About the host
Hosted by Laura Kirchner

We lived in Chicago and Vieques, PR before landing in Ann Arbor, MI. Having grown up in Harbor Springs, we always wanted a summer home in the area to enjoy the northwest coast of Michigan, the tunnel of trees, the sunsets, the beach and the water. The house is a dream, and we always feel so fortunate and peaceful every time we are there. We are excited to share it with you!
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the house the moment we set foot on the deck. The views are breathtaking and the architecture makes perfect use of the landscape. The entire water side of the house is glass and every room has glass doors that open onto the deck. The sound of the waves and the breezes from the beach lull our nights and sooth our days. Facing due west, the mornings are peaceful and the sunsets are world class melt your heart. It is an open and livable space, yet still manages to be cozy and comfortable. I am inspired and reinvigorated every time we visit, and a bit sad every time we leave ... always left longing for our next trip up.
What makes this property unique
It is a special piece of property because it sits on a low bluff very close to the water. The house is situated perfectly to be both beach front and lofted for amazing views. The beach is pristine and beautiful, often we are the only people for miles. Set on a small cove, the waves break farther out and the water closer to shore is shallow and typically calm providing a great place for swimming and playing.
