About this property

3 Bed in Isle of Purbeck (IC035)

Head to Dorset’s Purbeck Hills and make yourself at home in this pretty stone cottage in Worth Matravers. Up to six of you can stay at the three-bedroom, mid-terrace property, which also welcomes one dog. Soak up the sunshine in your private, courtyard garden; go for long walks through your picturesque surroundings and choose between great places to swim, from rocky coves to sandy beaches.

Step into this enchanting property to find bright, airy rooms, with flagstone and wooden floors. Enjoy the gorgeous natural light in the lounge, where you can light the open fire on colder days as you play games together or watch TV or a DVD. Wander through to the galley-style kitchen at mealtimes and find it features an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge with ice compartment, dishwasher, and washing machine. A children’s bedroom can also be found downstairs: this has been arranged with a single bed and bunks. Head upstairs to discover a double bedroom and a twin, together with the family bathroom, which has a shower over the bath and a WC. Dine outside in the sunshine in the private courtyard and enjoy shared use of a lawned garden too. The Grade II-listed cottage comes with a permit for one car to use the village car park.

From the cottage, walk approximately 1 mile to the South West Coast Path, with its stunning views. Wander along the cliffs in either direction for more dramatic vistas of the Jurassic Coast. Clamber down on to the rocks at Winspit Quarry for a dip. Take children to swim at Swanage, 4 miles away, with its family-friendly sandy beach. Dine out in cafes and restaurants here too and take a stroll along the pier. For wilder sandy beaches try Studland Bay, 9 miles away.
