No one emailed me the code for the lock. I sent a message 2 times with no response. Vrbo support also tried to get a hold of them with no response. That being said, I missed 2 non-refundable tours that day, trying to figure out this mess.
Perfectly located in Latin quarter 2 blocks from Notre Dame, lots of restaurants, bus, and metro and on ground floor so we didn’t have to climb stairs after walking through Paris. The little quart-yard keeps it quiet. We loved it!
Our family of 4 enjoyed the central location and walking access to many sightseeing locations. Plenty of space for all to lay their heads and cook hot meals when needed. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a sleeping spot in a safe, secure building.
The loft was perfect for my two young adult kids and me. The beds were comfortable and we had everything we needed in this relatively quiet courtyard that's so close to the activity of the busy neighborhood. The hosts gave clear instructions and were very helpful.
Excellent location and great place right in the middle of everything. Had a little plumbing problem but owner got right on it and fixed super fast. Very responsive. We will be back!
Great location otherwise it would just be 1 star. No ventilation. 1 meter from garbage so you get to hear them pick up every morning at 4:30 AM and return at 6AM. Pubic hairs left on the bathroom sink. Loft ceiling height is only 1 meter making it unusable unless you want to crawl in and out of bed all the time. Host does not provide wifi password forcing you to sit on the floor to retrieve it from the router. Most uncomfortable furniture.

Centrally located
This apartment is centrally located, within walking distance of many major tourist attractions. You step outside the building and instantly you are a tourist. The area is safe and full of life. Yet because the apartment is on the backside of a courtyard, it is very quiet. The hosts are very helpful and just a text or Whatsapp away whenever you need them. We've bookmarked this location for our next trip to Paris.

Excellent Location. Mediocre Accommodation
The good:
The apartment makes most of the city walkable
Check in/out is easy
Size is reasonable
The bad:
You will awake each morning at 5.30 to the garbage bins being emptied
Lack of supplies (no dish soap, toilet paper, sharp knives, asked to purchase drain declogger by host when the shower was clogged upon arrival - not reumbursed for any costs)

The Latin Quarter at our feet!
We loved the location ! It was close to Notre Dame and the Marais and so many other sights . We never met Olivier or Isabelle but they responded promptly to all of our questions . The loft was fun but we are not young and were unaware of the low ceilings in the loft . We crawled into bed ! It was a fun place to call home for 2 weeks and we would rent it again ! The location was the absolute highlight . The Latin Quarter was literally out the door from the flat ! Every type of ethnic food at our doorstep . We loved it !

Sorry for the low ceiling! We know that it may not be the most comfortable for some people... but we have been VERY EXPLICIT TO MENTION the low ceiling (1,30 meter or 4ft & 4in) of the mezzanine. Most of our visitors love it.
We are happy that you enjoyed the place!
We are glad choosing this place as first timer in Paris, its in the heart of city, very convenient to metro, bus, taxi, its also within 20 minutes walking to quite a few museums. The host is very thoughtful by providing umbrellas, which we used the first day! We slept very well even though there's a lot of night life action outside, its pretty quiet inside. My kids slept well in the two separate sofa beds too. I learnt to be careful on the loft by not standing up, and had quick hot shower due to smaller size of water heater, and these are all not big deal given the convience of the location. You are talking about seeing the Nortre Dan just a few steps out! Host is pretty responsive on all my questions and they are flexible to accommodate our early check in time. Highly recommend this great place.
My daughters (13 and 16) and I loved our stay here. Nothing fancy, but who goes to Paris to have a fancy place to sleep?! The location was perfect. Walking distance to just about everything, and if the walk was further than you wanted there are 3 metro stops right there.
Our first day we walked 1 min to the main road, and my daughters said, “Wow! I didn’t realize we were that close to Notre Dame!”
While not fancy, the place has everything you need for time in Paris. We placed our fruits and veggies in the fridge. The shower was great! There was sleeping for the 3 of us. Probably could have another child sleep downstairs if there are 4.
We enjoyed everything, and we would stay here again.

At home in Paris
We recently spent a little over 2 weeks here and had a wonderful time. The apartment is very roomy, modern, and comfortable and we can't say enough about the owners, Isabelle and Olivier. They greeted us when we checked in and were most helpful. This apartment is an oasis in the middle of the very active Latin Quarter. Restaurants are just steps away & Monoprix is a great grocery store also nearby if you choose to cook some of your meals in the well-equipped apartment. No car is needed as everything is accessible. We even walked to the Eiffel Tower from here! While there is no internet it's very easy to connect with wifi providers available in the area. We highly recommend this apartment and would stay here again. Mercí to Isabelle & Olivier for helping to make our stay in Paris so special.

Disliked: Check-in
Medium standard
The location of the apartment was very good. The apartment itself was reasonably clean but the couch was broken (both sides were bent inward and we could not sit on it), there was NO sign indicating which apartment was the rental (no number or other indication). We didn't realize that the ceiling of the bedroom area was low until we arrived. This made it difficult for my husband to move around. And, I don't think the comforter on the bed was very clean. When we return to Paris, we would consider renting this apartment again but only if the above issues are fixed and there additional towels made available.

Thank you for the message. First of all, accept our apologies for the sofa in bad condition: it was damaged by our previous unscrupulous visitors who did not report that they had broken it. We changed it at our own expense.
You regret that find that the access is difficult. We do our best to be as precise as we can: we sent you photos of the front door of your loft that yields in a courtyard where there are only 2 doors! We sent you a reminder a few days before your arrival to give you the codes and remind you to take the detailed instructions. How can we be more precise?
You complained about the ceiling height of the mezzanine. We try to be as specific as possible about the description of the places. This description includes: “The large mezzanine of 11 m2 is isolated from the living room. It has a double bed (140 x 200). It is accessible by a steep staircase and has a ceiling height of 1.30 meters”. How can we be more specific?
Cleaning is done thoroughly before your arrival. We offer visitors who wish an additional intervention of the maid. What more can we do?
We remind you that we have helped you at 1 am when you lost your keys, without being able to reach you by phone, since your mobile is incompatible with non-US networks. We will take advantage of this incident to recommend to our visitors to make sure to communicate by buying a SIM card for a few euros.
Be sure that we take advantage of your surprisingly very negative remarks to further improve the information of our visitors.
Kind regards

Very good stay, only noise complaints
My daughter and I stayed here in the springtime for 8 days. The location is great, very close to Notre Dame, but you should take care to know how to find this place. It is in a tiny alley and the street name is a bit hidden. Arriving at the city we got a bit lost, but the hostess was very friendly and tracked us down nearby. We were given a nice tour of the apartment, and found it to be very clean and well-stocked.
More on the location... we loved the fact that it is so close to so many restaurants. We ended most days here so we could just stumble home after a big meal. We needed a pharmacy and it is one block away. We needed a grocery and it is just steps beyond the restaurants. Two major Metro stops are steps away. This is really an ideal location.
HOWEVER, the apartment is located off of a little courtyard. The courtyard is made of cobble stones. The steps leading to the upper apartments are cement, and lead right off of the courtyard. Everything echoes. Loudly. People arrive at all hours of the night and bang their suitcases across the cobblestone and then up and down the stairs. It is a bit jarring. You cannot hear a peep from any of the restaurants, but you can hear all of the banging from your noisy neighbors.
I don't understand why the owner doesn't include pictures of the bathroom. It is just fine, we had great water pressure, everything is clean, and it is conveniently located just opposite the kitchen.
One thing to consider, though, is that the apartment has a composting toilet. And the toilet kicks in randomly all night long. It lets out a sound like a loud game show buzzer. At first it woke me throughout the night, but I got used to it after a couple of days.
I truly like the apartment and would recommend it, but just know that it tends to be loud.

Communications with Olivier and Isabelle were fantastic - before, during & the end of our stay. They aim to please & will do what they can to help you, if you need. Don't hesitate to email or text them if you need something. We inadvertantly received outdated codes for the key lockbox and the WiFi password, but all was resolved.
The loft is located in the PERFECT area of Paris. The Latin Quarter is such a great central place to reach *everything* your heart desires. There are two Metro stations within a 5-minute walk. And, yes, you will *need* to utilize the city's superb public transportation to see all that Paris has to offer.
The loft was perfect for us - a middle-aged couple on holiday. I wanted a place that was on the ground level since most buildings don't have lifts, and this place saved my aching legs at the end of busy days.
The place was clean, organized and ready for us. Olivier & Isabelle have outfitted their loft with just about anything you'll need. Psst ... there are 3 outlet converters in the back of the utensil drawer.
The loft area features a comfortable full bed with fluffy pillows, a nightstand, TV and fan. The stairs are a bit steep and the ceiling is low, but you're only up there to sleep, so it's really no big deal. Keep your suitcases downstairs, & you won't have any issues trying to get dressed.
The main living area is comfortable & cozy. For lounging downstairs, we watched Netflix via our laptop. The kitchen is outfitted with everything you may need. Olivier and Isabelle treated us to a complimentary bottle of wine waiting for us upon arrival - what a delight! We didn't cook, but used the microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. For the 2 of us, we didn't need the dishwasher.
There is a full bathroom with a huge shower and fantastic water pressure. The toilet had an issue with flushing when we were there, but we figured out how to make it work and told Olivier that fixing it could wait until after we left. No big deal for us. The towel warmer is a nice extra! Refillable body soap & shampoo and a hairdryer are provided.
On the semi-negative side, the loft struggles a bit with outside air ventilation. The fault lies with the loft's physical design. Only one of the 2 ceiling windows would open, & to get any airflow, we kept the door open a bit. Again, not a big deal for us.
The neighbors were courteous and friendly. A pretty quiet courtyard.
Can't wait to return!!!
Merci beaucoup, Olivier and Isabelle!

Best location in Paris! In a very quiet private courtyard, but just outside that is the most bustling part of Paris. Located in the center of the Latin Quarter & blocks away from everything- Notre Dame, Louvre, d’Orsay, Bastille, Seine river walk, etc! Sleeps 3 comfortably. Great little kitchen & living space. Perfect! Merci beaucoup!!
Pro's: Great Location; communication with Owner was good; Information provided to check in and touring information was good. Large area for living and dining area; places to sleep on lower level (see Con's); we would recommend others to stay as this is a nice area and secured building.
Con's: We are both tall seniors 5'-8" plus and could not stand up in the loft area, so we slept downstairs; there was a unpleasant smell in the bathroom so we left the fan on.
