Wonderful house for our family trip to Ketchikan. The neighborhood was very quiet, the house had everything we needed and was very clean. We plan on going back!
Very comfortable home. Great location to feel out of the crowd and be so close to so many activities. There is a marina nearby to rent boats or kayaks, plus the adventure center a short walk away with zip line, kayaking tours, etc. Easy to get to downtown when we wanted. Hosts are extremely kind and generous. It was a relaxing vacation for my family.

Excellent!
We loved our stay! It came equipped with everything we needed. The van included was such a bonus! This home is decorated beautifully! It was quiet and comfortable. Will be back next year!
My grand daughter dubbed this lovely VRBO the sleeping house because we did not spend a lot of time here with so much to see and do in Ketchikan! This property worked well for my family, is immaculately clean and cozy with fun nautical decor, comfy beds and everything you need for a relaxing get away!
First, Jennifer was right there when we arrived from the ferry, with the van ready for us. Any questions we had, we got a text response right away. Very nice.
This house was perfect for our recent 1 week stay with another couple, 4 of us total. The location is away from the hustle of Ketchikan, near Knudson Cove and South Point Higgins Beach. The first thing that we noticed is how neat and clean the house and property is. Modern appliances and furnishings, with lots of neat nautical maps on the walls, a nice living room area with sofas, lounge chairs, and lots of neat books to read! We loved getting up in the morning, and sitting out on the back deck with coffee. And use of the minivan was another plus. Very handy! Oh, can't forget the fire pit. We used it twice, made s'mores one day. What else? Almost every day, we discovered something else that our hosts had provided that we thought we needed to get at the store. So, when you first get here, look in all the cupboards and closets. For example, we like to have a box fan in the bedroom. We were just about to go buy one, and we found one in the hall closet. This place is literally equipped with all the comforts of home! And the size is just right. Not too big, but not too small. Perfect for 4-6 people.
One night, we watched the northern lights. Perfect!
All of us were impressed with this place and the location is perfect to go fishing at either marina. The van really simplifies things too. The only thing that was a little bad was the bathroom got a little busy with 5 guys in the morning.
First and foremost, the property owners are great! Super responsive to messages and live near by should there be any issues. Super easy check out and check in procedures. This little home is super cute. Jen has decorated it to be so warm and cozy. The home is well stocked with everything you would need. From cooking supplies and spice pantry, to towels and even mineral soak for the bath. The home is located about 25 minutes out of downtown Ketchikan so you are out of the hustle and bustle but it is a bit of a distance for groceries so you'll want to plan for that. There is a little grocery store not too far away, but expect to pay for convenience (yikes). If you are looking to go fishing, hiking, be outside, explore beaches and parks, learn native peoples culture, in a quiet escape Knudson Cove and this little place is a little slice of perfect. We loved visiting Ketchikan and we are looking forward to staying in Knudson Cove again.

One of the best!
I have been renting through HomeAway for several years and this is one of the best properties I have stayed at! This place was so great, I almost didn’t want to “let the secret out.”
The house has been recently remodeled and the owners did an amazing job. It is comfortable, surprisingly spacious for its size, charmingly decorated and had everything we needed for eating, lounging and sleeping.
The location is north of Ketchikan in a quiet, wooded neighborhood. Easy access to activities in Knudsen Cove, Salmon Falls Lodge and Clover Pass Resort and an easy drive into Ketchikan.
Other benefits: the owners maintain an online guide book with everything you need to know about the house and helpful information about things to do in Ketchikan; the house comes with a vehicle that is waiting for you at the airport when you arrive; the owners are very helpful from the time you rent the property through the duration of your stay; and you get a lot of value for the rental fee.
It was the perfect home for what was a fantastic week. If you are looking for a house where you can relax and be comfortable, this is it.

Newly remodeled, clean, and everything you need!
This was the perfect place for me and a few buddies to stay while fishing for salmon and halibut out of Clover Pass and Knudsen Cove. Both were only minutes away from this great little house.
Jennifer and Rusty were great hosts and very attentive to every detail.
Their communication was great . . . either via text, phone call, or stopping by next door to borrow a crab-boiling pot.
The van runs great and was conveniently parked for us and waiting at the airport when we arrived.
Big screen TV's (with Netflix and other streaming services) in every room to fall asleep to after a hard day's fishing. WiFi worked great as well for checking emails and staying in touch during the week.
I can't say enough about this place. All 4 of us were pleasantly surprised.
Highly recommended!

Love this home, best place to stay!
Our family loved this home. It is newly refinished with the Alaskan theme. We loved all the books, maps and other local information Jen and Rusty have stocked in the home. The beds are so comfortable. The kitchen is fully stocked. We cooked and ate dinner every night there. The front and back porches are great to sit and relax after our days of fishing. The fire pit was fun for the kids to sit by and make smores. Having the van was a huge plus, and it was so convenient to get to the boat dock each morning. Jen and Rusty were quick to respond when we had questions. Great job Jen and Rusty, we hope your place is available when we decide on our 2019 dates. Thanks so much!!

Beautiful property
Our stay was wonderful and the homeowners are extremely helpful. Everything that we needed was there for us already, it made our stay less stressful. The inside is decorated uniquely with the Alaskan theme in mind. We were extremely pleased with everything about our stay and would definitely come back again and stay. It is close to the Marina and the van being included was a huge bonus to explore the island. We had a wonderful time in Alaska! :)

About the host
Hosted by Knudson Cove Rentals- Jennifer Etten
Welcome to Knudson Cove Rentals. We are the Etten Family! Rusty was born and raised in Ketchikan and grew up commercial fishing the waters of SE Alaska on his families’ boat “The Huntress”. He bought his first skiff at age 12 and hasn’t missed a season fishing in Ketchikan yet. I first came to Ketchikan in 2001 and instantly fell in love with the beauty and lifestyle SE Alaska has to offer and have made it my home since. We are raising our 3 daughters to love and appreciate beauty of the forest, bounty of the sea. We are so blessed to get to raise our family in Ketchikan and experience the freedom, beauty, and laid back island lifestyle. On a typical day you will find us hitting a local trail, beach combing, out fishing in our boat, or playing in the dirt growing as many veggies as this rain forest will allow. We would be honored to have you as our guest and look forward to helping you make the best of your Alaskan adventure. Cheers, Jen
