The village of Osmotherley is a pretty village, boasting three pubs, all of which are within walking distance of the cottage. The village is also the starting point for the picturesque Lyke Wake Walk, a 40 mile walk across the moors to the coastal village of Ravenscar, making it a great choice for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits. The Cleveland Way National Trail also runs through the village while Wainwright's famous coast to coast walk passes close by. For those looking for more restful activities, the area is home to a range of interesting sights and attractions including the town of Helmsley, Rievaulx Abbey, Mount Grace Priory, Lightwater Valley Theme Park, and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway
The front door of this charming characterful property opens directly into the kitchen/diner well-equipped for all the budding chefs with electric oven and hob, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and TV, a great place to enjoy good food and conversation. Head up the steps from the kitchen area into the large inner hallway with a wonderful lounge off to the right with three steps down, relax on the sofa, cosy up close to the warming wood burner and watch a programme of your choice together in front of the Smart TV. The patio doors lead out onto the paved outside space. Also off the hallway you will find a shower room with shower and WC and a bathroom with bath and WC. Venture up the oak staircase where you will find a pretty double bedroom and a large super- king-or twin size bedroom ( please advise of bed make up on booking).
Heading outside to the front of the property is a open large stone patio with charcoal BBQ/fire pit and table and chairs to enjoy the beautiful landscape and al fresco dining. Additional enclosed grassed garden area available which is dog proof. There is ample off-road parking for four cars and secure bicycle store
