Glacier Cabin was renovated and opened in 2017. Keeping with the charm of a one room cabin we have a queen bed on the main floor along with a sitting area. The loft also has a queen bed. To access the loft you must climb a ladder so it is ideal for a family with kids or the nimble! To add to the charm of days-gone-by the bathroom features a claw-foot bathtub and picture window with views of the forest behind the cabin, ideal soaking after a long hike or ski. When you arrive you’ll find one of my homemade blueberry breakfast cakes on the dining table and a binder chaulk full of activities to do in the area, hikes with descriptions and distance, and all our favorite restaurants with full menus provided. Not to mention the plethora of discounts available through staying at Alyeska Hideaway Log Cabins. To add to that cozy charm we have added personal touches from our own Alaska adventures in the cabin with family photos of fishing, skiing, and hiking. Glacier Cabin is fully furnished for all your needs and we live next door to our cabins and are here to welcome you and help you plan your adventures.

The cabin was very cozy. I only wish we had been able to use the deck and fire pit outside, but the negative tempatures made that impossible! Next time, it was very inviting!
We like everything about this cabin, the location and Girdwood is a very nice town that we can explore and do a lot of things. We really enjoy this area :)
We had a great time staying here. The cabin was clean, quiet and super cozy. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Absolutely loved the Glacier Cabin! My only regret is not staying more than 1 night! It for my family of 4 perfectly and the kids really enjoyed the loft area. Thanks for the hospitality!
This Girdwood cabin is just perfect! We had a very enjoyable stay, as it is a lovely cabin in a delightful forested location. The hosts live across the street and were very easy to communicate with. 5 stars!
Beautiful and sweet little cabin. Perfect for me and my BFF for a quick girls trip to the Nordic Spa and then a lovely evening chatting in the cozy cabin. Clean, lovely decor, good coffee, comfy beds, and cool surroundings. The rain was lovely on the metal roof.

Thanks for that sweet little review - there is something cozy about being in a log cabin in the rain isn't there : )
Thank you!
I loved staying at this perfect cabin in the trees. The cabin is peaceful and clean. Everything I needed to feel comfortable was provided. The host's are also very kind and easy to get hold of. I look forward to returning in the future.
This is a great little property location and a great little house tucked away in the woods. It’s walking distance to downtown. The inside was roomy and very well stocked. We had a great time.

The cabin was very clean and nice. There were three ring binders with restaurants and activities to do. Easy access to Girdwood, Portage Lake, and Whittier. We would definitely stay here again.
The cabin was beautiful. It was inviting with its claw-foot tub for soaking after a long day of driving. Everything we needed was available and there was a great selection of tea. Coffee was available for my friend... who drinks café! Easy access to the cabin and to Alyeska. Thanks Lynn!
My wife and I loved our stay here. The cabin and surrounding land was beautiful. The Dorans and their dogs were very friendly. Check-In/Out was simple and easy. We plan to come back again as soon as possible.

We enjoyed our stay so much wish we could have stayed longer! It was a rainy blueberry festival but the wood stove warmed us up and the beds were so comfortable. The rain on the tin roof put us right to sleep.played some cards and just enjoyed being unplugged!!

Hosted by Lynne'
Patrick and Lynne' have lived in Girdwood for over 20 years and have been running our business since 2002 and love it. We love meeting people from around the world and showing them our beautiful town and state. we live next door to your cabin and are here to help make your stay everything you want it to be.
Why they chose this property
We have been looking at this cabin for 20 years wanting to purchase it and it finally came up for sale in 2016. We immediately bought it and went straight to work sanding logs, building bathrooms and adding that touch of home it needed. We love this cabin and are sure you will to.
What makes this property unique
When we refurbished the cabin we added a bathroom in the back of the cabin featuring a claw-foot bathtub for you to soak, and enjoy after a day of adventure. We put a large picture window in the bathroom so you can view the woods while you relax.
