We had so much fun in this beautiful cabin and land! Greta communication from the host. The pictures don’t do this great place justice. Such friendly neighbors willing to help in any way.
The location was perfect and view was gorgeous. The house was perfect for our group. Plenty of sleeping room and lots of room for fun and games. Will definitely be back!
We all enjoyed another year at the Meadowvieux. Brent was very accommodating about our early check-in requests. The property, house and amenities, work very well for our group. We are glad that we found this Michigan gem.
Brent St and Brent Jr our simply incredible hosts! Property is always in pristine condition, inside and outside of the beautiful house!
It is an incredible location, and we are truly privileged to be able to stay there each year with my sons, brother-in-law’s, cousins, and their sons!
My wife and I absolutely loved our stay here! If you're looking for an amazing northwoods experience that transports you through time, look no further than this home. Historical artifacts and paintings litter the house and sitting at the great room with the beautiful fireplace you almost feel at any time john dillinger or al capone could walk through the door and sit down and have a drink with you. It was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable stays weve had. The home was clean, and had all the amenities you could want and fun things to do. Beautiful views and just overall fantastic stay. I went to school to teach history, so for me it was really a treat, and we'll be looking forward to our next trip back!
the views are great from the top of the hill overlooking the lake--however there were not enough towels for everyone and there is no parking for trucks with trailers--had to park 1/4 mile away at the neighbors and truck all our stuff up with the sleds--a dually truck will not fit up the driveway without the trailer

Not What You Expect
This property interior is not what you expect. It's dated, furnishings are old and worn, an old home with lots of artifacts and creepy pictures. It's fishing or hunting camp without amenities. The host needs to do a better job of explaining the reality of the home.
Beautiful location! Great house! Wonderful hiking options. This house is an awesome option for anyone looking to celebrate anything or to just get away with a large family or group. The 15 foot Christmas tree was the icing on the cake for all of us! Heads up- there is no wifi/internet. This wasn't an issue for us- we were there to unplug and we had cell coverage (verizon) if we needed it. But, if anyone is hoping to work remotely from the house you will need to have a hot spot or trek into the library in town.
Tranquility is a unique, spacious and clean northwoods gem. We had 8 guys up here for the 51st annual sppring trip. Yes, we started as high schoolers. Plenty of beds for each of us with a couple to spare. Lots of comfy chairs to hang out and relax after hours of fishing.
Nice deck out back to watch the deer. 8 deer in the yard was the largest count, including a doe with a couple day old fawn. Kitchen was fully outfitted for cooking our meals at night. Even a dishwasher. Big fridge with big freezer to freeze our fish.
We had 4 boats for our group and there was plenty of room up by the cabin to park the trailers and loop around and drive out each morning. No need for any tricky, trailer maneuvers. The well-designed, no-fee Michigan boat landing is just a quarter mile down the road. Fishing was fantastic.
Land o lakes golf course is just a couple miles down the road and across from there is an ATV, UTV rental facility. Up HWY 45 a few miles north is the Watersmeet Casino. Tranquility has it all!
Brent was an incredible host once again! This family is clear in communications and their house is impeccable! What a wonderful trip for us here two years in a row. We are truly grateful to be able to spend time here and hunt on the property!
The view, the house, and the ambience is undescribable. Truly a privilege to be able to stay here for our vacation! We will be back again next year!
We had a wonderful time on our family fishing trip. The owner, Brent, was very helpful. He answered all our questions and assured us he was a phonecall away if we needed him. The view from the deck was amazing. Each morning we could see deer eating and resting in the meadow.
The pier is a very short drive away (it was about a 7 minute walk), but the fishing was excellent. The house is very unique and the beds were comfortable.
Brent and the cabin were fantastic! Brent was super easy to work with and is very responsive. The cabin was tucked away in the woods with beautiful views. You could spend an entire day wondering around the cabin looking at all the artwork and decorations. We had a great time there!
Came up for a family trip like we do every year!! This place is so special and was perfect for our group. So many amazing things in this home. Short distance from the rest of our family which was a major plus. Everyone had a place to sleep and felt very comfortable! The views are amazing. We will try and make this our annual stay!! Thanks so much to the hosts for sharing their amazing home.
We love this place! The location was ideal for what we had planned (fishing, shopping, hiking through the woods, visiting near-by water falls, eating out, exploring this part of the UP). But, the cabin was wonderful! There was plenty of room for us all. It was clean and we were very comfortable. The library in the basement was amazing, far exceeding our expectations. We felt like we need far more time there. We hope to return soon.
Some members of my family planned a reunion and needed a house large enough to fit us. We had 9 people and still had beds available. This house was perfect for us. Several of our group really enjoyed the ping pong table and the kitchen had what we needed to prepare meals. We went places during the day and enjoyed the house at night. We saw plenty of deer and 2 bears. Although we did not need the bear spray the home owner had some on hand which I thought was very proactive. We just wish we had seen the bears during the day to get some pictures. The bar was super cool and the library amazing. Unfortunately we were there too short of a time to enjoy the library as it was so much bigger than I expected. The host was extremely responsive when I had questions which was very impressive. Would definitely go back. The only downside was my daughter and my cell phone did not work, probably due to them being 3+ years old phones. Everyone else had newer phones or different provider and they had no issues. This made me stay away from work so it was actually a plus.
The view is amazing and almost always there is action going on, mostly deer and eagles, so many of each. We were lucky enough to see a mama bear and her cub wander through the clearing and up very close to the house - so cool! We enjoyed walking the trails and fishing. There are conversation pieces all over the home, so much to look at both inside and out. Even those who enjoy the television do not miss it while vacationing here. Plenty of space for everyone, plenty of beds. We really enjoyed ourselves and made a lot of memories! Thank you for sharing with us!
