Welcome to Fox Pointe

This upscale, three-story cabin is located in a gated mountain community with layered mountain views. Guests can even see Sugar Mountain Ski Resort from the home. Both the upper and lower decks have mountain views and dining and leisure spaces.

The main level features an open concept design and a kitchen and dining area equipped to serve the whole family. There is a wall of windows in the great room that provides sweeping mountain views indoors.

Sugar Mountain is only 6 miles away, and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is less than 3 miles away up Beech Mountain. Banner Elk is also under 3 miles away and offers restaurants, shopping, and more. Other nearby High Country attractions include Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Ziplines, Grandfather Mountain, Boone, Blowing Rock, Appalachian Ski Mountain, and Tweetsie Railroad.

It was fantastic but I couldn't get two doors to lock one of the TVs was not working and the garage door open was not work and that was a lot of steps but it was a really good stay

Nice property and located close to Banner Elk and Beech Mountain. The road noise is an annoyance, but we got used to it. The kitchen supplies, condiments, etc. are sparse to none which was a concern considering the top dollar paid.

Property was nice. Nice view of Sugar Mountain. Nice neighborhood. Need to find a way to do without the visit to the PO Box though, prior to check-in. Most other VRBO's we've stayed at have a much easier check in process.

Fox Pointe is in a perfect location as far as scenic views. Sunrise and sunsets were spectacular! The house itself was fully equipped and had everything you could possibly think of cooking wise. The bed linens and bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. My two suggestions going forward would be to clean the glass tables and glass door from fingerprints and sticky drink rings from previous guests. That was noticed right away upon entering the home the first time. It was a wonderful place to spend some quality time with family. The house is great!

Beautiful place but curtain issue

We loved this house but the master bedroom had no blinds or curtains which was an issue. They came to put temporary curtains up but they fell every night : / A few of the doors downstairs didn't lock either. Besides these two things we really liked the place.

Amazing cabin!

We had the absolute best mini-spring break trip to Banner Elk with our family. The cabin was perfect! Very clean, stocked with everything you could need, and very helpful communication if needed. We will definitely visit this cabin again!!

Beautiful view. Nice cabin. Hot tub did not work. Poor communication. No compensation. The reason we chose this cabin WAS the hot tub so big disappointment.

The views were amazing. Perfect location for taking in activities at either one of the nearby ski resorts. Lots of family fun activities are in the area. The property was clean and well maintained, no complaints here.

Disappointing amount of road noise. Comfortable master bed. Furnishings are a bit tired. Kitchen was updated. Nice being able to park in garage. Lots of deck space to enjoy the Mountain View. Pool table room has sloped ceilings too low for playing comfortably unless you are under 5’. Perhaps turning the table sideways would work better?

Cool air location in the summer

Nice summer getaway to cool off from hot weather. Immaculate, well provisioned kitchen, comfortable MBR bed, modern TV/Direct TV set-up. Visitors who wish to spend time outside on one of the multiple decks should be aware that there is significant road noise from a major up-mountain road about 300 yards below the property. Otherwise, a pleasant retreat.

Fox pointe disaster

Property management was a terrible experience called on day of arriving two hours out from arriving property former tenants would it leave and they wanted us to go to another property and for the inconvenience they would give us a $75 credit. Never received the money. Finally after two hours after settling former tenant and allowing us to check in we arrived to a uncleaned property. Would not recommend this property or allow this property management to represent my property to them for managing properties. Very unprofessional and worst service I have ever seen. Property is run down much root through out exterior not well presented

Great get away & views

Check in process was smooth. It would have been nice to have local recommendations for things to do or restaurants without having to go online. The Wifi was excellent with no interruptions. Good location and beautiful views.

Cozy mountain retreat!

My 14 year old daughter and I came here for the week to work and learn remotely. We fell in love with the cabin instantly! So warm and cozy, with stunning Mountain Views! Bonus was that it’s pet friendly; we loved being able to bring our sweet Shih Tzu with us. Can’t wait to re-book!

We loved our stay at Fox Pointe! The views were wonderful and such a quick drive to Beech Mountain, Banner Elk and Boone. The roads were plowed which made it easy for us to get to and from our ski destinations. A patio chair was broken outside, the fire pit downstairs has a strong gas smell and the master bedroom door was almost impossible to open. Overall, wonderful experience, clean home, and the hot tub worked great.

Beautiful house with beautiful views. We had a great stay. Any kitchen appliances we needed were there and the house had plenty of space. The only issue is that one of the beds was clearly not cleaned, just remade.

I have been very pleased with Carolina cabin rentals for their professionalism they were in contact with me many times before we ever made the trip up there they kept me informed all the time The cabin was very clean it was in good condition everything worked AKA the jacuzzi and all of that That was my third time using Carolina cabin rentals at two different cabins both were very nice I will definitely recommend them and be using their services again in the future

Overall the house was not very clean (water bottle found on night stand in master bedroom, bottle caps on floor downstairs, many straws found downstairs as well in addition to the master bedroom's carpet soiled as it appears to have dried vomit stain). The house was also very dusty - not conducive to someone having allergies. Broken deck furniture and broken shovel. No salt for icy conditions (a warning would have been helpful to bring own salt and shovel. The oven took a while to heat up and work. First floor smelled like a guy's locker room (I realize the humidity/moisture issues but can be easily rectified). Beautiful views and good location for outdoor activities.

Fabulous home and view

Absolutely loved the house and the view was amazing! The neighborhood is small. Driving to do anything is necessary as there is nothing in the small community right around the home.
