Cozy Cabin at a GREAT price

Dicks Creek Rd Whittier NC - 5 Miles from Sylva and Dillsboro as well as 14 Miles from Cherokee NC

Very Cozy Cabin with a lot of charm. Wrap-around porch surrounds the cabin with rocking chairs to enjoy the beautiful view and the rushing creek below. This cozy cabin will be your home away from home. A spiral staircase takes you to the loft bedroom where the large window above the bed is your headboard and feel as though you are sleeping in the great outdoors.

The cabin sits half way up the mountain at approximately 3100 ft elevation. Perfect for enjoying the cool summer nights and the beautiful fall foliage. It is secluded, however, there are neighbors close enough for comfort and you are only 5 miles from Sylva North Carolina where you have all the latest restaurants as well as Super Walmart for your groceries and necessities. There is a GAS grill so you can grill should you choose.

There is plenty to do such as Harrahs Casino (20 minutes away) and a scenic train ride in Bryson City (20 minutes away). We are also only minutes from white water rafting, dirt-bike riding, ATV trails, tubing, shopping and lots more.

Very cute little blue cabin! Perfect weekend get away for my husband and I! The cabin was very clean and well stocked with necessities. Sitting on the front porch while listening to the creek was the perfect spot!

We have pictures of the staircase on VRBO so you can see what you are dealing with....When I came up to visit, at your request, with you both the evening before you departed we even talked about the staircase and how I would like to change it however there is not enough room (we had a delightful conversation). As far as the cabin being private - the cabin backs up to the National Forest, there are no cabins on either side and our cabin is by the creek - it is not that close to the guests cabin - there are two cabins across the street and one to the right of the us however the guest cabin is not even close to it. There is only ONE home on our road that does not show pride of ownership - we don't care for it either and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about it. The drive way is a bridge that you drive over to get to the cabin and park - standard size bridge/driveway. We are IN the mountains. So sorry the cabin and the area did not meet your standards - so very sad to hear. We want all of our guests to have a great experience.

Perfect weekend trip!

My parnter and I needed a weekend trip to relax and recharge. This place was perfect! Its just the two of us and the space was perfect. The cabin is cute, clean and you can hear the creek anytime you are outside or if you open the windows! Also very close to town so there were plenty of options for us to choose from for daytime activities Very nice, we will back! back!

Great cabin and great location.

The cabin is really nice. Loved the view from the porch and through the skylights. Really liked listening to the creek flowing throughout the night. It's a really nice and secluded drive up to the cabin.

Why they chose this property

We really like the location of the property because it is close to several activities. We only live about 45 - 60 minutes from the property so it is easy for us to leave the city and enjoy the peacefulness of the mountains and the activities offered. There are two small towns, Sylva and Dillsboro, approximately 5 miles from the cabin.
