About this property

Luxurious duplex apartment refurbished in 2018 located in an historic building across from the Palais des Papes.

The access is Place du Palais but the apartment is very quiet since totally overlooking one of the famous secret gardens of the town.

The apartment has a surface area of approximately 62 sq.m. and consists of a first floor with living room and open-plan equipped kitchen and a second level with a 20 sq.m bedroom with 2 twin beds 80 cm large ( or a double : 160 cm x 200 cm ) and a small adjacent bedroom with 2 twin beds 70 cm x 190 cm ( or a double 140 cm x 190 cm ).
This bedroom is better for teen agers or a couple for a short stay since not very large.

Between the 2 levels, bathroom consisting of italian shower and toilets.
WiFi, TV, and CD player/radio in the living room.

Air Conditioning in the living room and the 2 bedrooms.

You will find modern furniture, vintage pieces and artwork.

An underground toll park space is at 30 meters. Price : 19 Euros per day or 60 Euros for a week. If you stay more than 2 days, it is cheaper to take the week rate ticket. ( not available in summer ).
You have a free park space outside the walls with free shuttle.

Beware the apartment has a lot of stairs and is not adapted to people who walk not easily.

Spacious apartment in an incredible location

This apartment is really spacious and was perfect for our family of four. Moreover it is in an unbelievable location, opening straight onto the Palais du Papes, and really close to just about everything you need in Avignon. The small room with two single beds was quite confined for two teenagers, but with a large sitting room, it wasn’t a problem at all. The kitchen is well stocked and the bathroom adequate - the inclusion of a washing machine was a valuable one for us, and the heating excellent in winter such that clothes dried quickly. We were met by the host, who had great communication in the lead-up, and who manages a B&B in the same building. This made it all seamless at check-in. All in all an excellent stay and definitely somewhere we would return to in Avignon - thank you!

Charming and relaxing

A very warm welcome from Alain started our lovely stay in Avignon. Right in the heart of all the action but totally quiet inside because the apartment faces the inside garden. Modernised and comfortable without losing the charm of the original features. Like many buildings in the old town you will need to be able to negotiate stairs.

Ideal in every way

We found this an ideal place for our Avignon stay. You cannot get any closer to the Place du Palais with its many tourists coming and going throughout the day- however inside the apartment provides quiet, peaceful and well equipped and liveable accommodation. The apartment overlooks a most delightful garden. Alain is a perfect host, providing advice on sites to see, trips to undertake from Avignon and most importantly suggestions of good dining out options. Many many thanks Alain.
