We had a great time at Willow Wood cabin. There was plenty of room for 6 adults and an infant. The cabin is charming and well equipped. It was a great place to escape busy downtown Boone during App State graduation weekend. We really enjoyed the hot tub. If you want to be close to town and yet feel like you’re deep in the woods a million miles away, this is the place to go!
Excellent layout for entertaining or just relaxing. Kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Highly recommended!

Anniversary Trip
We brought the family to the mountains to celebrate our anniversary and see the leaves. It was a very comfortable place, plenty of room and we enjoyed the huge decks. The fireplace was very relaxing to sit in front of.

We are very sorry that our cabin did not meet your expectations. We have always had positive reviews and many, many returning satisfied and happy guests. Our cabin is eclectic and the owner decorates to her own style. I can see that it isn't for everyone, but overall, everyone else has been satisfied with our cabin and enjoyed their precious time away. Thank you for taking time from you busy schedule to let us know your opinion of our cabin.
Willow wood was perfect for our family vacation to the mountains. My favorite part of my trip was sitting on the back porch enjoying the mountain view and listening to and watching the birds. It was so peaceful and the perfect reset from the stresses of everyday life. We enjoyed the hot tub and even ate dinner outside one night, something you just can't do in the summer in Florida. Willow wood was completely comfortable with plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies. We loved walking the dogs in the pretty neighborhood. We hated to leave!
Loved our stay, my favorite was to sit on the porch off of the master bedroom while it rained one afternoon, so peaceful and beautiful. And then to watch the mist form and disappear in the mountains.
We did manage to lose the inside key within 5 minutes of getting there, and we are SO sorry about that. We searched that place top to bottom to find it, but I have no clue what I did with it. We let Stacy know and he was very nice about it.

Beautiful and Clean for the most part. Needs updates and attention to plumbing and hot water.
The inside of house was beautiful and clean. The deck was so covered in leaves and debris from fallen limbs and sticks we had to have another family member bring up a leaf blower to be able to use the back deck. Kitchen appliances well stocked. The view was perfect. Could hear Tweetsie Railroad from the back deck, I loved hearing it! Had a problem with the water getting hot and staying hot. Master bathroom and main bathroom upstairs, the drains of both showers smelled of pure rotten fish. We had to open windows to air out the entire first level as it was retched. The bottom floor has a covered deck and the tin underpinning was falling down, discarding shards of metal and debris, making the hammock unusable during the stay.
No working outdoor light to use the corn hole boards once nightfalls.
Only 1 TV in the entire house, would have expected more than 1 tv for a house that sleeps 8-10 guests.
The outdoor bed was in a disarray as if someone had just slept in it and left it unmade with two trash bags on the side of the bed.
I wouldn’t book again until updates were completed.
Throughly enjoyed Willowwood. It was super convenient to great hikes and downtown Boone. The hot tub was refreshing and got great views of the night skies. Internet was a little slow for multiple devices. Overall it is a excellent accommodation.
It was just perfect for a cold winter weekend. May be back when it's warm to enjoy the gas grills and decks!!!

We had a great time. They property manager Stacey was a great resource and help us tremendously. The road up to the house is private. Not easy to pass with snow and ice. They did warn us in the emails but that seems to be a blanket statement with all the rentals we’ve been in. For this home it is TRUE. My father got stuck coming in Thursday night and we had to call a tow truck which came in a hurry and got him out. With all the snow and ice the decks were completely covered and the walkways also. Very hard to walk anywhere on the property. Overall because the manager was so helpful we made out well. No falls! Thank you Stacey! Thank you home owners!
