Absolutely spectacular! We couldn't have imagined a better place to stay - peaceful, quiet, cozy, and we had everything we needed. Sterling was so helpful and responded quickly to our questions. We listened to loons, watched bald eagles, paddle boarded and swam with our dog - we didn't ever want to leave! But there were so many hiking trails and places to explore within a short drive and we also made it out to Acadia a few times too. Lovely!
Accessing the property was a breeze and the cabin was very nice and clean. Sterling and Tara were very accommodating and had virtually everything we needed available when we arrived. They were easy to contact when we had questions. The location was great, close to Bucksport, Ellsworth, and Blue Hill for groceries, eating out, and hiking, even Acadia or Belfast for a longer day out. The property is in a quiet part of Toddy Pond and we enjoyed the quiet mornings with the loons and eagles. Entry to the water is fairly shallow and sandy which made it easy to get in and out. Our dog got to enjoy her first swim and liked splashing around in the lily pads. We recommend visiting and hope to stay here again.
We know this area well, the location is excellent in every sense. The house was very comfortable, and the paddle boards, the canoe, and the kayak were in perfect condition. You will be surrounded by nature and wildlife. We enjoyed a daily canoe outing to check in on the eagle nest across the pond. While we did not meet the owners, they were welcoming and quickly responded to all of our questions. We highly recommend this home and would be thrilled to return!

Singularly beautiful
This visit was the most peaceful and serene stay in Maine that I have had in decades. Slipping out in a kayak or canoe in the morning became a routine; we saw loons and a bald eagle while on the pond, and the changing light on the water was an artist's delight. The cabin is carefully constructed, elegant, and offers a continual view of the pond through a stretch of windows. It was a total pleasure to be here.
