Amazing kitchen, deck, and new living room furniture. Awesome location!
This is our primary residence. This is not a full time short term rental. We have owned the home since 2000. We only rent our place out when we are either going on a mini vacation where we can take our dogs. Advance notice is required. TV upstairs in the office/tv area. No cable, just local stations and Amazon Firestick. So many eateries to choose from within walking distance. More 5 star reviews on another site. We have a full time short term rental downstairs that is separate and locked off so you may or may not see guests. They utilize a pathway along the side of the house.

Southeast Portland, a neighbourhood in Portland, is home to this holiday home. Burnside Bridge and Portlandia are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Oregon Zoo and Experiment PDX. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's going on at Moda Center, or consider a night out at Roseland Theater.
Very nicely appointed home with more than anyone could need. Great front porch and back deck, kitchen well stocked like I was in my own home. Nice owners, very helpful. Linens, towels, amenities all top notch. Quiet neighborhood, walkable but not on a major thoroughfare. Highly recommended.
My husband and I greatly enjoyed our stay in the beautiful house in Belmont. In town for a conference, we opted to stay in a neighbourhood instead of a hotel downtown, and it was a great choice for us. Bettina and Art’s place is very comfortable, and had everything we needed to be able to relax and truly feel at home.
Hoping that we can stay there again some time!
Art was very good at communicating with me and very understanding of our dogs reaction to the amount of human and pet traffic. We live in the quietest place in California and we did not know our dog would be over stimulated by the people and dogs in the neighborhood so he barked a lot. Everyone was very kind and patient while he adjusted. We had a lovely time otherwise, the house is beautiful and has a calmness about it. The one thing I would say that would be helpful; we did not expect to not have a full fridge to use, it worked out but had I known I would not have shopped so much prior to coming into the house. Again, this was my issue because I have not been in a house so 'downtown' and have had empty fridges the whole time. Overall a great place to experience Portland from.
Lovely comfortable home. We had a great trip. Visiting our daughter we made many meals in the updated kitchen. We enjoyed the backyard balcony and coffee on the front porch. The house is located near beautiful Laurelhurst Park for daily strolls and centrally located near restaurants and grocery stores.

Convenient for our requirements. Loved the deck. Never had a meal there though the kitchen is well
Good for 2 people. Stairs are steep. Bath is modern but could use a safety bar in shower. Kitchen is great. Deck is wonderful. Neighborhood is quite quant Walking distance to restaurants and shopping.
The house was beautiful and super user friendly and well equipped. The neighborhood can’t be beat for restaurants, shops and dog walks. Art and Bettina were great hosts that gave us lots of advice and we felt right at home. Wonderful outdoor space as well!
Upstairs is a bedroom with comfortable queen bed and a window air conditioning unit; also a den with TV and a very modern remodeled bathroom and washer and dryer in the hall closet. Downstairs is the living room, complete kitchen and dining room. The large back deck is elevated over the lower (separate) unit (which has use of the yard), with a table and chairs for 6 and two barbecues. Parking on the street was never a problem. Art was very responsive and provided lots of detailed information as needed.
Beautiful and cozy craftsman home with a nice backyard for a dog to run around and do his business. :-) The neighborhood is lovely with very friendly neighbors! Walking distance to great restaurants, a delightful Korean market, and bars with friendly and helpful staff. We brought our dog and were delighted to find a dog park a few blocks away. He definitely had a blast here! We happened to be here over Halloween and the neighborhood kids and parents were so nice! Great costumes too! The streets are quiet and we were never awakened by city noise. Art was very helpful giving us recommendations and really going above and beyond making sure we were comfortable and even providing decorative pumpkins and candy for us to hand out for Halloween. So nice! Thanks, Art and Bettina! We will be happy to come back when we next find ourselves in Portland.
Art and Bettina are charming and gracious hosts! When you stay at their home, you feel like a true Portlander. The American foursquare house is in an eclectic neighborhood with a nearby park, and many nearby restaurants. There is a great deck for al fresco dining, and the kitchen is very well equipped for those that like to cook like we do. We enjoyed our stay!
