An ideal property for those seeking some adventure amidst the beautiful weathered landscape of the Peak District. The cottage is surrounded by outdoor activities, from caving and climbing to parascending and walking. The nearby historical spa town of Buxton is worth a visit for anyone seeking some culture, with its opera house and Georgian Crescent. For challenging walks, the Pennine Way offers some serious hikes or for something a little gentler, guests can head to the mines of Castleton.
The cottage embraces open plan living with a lounge and kitchen-diner that are fully equipped with all the essentials. Exposed beams and oak floors give the Ccttage a feeling of warmth and character. There is a downstairs bedroom with a double bed and very accessible en-suite shower room with a toilet, hand basin and walk in shower with hand rails. Four steps take guests to an additional ground floor bedroom with a double bed and an en-suite shower room.
Stone stairs from the lounge area lead up to a second gallery sitting room which boasts a spectacular vaulted ceiling. Another few stairs take guests up to two more bedrooms both with vaulted ceilings giving them real character and space. The main bedroom has a double bed with an en-suite shower room, hand basin, toilet and walk in shower. The fourth bedroom contains two single beds and an en-suite bathroom with hand basin, toilet and bath with shower-over.
Guests are welcome to wander over to the paddocks where the owners’ horses and alpacas graze.
If you’re travelling in a larger party, why not book Top Tack at this location to accommodate 12 people in total.
