Very nice stay

We enjoyed our stay very much! The condo was very comfortable and the description of the property very accurate. Hiram the manager was easy to reach with any questions and check in was a breeze. The resort was very nice and the area has several great restaurants within a short walk. We will be happy to stay there again when we get back to Tulum.

Great, Relaxing Stay in Tulum

The communication before our stay was excellent. The place was easy to find and a 10 minute walk from downtown. We were immediately welcomed and given the tour by Hiram who manages the property (and tends the bar during the day). It's simply an oasis in the middle of Tulum. The condo was large and had everything we needed. Overall, a great stay.

A great condo in Tulum with a great concept!

We loved the place! My girlfriend and I thought this place was great. The condo is beautiful and we liked the concept. Billy checked us in, he was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. Also, the maid that cleaned our room was very nice and kept the place spotless. All in all, we had a great experience, highly recommended.

Great place - give it a trt

The apartment was clean and comfortable. The wifi was fast and sufficient for our needs. The jacuzzi is a warm tub (normal in Mexico) so don’t expect it to get hot. The rooftop pool was a great treat and the common areas are beautiful too. I would happily return.

DO NOT STAY HERE

First off my stay was not a stay because I left immediately because everything was out of service. On top of that I did not feel safe because there was no service what so ever. The location is in the slums bottom of the barrel !!!! I left within 10 mins of arriving because he insisted I put my money in the safe then with having no service I was in fear of my life. So with this happening to us he refused to refund us our money he claimed he would refund me for one day which I paid for 3 then I never received a refund . Don’t waste your time and money unless you are looking to stay at an unsafe location

You were refunded 1 full day as requested. No one told you to put your money in the safe. You were complainning about everything from the moment you got out of the Taxi. Your reservation was for 2 nights not 3. Your boy friend beg you to stay and you went carzy on him. We rented you an apartment like we advertise. Im suprised that anyone would ever rent to you. I know we will not.

Hiram Excellent, Unit Good, Tulum So So.

If you read the reviews before booking you'll understand this is a budget unit not booked through the onsite hotel. The hotel rooms receive daily housekeeping, towel and linen changes and hot tub cleaning. You also have to enter and exit through a separate, guarded gate rather than at the hotel front desk. We understood all this and were not disappointed. You get what you pay for and overall the unit was as described, clean and comfortable. Hiram was responsive and a very pleasant and helpful manager. The only two areas that would cause us to consider a different unit were the internet (it was basically unusable except on the balcony where it was still weak and my AT&T phone did not work as a back up) and we discovered that if you use the hot tub/spa (which was nice to have) it needs to be cleaned frequently and isn't given the lack of daily service. Overall we were happy with the accommodations. Any complaints we had were actually with the resort, not this property. A Vodka Tonic (Smirnoff) at the bar is $14. Pool could be cleaner and the property is looking a little tired. Restaurant was not open every day or many hours, but when it was the food was delicious, and unlike the drinks, fairly priced. We enjoyed the property but would probably not return because of Tulum itself...beach full of Sargassum seaweed, trash literally everywhere, obvious attitudes by many locals towards Americans, scams, and exorbitant prices (higher than any other resort area in Mexico).

Nice place in Tulum

My wife and I had a great stay at this condo. Good location for both going into town (walking) and to the beach (by car). We enjoyed the private pool and hot tub as well as the shared facilities. Pool bar tenders were great and made great drinks. The property manager Hiram was great and stayed late to get us checked in due to some delays we had getting there and stayed in communication the entire trip if we needed anything. Some minor things could make it even better such as maybe a additional towel per person and replacement of the refrigerator, which woke us with its dying noises some nights, but it sounds like they are working on that one. All in all a great place and very enjoyable stay.

We were not told about the power and water going off every night at12midnight. We opened a window and bugs came rushing in the kitchen window all over the food we were cooking in the Kitchen. The bathroom smelled like death. The towels were very dingy and we were not told we would not have daily cleaning until we arrived. They never cleaned our room at all. Terrible stay so disappointed. We couldn't wait to go home

Had a great time in Tulum but condo needed some work

Overall my friend and I had a fantastic time at Intima resort. The food, drinks, and swim up bar were fantastic accommodations to have here as most places don’t have that in town at place you are staying. The nudity aspect was laissez faire and fun, but with no pressure. We made very good friends and had a blast at the hotel. I was not aware that you are technically not allows to bring guests, but security was reasonable. However, given the price, there are a few issues that can be improved upon to enhance the experience, ranging from cosmetic issues of the condo to improving internet and aesthetic/decoration of the condo which was minimal.I think next time we will go through the route of booking with the hotel directly as there is daily cleaning that way. However Hiram was a good property manager and despite a small hiccup was responsive and helpful and went out of his way to help us when we extended our stay. Couple things: The internet connection was very poor so it made it difficult to work during our stay and that posed issues. As well, the area next to hot tub was somewhat dilapidated which made it a little tricky getting in and out of hot tub (it was already crumbling upon our arrival.) The operation of the hot tub was not the easiest to navigate as it took a couple hours to heat up on max tenp but max temp was unbearably boiling hot so you should be careful to check temperature and lower it after initial heating. But Hiram helped us navigate it and assisted with cleaning the drain when it wasn’t working. The fridge ran out of water pretty quickly but again Hiram was responsive and came to replace it. The toilet paper was replaced once but given length of our stay I believe there should be a larger supply as we started we only two rolls and found ourselves borrowing from friends when it ran out. The food, drinks, and swim up bar were fantastic accommodations to have here as most places don’t have that in town at place you are staying. Great Trip - Recommended Property

As I tend to be very verbose, the short version is. Excellent stay, great value, and we would strongly recommend to those considering Tulum and Intima in particular. Overall this was once again an excellent vacation and rental. This was our third trip to Tulum and the second time booking through what I shall refer to as the Hiram Group (as there are 3 primary individuals representing the owners of the units and managing the rentals.) I interacted with both Hiram and Billy – always professional and responsive. We had to split our vacation time across two units in the Intima complex as we decided to extend at the 11th hour – or first unit was booked immediately after us by the time we decided to extend. Moving was a breeze and well-coordinated. We utilized WhatsApp to coordinate our arrival, departure and all communications during our stay. Very easy to install on your phone (if you are not already using it) and use. It does use data, but texting through the app does not consume a great deal of data. Once we cleared customs and immigration and were in our transport heading to Tulum, we let Hiram know our anticipated arrival. He was there to take us to our unit before we had a chance to take a second sip of our drink at the bar within Intima. Both of our units were in excellent condition and clean upon arrival. Everything was as we expected. Even though we had a penthouse, we did not really utilize the rooftop mini-pool or the hot tub on our balcony. We preferred to be more social and use the large pool and hot tub. Nestor and Jorge took great care of us – drink and food wise. We typically ended the day by closing down the bar with a nightcap (or two or three.) We did not eat as much at the restaurant this time, but what food we did have was always very good. As in all things in life, there were a few hiccups along the way. Those that could be addressed were – Hiram and team were always responsive. Those that were at the mercy of the gods, we just took in stride. We very much enjoy our time at Intima. When travelling to Tulum, Intima is our go to location. Granted, it is not on the beach, but the pricing reflects this. The beach and beach road establishments are always an easy taxi ride away. We very much like being within walking distance of downtown Tulum – the food is always great and the pricing always shocks me with its reasonableness (I always end up over budgeting for food.) We never felt concerned for our safety.

Great value, safe and comfortable

We stayed at the resort for our Honeymoon and loved it! We had the penthouse with our own rooftop plunge pool and a hot tub on our balcony. We have never stayed at a clothing optional place before and this was a perfect spot to try it out. There were not many other guests which made it easier for us to bare it all. Nestor - the bartender - was great too! He helped provide a private taxi take us to Coba ruins and 4 cenotes which worked out better than a tour bus. It is a 30 minute bike ride to the beach, but a perfect spot if you want isolation and relaxation time. The resort also had great security at night to make us feel secure. Highly recommend!
