the stairs. Upstairs you have a master bedroom with a standard double bed, bedroom two has a small double bed, and bedroom three is a single room, there is also a WC on the first floor.

Outside you have a splendid courtyard area with garden furniture and a truly beautiful garden to explore with unspoiled views across the open fields where the owners have positioned some seating for you to enjoy some breathtaking sunrises and sunsets, and perhaps a spot of al fresco dining. There is private, off-road parking for up to four cars.
