Wonderful stay ! Only complaint I would say is that the shower issue lol. One of the guests water stopped while she had body wash all over her for 5 minutes because someone else had gotten in the shower in another bathroom and it was cold.
The house is clean and cozy. Just right for a family trip. Conveniently located to several different skiing locations. The only thing I would add is that I didn't realize this house was a duplex and that would have helped us when we were looking to make sure we'd found the right place. We had no neighbors while we were there, so that wasnt an issue.

Great place
We loved our stay here! There was plenty of room and beautiful views.
More spacious and comfortable than we expected! Foosball table was endless fun for kids. The property is beautiful, especially in the spring. It’s pet friendly so there was inevitable pet hair. The cleaning service was very nice except for a full and moldy coffee pot when we arrived. But otherwise a lovely stay!

Halloween stay
While the unit is nice, there were a few deficiencies that impacted our stay. Upon arrival, we found a rather large tear in the middle cushion of the larger sofa, that we reported on a recorded line. The unit was well cleaned; however, the carpet was soiled and clearly in need of significant deep cleaning or replacement. As a duplex, we were surprised that we got to listen to our neighbors enjoy a movie most of the first two nights thru our bedroom wall. Our shower valve did not function properly as adjusting the temperature was very difficult, resulting in great changes in the water temp with very minor movements in the handle. The door gasket(seal) on the refrigerator was partially loose on the door when we first used it and gradually came completely off the day we checked out.The magnet in the gasket kept it attached to the frame of the refrigerator rather than on the door itself. The door would not seal as a result. I called this deficiency in to the office when it occurred. There was a dehumidifier in the lower bedroom that was clearly needed as I emptied it at least 5 times. There were not enough spare light bulbs as I managed to find the only one when our bedside table lamp blew. The views from the unit were wonderful from the deck. Other than some easily correctable problems, or stay was quite nice.
We enjoyed staying at Higher Ground in Yonahlossee. The location is perfect - great hiking, close to Boone and Blowing Rock. The house could use some kitchen updates - still has a coil top stove, dish washer bottom rack needs fixed, fridge seal needs reglued. No cleaning supplies at all (which the listing did say) but whoever stayed before us had a dog and there was dog smudge on the doors to the deck. Would have liked some Windex to clean.
Beds were comfy. Living room furniture was perfect. Perhaps some better lighting (higher wattage light bulbs for us over 60s!).
Would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time and the place was perfect for our time to watch the snow fall.
However, I wanted to let you know a few things.
1) the disposal was very loud and it appears that it might need to be serviced.
2) there is a wheel missing from the bottom rack of the dishwasher. It does not affect the ability to clean but a simple part to replace.
3) the cleaning of the unit was not what I would call professional cleaned. Very dusty and the bathroom need a proper cleaning including the hand soap left - could not get the paper off due to it getting wet.

Christmas 2020
An exceptional and well appointed get-away. Our family of 5 really enjoyed the quiet and comfortable house without ever even turning on a TV. Waking up to 4” of snow on Christmas morning we were able to sled down the back hill for a couple of hours before departing on the freshly plowed roads. Hope to be back.

Hello, Please note we had a wonderful time at the property.
The only major downside was hearing neighbors beside us as it is a 3 story townhome so anytime anyone went up or down their stairs it was noisy (during sleep was the only problem) but otherwise it was a great location and place. We brought our own pans as we heard theirs were not in good shape. It was a nice getaway in the mountains.

Wonderful stay!
We enjoyed our stay. The home was clean, well furnished and the location was great. The only drawback was the renters in the unit next to us, played music so loudly, the bass "bumped" into our unit. They would quieten down by 10:30 pm. Also the walkway lights did not work, making for a dark walk out at night. We will def rent this unit again despite the music issue.

Higher Ground - August 2020
Very nice home and location. We really enjoyed the wonderful view from the balcony and bedroom windows. The only negative was the construction noise from next door. The workers walking on our roof and measuring our balcony railings was a bit disruptive at times, but this had nothing to do with the unit itself. Would definitely visit again.
We enjoyed a very nice 6 night family
vacation at Higher Ground. The condo
worked well for everyone;grandparents,
parents, and 2 grandchildren(ages4 and 7).
We rented a golf cart for our stay, which I would reccommend. We enjoyed cocktail rides each evening at “dusky dark”. Would rent again.😊

Overall- Great Experience
Our stay here was enjoyable! We only had a few hiccups. Upon arrival we tried entering into the gated entrance but couldn't get in. After calling around (almost everywhere, 911 too). I finally emailed reservations and someone quickly called me back. The portal showed the gate code as 3 digits as opposed to the 4 digits shown in the directions. We used GPS so the directions didn't apply.Second incident was stained pillowcases on one of the beds and a broken umbrella. All were fixed expeditiously and all that showed up was very respectful.
The place was beautiful. The view is amazing. I can only say that Higher Ground is truly "higher ground". The kitchen is fully stocked. Just bring your family, clothing and a few extra items like food and you're good to go.

N.C. summer 2020
We loved the property, Higher Ground. The accommodations are very comfortable. The community is wonderful, and the deck/view is incredible. Your customer service was great. We had an issue with the BBQ grill- rusted grates and dirty. You sent over Kevin, immediately. He cleaned what he could and a day later, he brought us new grates. Nice.
The only criticism is that the pots and pans were severally damaged and need replacement. We would definitely stay again.
I have referred you to my friend Judy Gelber who is staying with her family this week (or next).
Thank you for your attentiveness.

Pretty Good
The only problem we had was the people next door turning up TV to loud late at night. Also a ceiling fan in the master would help a lot.
