Beautiful, spacious home with excellent views. Perfect location for a weekend with friends. We could not have picked a better spot. Host was very responsive.
Great location. Comfortable living space with plenty of room for our family. Easy entry instructions and immediate response from the host to any inquiries. Would highly recommend the property.
What a wonderful place! The view of the Potomac River was beautiful!!The house itself was so nice and spacious. Everything was and clean and very homey.
Property was awesome, exactly as how it’s described. Kitchen is fully stacked such that I was able to make desserts for my daughter’s wedding. Had groceries delivered and made breakfast instead of going out. Multiple bathrooms made it easier to get everyone ready at the same time. Michael was VERY responsive and helpful with all my questions. He suggested places to go, etc. but unfortunately we did not have the time. Wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you Michael!
Great location, fantastic activities - fishing, tubing on the river, hiking & family dinners. Grandkids had an excellent time. Mike is an awesome host. Our third stay at this house, says it all!
What can I say—we love staying at this house and cannot wait to come back. This was our third stay and I believe I said this in my last review with our last stay-but we are so sad when we have to leave. The house is wonderful – it has a great design where everyone can spread out, it has everything you need, it’s very comfortable, very clean, and it’s thoughtfully decorated. The views out of all three floors of the front of the house are incredible. If you like hiking or beautiful walks along the river – you can just head right across the street and down the towpath, across the railroad tracks right to the Appalachian Trail. It’s a lovely walk into Harpers Ferry. There are great places to eat nearby-we usually get pizza from the Pizza and Wing Shack in Brunswick. We also go to The Rabbit Hole and The Coach House. There is a fantastic New Mexican restaurant around the corner from the house and a brewery across the river. This house and the surrounding area are one of our favorite places to visit. Also, communication with the host (Michael) is top notch-he is very responsive and invested in providing a great trip and experience!
Loved our weekend away with friends at this home. Plenty of space to spread out, if needed. View is amazing and home was stocked well with starter essentials. Thank you for a great space; we hope to return
The property is beautiful. A great view of the river, multiple porches, and lots of space. A perfect get away with lots of fun things to do close by. Also great just to hang out. Felt like home, would recommend to anyone. Michael was very communicative and answered all my questions very quickly, and even recommended fun things to do in the area.
We were nine women ranging in age from 79 to 81. We loved the house. We could be spread out when we slept and gather in two large spaces on the second and third floors. Most important to us was the attitude and friendliness of the host. Thank you for perfectly perfect time.
The house was amazing, great views and a great layout that allowed for us to hang as a group or have some privacy. Very convenient to everything we wanted to do; Harper’s Ferry, Ziplining (or rafting based on time of year), and the Brewery that we went to on the last night felt like it was almost walking distance. Definitely recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.
The house was a perfect size for my group of 10. We stayed for my birthday weekend and the house was very stocked with cleaning supplies, sheets, pillows, towels, etc. Michael was very responsive and even sent a huge list of recommendations in the area. If I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be staying here!!!
Everyone this weekend liked the local ... liked the house ... and enjoyed that we were minutes away from a wedding we were attending and going into Harper's Ferry just a short distance away.
This was a great property - loved that the rooms were all pretty much “equal” so that all 4 couples had a great room. House was very well equipped and very comfortable! Enjoyed the beds and the decor! So close to so much history!

I am a native Floridian who relocated to DC over twenty years ago. I love this place which has been described as the "Greenest big city in the U.S." . I am an avid nature lover and savor living next to the Potomac River, also known as "the wildest urban river in the world." We live just minutes from Great Falls, with world class kayaking and ferocious rapids. When we are not enjoying city life in our Nation's Capitol, we relax at our mountain retreat an hour away in Boonsboro, MD. We enjoy welcoming guests from around the world into our homes and look forward to meeting you.
