Vacation from hell

The only good thing about this vacation was that I actually got to recoup some of my money back.Things that were not disclosed was that this property is about a mile off the road it’s a dirt/gravel road with big holes in it so if you don’t have an SUV I wouldn’t recommend you going down the road at all. There was all sorts of bugs all in the home, beetles ladybugs, wasps, stink bugs, and yes, roaches. There’s not enough hot water to even fill the bathtub up halfway. I emailed and called several times to management and really didn’t get anything resolved until after we decided to check out two days early because we couldn’t deal with the roaches. Amenities that they listed included a Jacuzzi bathtub that you cannot use because you can’t even feel halfway up without the water being depleted. The pool table that you cannot use either because it’s in such a tight space you can’t pull the pool stick back without hitting the wall the door or the bunkbeds. They also have a sign up that says do not move the pool table therefore, you really cannot use it. The bedding, such as the blankets and pillows smelled like a sweaty gym bag clearly had not been washed. I hope this review helps someone else not have to have such a disastrous vacation such as we did. Good luck.

Vacation Getaway

We had an okay trip. The water from the shower and sink smelled like sulfur/rotten eggs. There were lady bugs everywhere and it didn’t look like someone came to clean with dust being everywhere.

Rootin for Bear Tootin

This property was so lovely for a weekend getaway for our anniversary. It was quite secluded which equaled quietness. No great demands from the owners about a huge cleanup. Would definitely recommend this property for intimate partners/spouses to come to.

Great small getaway

This was a great little place to stay for my boyfriend and I. It was definitely off the beaten path and quite, which we enjoyed greatly. Just know that you will need an suv or truck to get up the drive, it’s VERY steep. Any car close to the ground will have a rough time getting up the hill. Kitchen was stocked well with all the appliances we could have needed. Listing doesn’t show kerig coffee pot, which was there along with a crockpot! Make sure to grab ice as there is only one ice tray and ice maker doesn’t work. My only complaint with the stove was the the electric burners weren’t level on 2 out of the 4 burners, which made it difficult when using them. Lastly the only TV with Netflix is the one in the living room area, bedroom tv only has satellite. All together we had a great time and would definitely rent again!

Had to clean upon arrival. The hot tub was dirty and had an oily film floating on top of water. The biggest issue was the the air conditioning didn't work. On warm days the upstairs would get close to 80 degrees. Then when temperatures would drop into the 50s the heat wouldn't work. Notifies notified management twice still no fix. Would not recommend

Pleasant stay

Overall the cabin was great. Everything was clean and we had all that we needed provided for us. My kids especially enjoyed the hot tub. My biggest complaint is the wifi is absolutely terrible. The downstairs tv is a smart tv; however getting a decent wifi signal is nearly impossible. There are satellite tv boxes but they are not hooked up, nor are they functional. The upstairs tv was useless because it is not a smart tv and only had a non working satellite box. Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of things to enjoy in the mountains; however, with a teenager and a 5 year old, some sort of working tv is needed, especially on rainy days spent indoors. There is a DVD player, so I’d suggest bringing several movies with you if you stay here. One other point of concern is the downstairs smoke detector has been disabled and removed, which should be attended to asap. Overall it was a good trip in a very peaceful, convenient location.

Alright for price

We spent 5 nights here. I wouldn't call what they give you a "starter pack" make sure to have a good vehicle because driveway is super steep. Good luck trying to figure out tv..wifi Is super spotty. At a dead end road which is nice and neighbors but there's a tree barrier. We never saw or heard ours. Just little things that couldve been included but weren't. Overall ok for price.

Great stay for small family/group

My two kids (13 and 21) and myself really enjoyed staying here. It was clean, had everything we needed, and the location was great. It was far enough away from everything that you got the experience of staying in the mountains, but still a short drive to Pigeon Forge. WiFi wasn’t the greatest so being able to watch TV/movies was hit or miss. You might want to bring some board games and/ or cards. There is a hot tub, pool table, and checker board table.

Needs TLC

Very dusty with dead Asian Beatles on kitchen, living room, bedroom floors. Wasps upstairs and in living room. Inside door handle fell off when entering cabin, hot tub was dirty and smelled stench. No keurig coffee maker as advertised, lights above cupboards didn't work, christmas tree lights didn't work, toliet handle downstairs sticks and water runs continously, fireplace screen broken, front right burner on stove inoperable, stove wobbles.

You need a 4 x 4 to get up the steepest driveway ever!!

Everything was fantastic except for the driveway (and that the hot tub was only for 2 people). It definitely needs to be advertised that you need a 4x4 to get up the driveway, even in summer! We went in July and twice our van could only make it halfway up. We had to go down a curvy, steep driveway backwards in the dark twice during our stay. It took putting the van into manual drive (luckily, it had that or we wouldn't have been able to get to the cabin at all), and getting a running start about 200 feet away to get up the driveway every time!!
