Large Ranch Style Home with 7 bedrooms

Thank you Scott ! You and your family were great. I am happy that the home was large enough so that your entire family could stay and sleep in our home. We have added extra beds (11 total) to accommodate large families so everyone can be under one roof. We have gradually, week by week, put a lot of money into the house and has had a complete make over since we opened our doors a few months ago. We are glad that you and your family had a great time. Yesterday the roof had a complete tear off and replacement. Yes the roof leaked BUT in just two areas of the house....in the four season room and in the half bathroom in the master bedroom (leaked around the plumbing vent pipe) These other maintenance items are fixed now(mainly painting) but before these were fixed ….at each renter's request .... the renters did not think they were big enough concerns to have us do work while they were there. We have had families stay at our place non stop since we started renting through VRBO and families did not ever want us to fix the little things or paint while they stayed in the house. That is understandable. Again, Most families, ( and I thought this family also) said they did not care about little things ( again these little maintenance items were finished during this 4 day break from renters ) The house rent was priced accordingly with these little things that needed to be done. Now that they are done and the house is very clean and has lots of beds and has upgraded appliances, we are thinking of raising our price in the future. The pool has been a HUGE hit with our guests and is another reason, besides the size of the house, that we have been booked so much this summer. With the awesome new roof and the REMOVAL of the large over grown bushes that were at the front of the house (now you can see the beautiful brick ) these improvements have done wonders to the curb appeal. The Flemings were a nice family and I am glad the house worked out for them. We are sorry that we had some minor leaks but we hope they still enjoyed their stay in our spacious clean home.

Everything is fixed now. A $14,000 facelift including a new roof tear off and replacement. I had told this family that we were planning to paint the doors and woodwork and they decided for us not to do the work because they and I thought there would be paint fumes in the house when they stayed. King Bed had a little sag in the middle of the headboard end of bed... and was not that noticeable until I caught it right at check in. We did fix that within 15 minutes of check in. The house comes with a couple start rolls of toilet paper. I actually felt guilty I did not share that with them and I went and bought them more toilet paper and paper towels. The house had a big makeover soon after they checked out. House looks great and was priced accordingly for the not perfect condition that it was in. I took into consideration the little imperfections that house had and did not price it very high. Now that it is in great shape the price will increase soon. People have loved how clean the house is and the location, size and number of beds. The pool has been a HUGE hit with everyone and now the outside looks fantastic with a brand new roof and with big overgrown bushes removed and stumps grinded down and landscape mat down. I am sorry for the imperfections but I never heard of any complaints once they moved in after the initial hour setback. Look for future great reviews from later guests now that we have spent $14,000 on the house. It was unfortunate that we were so popular and never had time to complete these little projects because we were booked back to back to back with not a break in sight to finish our work. These last four days have been wonderful to get this work completed.
