Chez Cousteix Holiday Rental – in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park

Nestled at an elevation of 1,030 m, in the heart of the Auvergne Volcanoes Regional Nature Park, our guesthouse is housed in a former farmhouse, in a peaceful setting in the charming hamlet of Fontmarcel, in Vernet-Sainte-Marguerite.

Situated at the foot of the Sancy Massif, between lakes and volcanoes, our cottage is set in a pristine natural environment, deep in the countryside with no busy roads nearby. It’s the perfect place to recharge, enjoy nature, and discover the treasures of the Auvergne.

The cottage features a cosy and inviting living area with a fully equipped open kitchen. It also includes a master bedroom with a queen-size bed, as well as a second bedroom with a double bed and a single bed. Baby gear is also available.

You’ll find a bathroom with a shower and toilet, an utility room equipped with a washing machine and an ironing board, as well as a walk-in closet.

Outside, you’ll enjoy 2,900 m² of private grounds, a patio, a barbecue, and a parking area.

Thanks to its prime location, the cottage is an excellent starting point for exploring the must-see attractions of the Sancy region and Auvergne: Aydat, Chambon-sur-Lac, Murol and its famous castle, Saint-Nectaire, the Chaudefour Valley…

The resorts of Super-Besse and Mont-Dore, as well as Lake Pavin and the Puy de Dôme, are just a 20- to 30-minute drive away. Vulcania Park is also easily accessible.

The “Chez Cousteix” holiday rental is the ideal place to explore the Auvergne region, but also to slow down, unwind, and fully enjoy nature.

We live on the property with our pets, who are part of daily life here. You may see them during your stay.
