Property is beautiful and very comfortable. We celebrated our 40 wedding anniversary with our adult children for a long weekend. We live on a lake and almost always vacation by water but Lake Michigan and its waves are my favorite. We would come stay here again.

Paradise on Lake Michigan

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful house right on the lake. Short walk to the beach. Big rooms. Kitchen had everything we needed!

After a chaotic and stressful year, this home was the perfect location for our family to rest, relax and have fun together. The views of Lake Michigan and the sunsets were amazing. We also loved hearing the waves each day and night. The house is laid out perfectly to enjoy the views and family time. We appreciated the quiet community and being away from a lot of traffic while being close to the Mackinac Island Ferry, Tunnel of Trees and scenic towns. We have stayed is lots of vacation homes and this is one of our favorites.

This is the 4th time our family has enjoyed coming to this beautiful, comfortable home on Lake MI. The beach is just out your door and you can walk for miles in either direction. The views of the Lake and sunsets are gorgeous and we even saw the Northern Lights! Wonderful memories made. Thank you for sharing your home. We hope to be back!

Great weekend getaway

I surprised my wife with a weekend away for her 40th birthday. We had three couples and the house was perfectly comfortable for all. Amazing views, great kitchen for cooking our meals, comfortable beds, very clean. We had a great relaxing weekend! Thank you!

Lovely property. We felt bad about the garbage. We started our stay late Sunday afternoon, we arrved and one of our vehicles had a flat tire. So we needed to get dinner and get the tire taken care of. So we did not read the the book about when garbage pick up was until Monday PM. Too late to put it out. What made this worse was who ever was there the week before had filled the receptical to the top. We fit ours in barely.

Fantastic experience!

First off -- what a house! When we first walked in, we just stopped and stared at the high, high ceilings. The decor was really nice and there was plenty of room for all of us (3 adults, children 12, 8 and 11 months), plus places to sit quietly away from each other. Everything in the house was extremely clean and the plush fluffy towels were just wonderful. And the beach was fantastic -- sand with few rocks and was very walkable. Sadly, the water was too cold to swim but we had fun wading and playing in the sand. The kitchen is exceptionally well-appointed with plenty of silverware, sharp cooking knives, plates, pots and pans. Checkout expectations were clearly stated in the booklet provided and easy to accomodate. We had a great week, despite periodic rainstorms and the cool weather. Watching sunsets from the master bedroom bed was really nice. Oh -- and the master bath shower that could fit a queen-size bed easily was such a treat!

The house was beautiful! It was well stocked with what we needed, well maintained and very clean. The views were gorgeous and we enjoyed the small quiet neighborhood. We would gladly return!

Bliss in Harbor Springs

A truly wonderful getaway! There’s never a bad season in Michigan, but this spot especially is magic. We came and stayed four years ago and our kids kept talking about it so we came back. Worth the drive and fun to bring my parents this time. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Autumn colors and wine

We love staying at this place on Lake Michigan. It’s beautiful with a wonderful view. Tom Dempsey is an outstanding host and makes his home on the lake feel like it is your own retreat from the day-to-day chaos. This was made even better by being in northern Michigan at peak fall colors and enjoying a nice glass of wine on a sunny deck by the beach. Can’t wait to do it again.

Fall at the Beach House

Overall, the property is well-located and maintained. There were some minor issues using some amenities but nothing that dampened the overall experience of our stay. The check-in documents and other information were well-prepared and helpful for anyone staying at the house, covering a wide range of activities. The beach access, something we wanted, was ideal for our purposes.

We found it very hard to leave this Lake Michigan home paradise. The 7 of us stayed cozy and comfortable throughout our stay September 13-18. The pristine beach is RIGHT THERE. Great Family Trip

This was our 3rd time staying at the Dempsey’s beautiful home for a short family vacation. The house and its setting right on Lake MI are beautiful; gorgeous sunsets, great beach walks, fun playing cards and listening to the waves just outside. You won’t be disappointed if you’re lucky enough to book a stay.
