A secluded country living cozy home, that sleeps up to 8. Sit out on the decking, enjoy your coffee while you watch the waterfall and listen to the sounds of the water rushing by. Creek runs across property (depending on rainfall) and right under the 3 bedroom 2 bath fully furnished house. Located in a gated resort community but feels like you are secluded in the woods as property backs up to the Lake Catherine State Park. PLEASE book listing for total of all guests so that the appropriate amount of supplies will be avail for your entire party. Waterfall activity and creek levels may vary due to recent weather activities. PLEASE do not book this property if you have MORE than 8 in your party. We thought of everything you will need to make your stay carefree. Pots, Pan, Linen etc. everything you should need for an enjoyable stay. Fire pit for s'mores and hotdogs or the traditional propane grill. Bring your favorite foods to prepare on site or visit many of the nearby local restaurants. Ideal rental for entire Oaklawn Racing season!

Local and nearby activities. Just a stones throw away from Lake Catherine, which starts just below Carpenter Dam, the dam that makes Lake Hamilton in Hot Springs, AR. Lake Catherine is 11 miles long and Plum Hollow is located in the quaint community of Diamondhead which is located in the center of the 11 mile stretch. Fish for Striper, Walleye, Crappie or Catfish or just take a serene boat ride. Diamondhead has a 18 hole, PGA rated golf course, Disk Golf & Pickleball. Plus a marina to dock your boat at. Only 15 miles from downtown Hot Springs Bath House Row, Antique Shops, Oak Lawn Race Track, Magic springs, Fine Dinning & much more. Or you want to golf, fish, hike, swim, ride horses, boat ride or just relax it is all with in a 2 mile radius for your pleasure. Great place for a active vacation or just a peaceful retreat...

Beautiful Property

We had a wonderful week stay at this property and the kids enjoyed the stream and playground in the neighborhood. The driveway is very steep but was useable for one vehicle at a time. We would stay here again.

Awesome place

Had a great time the kids loved the creek and waterfall right under the house. Out by the creek we got to in joy the morning with our coffee. Overall it’s a great place for kids and adults. We will be back.

We very much enjoyed our stay. It was a great location for us to be able to play golf at several courses. The house was beautiful with the creek running under it. We enjoyed sitting on the deck having wine in the evening.

GREAT STAY!

The house was perfect and we really enjoyed our stay. The creek was dry but the house was very clean and comfortable and the owners have it stocked with plenty of linens and dishes, games and movies. It is on a beautiful wooded lot, which did have an issue with ticks and chiggers, so I would not recommend bringing pets.

Beautiful spot

House was as advertised and close to Hot Springs. The driveway was very steep, so we parked in the street. The deck and grill were both degraded and in need of repair. The creek was amazing and peaceful and we had a great time at the bonfire.

Perfect little get away

This was the perfect house for me and my family to stay at. My kids loved the fire pit and creek out back. The inside of the home had an open layout, the kitchen was perfect with a ton of counter space, and the cooking utensils they provided were great. They provided all of the necessities, and we didn't lack anything during our trip. The owner was quick to answer my questions through text. I would for sure stay here again, it was one of the best rentals we have had so far.

Excellent property

We stayed at the house for the 2024 eclipse and were very happy with the cleanliness, comfort, and natural surroundings. The property has a creek running through it with a natural waterfall that was very relaxing. Extensive decks allow you to enjoy the scenery and wildlife. We were greeted by an armadillo near the front porch the 2nd night of our stay, a first for us! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked (both drip and Keurig coffee makers), and we were provided with plenty of DVDs to watch. We enjoyed the bird house collection/motif and would certainly stay here again.

Plum hidden

We had a good time. 2 adults & 5 kids. The house seemed clean enough. The wifi worked just fine. S’mores stuff was provided. The kids loved all the birdhouse decorations, and the creek in the backyard. We were gone most of every day, and back at the house for dinner, and sleeping. The TV remotes were confusing, and only the basic one seemed to do anything. The house is in a gated community about 10-15 minutes away from anything. Then we’d go another 4-5 minute slow drive to get to the house. We saw one deer a couple of times on the way. The driveway was very steep. We tried it the first night, but then parked on the road and walked up and down the hill the rest of the time. There’s just not really much room at the bottom to turn around. House has an older wooden deck around it that was quite slippery from humidity and rain most of the time. It had one broken, or maybe loose, support board on the way to the front door. Only one main door in and out. The sliding door in the main bedroom didn’t latch completely. The king bed made loud, strange noises with every slight movement. The early morning sun came right in through the big blade blinds. The clocks didn’t have any batteries for some reason. There was no dishwasher detergent, and that annoyed everyone, because we had to hand wash dishes a few times. I would not recommend this place to anyone with any issues walking at all. Lots of stairs, steep grade, uneven and/or slippery surfaces.

Birdhouses....

Our stay was good overall. Randy and Wendi were always quick to respond to questions/messages. They were able to offer us an early check-in as well, which was very much appreciated. And as other reviews mentioned, there was a smore's kit that was left which was enjoyed by everyone! As for the property itself. Start with the steep driveway. Not a knock against the home or the owners, but be aware, it is NO JOKE! They do offer parking on the street at the top of the drive way if you do not wish to tackle the driveway. The décor is very dated... The blue carpets were heavily soiled in many locations, most notably in high traffic areas. We noticed cobwebs in several locations leaving us wondering when the house was last thoroughly cleaned (not just vacuumed and sprayed with fabric refresher). The couches are worn-out. The beds were a step above others I've slept on at previous VRBO homes, which was nice. Last but not least are the birdhouses.... They are every where within the common areas. On ledges, above cabinets, even some homemade birdhouse lamps. I don't have anything against birdhouses or someone's personal love of them. But this was a bit much... As I mentioned at the beginning, our stay was overall good. The owners are very nice and quick to response/communicate.

Family Spring Break Trip

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The check-in process was simple. The first thing I noticed when walking in the house was the fresh smell and cleanliness of the property. My boys enjoyed exploring the creek and making campfires. The complimentary smores were a great surprise especially since we forgot to bring our own. It was about a 14 mile drive to Bathhouse Row, which also has fun shops and nice restaurants. The property manager was only a text away in case we needed anything.

Great Family Getaway

Loved this place!!! A little bit away from the hustle of Hot Springs but not too far (which is just what we were looking for). Had a great meal just up the road at the Red Oak Fillin' Station and did a little grilling at the cabin. Well furnished with all the everyday essentials. We will definitely go back to this property!
