This extremely clean and comfortable lakefront 2700 sq ft cabin features 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. It is totally renovated and new to the rental market. We have thought of everything for you to have a relaxing and memorable family vacation. The highlight of this cabin is the incredible and unmatched views of the lake that will be hard to find in another home at this price. This home sleeps 12 with ALL new bedding and mattresses in every room. My wish is that you will not want to leave!

Dawson’s Creek is located in the Cove Pointe area of Big Creek on Norris Lake in a quiet and private cove. It is a safe spot to swim, fish, kayak and explore, but also close to a main channel for skiing and tubing with Whitman Hollow and Sequoyah Marina nearby. There are 2 spacious, comfortable balconies to sit and enjoy your morning coffee while watching nature, as the land across the cove is all natural and untouched. Down by the water, we have a unique piece of cleared, flat area to hang out with a fire pit or just relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the lake. We’ve had multiple contractors comment what a great spot it is.

The master bedroom is on the main level with a memory foam king size bed. You will be spoiled sleeping here waking up to look out at the smooth water. A spacious newly renovated full bathroom is across the hall from the master bedroom. Also on the main level is a family room with a TV that receives many local stations and a DVD player with many movies. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will need, including a coffee pot, Keurig, crockpot, griddle, blender, toaster, mixer, and new pots and pans to name a few. All stainless steel appliances complete the kitchen. You have full and clear views of the lake from anywhere on the main level. Off the family room is a full covered balcony with a table and chairs, hanging wood swing, and a propane gas grill.

Upstairs is a loft with a twin with a trundle, desk, and small TV with attached DVD player. It is a quiet and inviting ‘escape’ in the cabin. Off the loft is a large bedroom furnished with a queen and 2 twin beds.

The private lower level walks out to another covered porch with table and chairs. There is a queen bedroom with beautiful views of the lake. The lower level also has a pull out queen couch and 2 full size futons, providing a spacious area for many children to be together comfortably. There is a 55” TV with an Xbox with many games as well as a large table with a box of games and puzzles to keep the kids occupied. A newly renovated full bathroom is downstairs with a washer/dryer. There is an additional full sized refrigerator downstairs to accommodate multiple families’ groceries, also making it convenient when bringing food/drinks down to the water.

There is a single slip covered dock. The dock has a 7' swim platform fun for kids of all ages, also a spacious swim platform. 2-3 cars fit in the driveway with additional parking available for a trailer off the street.

We have 2 kayaks and a jon boat to rent for $35/day for all. Marinas charge $45/day per kayak, so that is quite a bargain. Our cove is very interesting and exciting to explore! Children will be fully entertained paddling around on a nature adventure!

We loved the location and the house was just the right size for 3 adults and 2 teens. we enjoyed the jumping plateform and kayaks. The bed in the King room was soooo comfy. Already have friends wanting to have the link to look at it. If wanting to rent a boat I would do it from Sequoia or Whittmans. We rented from Whitmans and loved it.

Great Memorial Day Weekend

First time at Dawsons. House was great and very clean. The beds were all super comfortable. Dock was great for our boat and back far enough that your not getting pounded by wakes. Only wish they had Wi-Fi. There is a note that states it is coming! We’ll definitely stay here again!!

Comfortable and clean

Some of the great things about this home: the location on the lake, quiet cove close to a couple marinas, the beds are comfy and bathrooms were clean, the kitchen and dining area worked well for our family. Some of the less desirable things are: the driveway is really steep, be ready! There are A LOT of stairs down to the water. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Location was great in little cove. Rented pontoon and moored it up at the beautiful dock. House was very clean and spacious. Nice log cabin feel. Cell services was none existent but when on lake had no problem. Owners very responsive to texts when they received them. WiFi was expected soon but we not did not complain about being off line for a few day!

Wonderful weekend

We loved our stay at this wonderful cabin. The rooms were large, light and airy. We were able to spread out or all be together whenever we wanted. The kitchen was well stocked and easy to work in. And the balconies, deck and porch were great. It was a long way down from the cabin to the dock, but the walkway and stairs made for a relatively easy workout. It rained much more than we would have liked, but the kids and grandkids loved jumping off the platform on the dock and floating around the area whenever possible. There were lots of movies and local tv when we needed indoor amusements. We had a very pleasant, peaceful weekend. Wifi would have been nice. Is it coming soon?

Perfect place!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Dawson Creek!! The home was very clean and everything we could have needed! The quiet cove was peaceful for coffee on the porch in the mornings and private, calm waters for swimming off the dock! We rented a pontoon from Sugar Hollow marina, they delivered the boat to the dock at the house and then came back to pick it up at the end of our rental week. My husband and I enjoyed the fact that we had very limited cell service and no WiFi, our 18 year old sons were not overly impressed that they couldn’t communicate with their girlfriends but they had service out on the water and around the lake so they survived! Ha!! Our 15 year old and 12 year old adjusted well to no electronics and enjoyed their time being “unplugged”! The stairs down to the dock are a little “intense” but we just chalked it up to getting our “steps” in! (Literally!) ;) The driveway is steep but nothing unmanageable! It probably looks more intimidating than it actually is. The home has many updates and is well maintained. We would most definitely stay here again! Thank you so very much! We fell in love with Norris Lake!!

Great Getaway at the Lake

The cabin was perfect for a getaway at the lake with our family of four plus our extended family from Canada (additional three people). We had more than enough sleeping areas and plenty of gathering space. We loved the dock and the porch was great for just hanging out. We had a big storm one night and got quite the show from the upstairs porch. We rented a tritoon from Whitman Hollow Marina and loved that we could dock the boat overnight right at the house. I would definitely recommend the cabin to anyone visiting Norris Lake.

Family Vacation 2022

This was our second year in a row renting this Lakehouse. It did not disappoint! The dock is beautiful and the water is clean. The fishing was fun! We caught several huge catfish and a turtle that we released back. House is very nice and organized with plenty of space for multiple families. Whitman Hollow and Sequoyah marina are close by and have a great food. We couldn’t keep our teenagers off the dock!

peace & quiet

This was a great house. Spacious & a nice cove that was quiet. Kitchen was beyond stocked and wasn't missing anything. Table was nice and big for everyone to sit and enjoy dinner and games. Dock was nice to hang or jump off. Owner/management group was great and in perfect communication the whole time. Some things to note for travelers. The listing states to park your trailer on top - this is a MUST! But further more NO boats on the driveway. Better to launch boat BEFORE arriving at the house. Driveway is extremely STEEP and is a blind drop. There is VERY spotty, if at all, cell service. The wifi was still not set up but there is a land line. If you hate steps this is not the place. There are 100 steps from the house to the dock. It was perfect for me as that became my home gym and helped for my workouts. Your calves will thank you. Only "bad", if that's even a thing, there were carpenter ants, which you will/can find since it was a log cabin. My suggestion would be to just make sure there is ant spray and traps or at least spray right before. The place was great and a WONDERFUL time was had by all. Thank you so much for a great time.

Great time at Dawson's creek!

We stayed for a long weekend. House is very nice. And we loved the boat dock, spent a lot of time down there! To be noted, the driveway/parking is on a very steep hill. Bath towels aren't provided which was mentioned beforehand. However, laundry detergent and dryer sheets were not provided, which was not mentioned. Over all we had a great stay, just a few little things that would have been nice to know prior to getting down there.

Amazing lakefront location!

This was a fairly last-minute reservation, but turned out great! The lake is gorgeous and the dock and jumping platform made for an enjoyable place to hang out and enjoy the afternoon. We rented a boat nearby and the ability to bring it right to the house was amazing!

Beautiful and Quiet

This is our new favorite place to stay! It is on a quiet cove with very little traffic. Access to the lake is easy. Swimming off the dock is so much fun! The house is super clean and well stocked. Bring your towels, but they also have some you can use as long as you wash and replace them. Thank you for a fun trip! Travelers be prepared, there are 100 steps down to the lake:)

Great quiet cove at Big Creek!

This cove is absolutely perfect for families! Close to main water yet protected from main water waves and boat traffic. Quiet neighbors and wonderful place to swim-love the jumping platform! Great stable dock with plenty of bumpers to protect your watercraft. The ladder from the water to dock was so helpful-it is a gradual incline instead of straight up and out! Be prepared for minimal cell service, Verizon has no signal and AT&T had service in certain spots on the property. Bring your favorite skillet, gallon pitcher for tea or kool-aid and all towels. Extra fridge was very nice and the porches were so helpful...my Mother didn’t head to the water a couple days (steps) but could still watch the wildlife and water. The upstairs bedroom is not soundproof so put your early risers up there:-)

This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in and was very comfortable and well stocked and decorated. Our kids loved the jumping platform and the cove location for swimming and kayaking and paddle boarding. We Rented a pontoon, a ski boat and jet skis on different days of our stay and appreciated being able to easily dock them for meal times. There is a rope swing a short boat ride away and not too far from a very popular cliff jumping spot. The fire pit by the lake is great. There was more than enough seating by the lake, on the decks and in the kitchen area. Our teenagers loved having their own floor on the lower level and the extra fridge came in handy. We loved all the windows with great views of the lake. Thank you for sharing your home with us, we had a great vacation!

Beautiful quiet getaway!

Perfect for our family of 7, so peaceful and quiet with a beautiful view. We used the fire pit almost every night after boating. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed for breakfasts and dinners. Everyone had a comfortable bed and privacy when they wanted it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hopefully can rebook for next year!
