About this property
Lovely luxury home 75yds to beach, wonderful views, pool & screened porches.
The Crescent Pearl is a spacious, finely-crafted luxury home resides in a soothing setting. The beautiful home features walls of windows that provide wonderful views of the pristine beaches and emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico less than 100 yards away.
The Pearl is a luxury beach home, featuring 10 ft ceilings, large rooms all professionally decorated, with walls largely glass affording beautiful Gulf views. Built as a permanent residence, it is perfect for leisure and entertaining. The Crescent Pearl's spaciousness offers a premium guest experience. Many amenities have been added to ensure a relaxing, pleasurable stay, including ample comfortable seating, plush bedding for a resort experience, four HDTVs and a Sonos home audio system with built-in Boston Acoustics speakers in the living/dining room, and in the primary bedroom and bath. The systems are independent and will allow background music and the TV to play concurrently, so some guests can watch a ballgame or movie/entertainment, while others listen to their favorite music.
The master suite is very large, seating area, incredible spa like bath, and private screened porch with lovely beach views. In addition to the plush king bed, there is a seating area w/ two large comfortable chairs. The master bath includes two person shower and jetted jacuzzi tub built for two.
The Crescent Pearl is great for entertaining or relaxing - one that will provide your family with a one-of-kind beach experience. Designed and constructed to the highest standards utilizing the finest materials and expert quality craftsmanship.
Equally impressive how the Crescent Pearl "walls of windows" provides views of the Gulf of Mexico from virtually anywhere in the home. Large, wrap around screened porches with ample seating allow for unfettered enjoyment any time, day or night, free from all insects, so guests can enjoy the soft breezes and fresh salt air emanating from one of Florida's most secluded and natural beaches.
The kitchen features custom cherry cabinetry from Oregon, solid wood doors with antique brass hardware, crystal and brass doorknobs salvaged from a New Orleans mansion - all details reflecting the quality, all aesthetically pleasing.
A secondary master suite resides off the kitchen on the third floor, complete with a queen bed, in suite bath, and its own private porch with a view of St Joseph's Bay. This is the perfect suite for adults, grandparents, or older children.
The bunkroom is on the second floor, down the hall from the master suite, so parents with can attend to any small children that may be present. The bunkroom has four beds - one full and three singles, and can accommodate four very comfortably, and up to five persons if two younger children share the full size bottom bunk. It also has its own private bath, and a private porch with a view of St. Joseph's bay.
The kitchen was updated with new, stainless steel appliances, freshwater filtration system, and coffee bar. Fully appointed with all new stainless flatware, porcelain dinnerware, small appliances, cooking utensils, pots and pans to make meal preparation a simple and easy.
Many of the areas fine restaurants are near the Crescent Pearl. Area favorites such as Indian Pass Raw Bar, Skully's, Weber's are all just a few minutes away. Almost equidistant from Port St Joe and Apalachicola, you will have your choice of the excellent dining and shopping, both just a short drive away. If you are craving fish and seafood, you are sure to be pleased as they are very fresh and usually deftly prepared. Casual is the tone for atmosphere and attire, with an ambience similar to the Florida Keys - slow and relaxed.
The region is known as the "Forgotten Coast" and harkens back to a half-century ago. You won't find any high rise condos here, and there are very few condos or townhomes on the Cape. Carefully managed development has helped Cape San Blas retain the environment as close to natural as possible, and it remains a sanctuary for turtles, birds, and wildlife to this day.
Please come visit, it would be our pleasure to share with you the Crescent Pearl.

About the host
Hosted by Nall Gearheard

Husband to a lovely and patient wife, with whom we've had three beautiful children - two wonderful boys and one very special daughter with Down Syndrome. Our family lives in Atlanta, but we are originally from Louisiana. We love the beach, and love this part of Florida, where we vacationed often as kids, long before high rises and rampant growth. Back then there was no "30A", no resorts, very few homes, no traffic jams or hours long waits at the grocery or restaurants. We thought those days were long gone, until we discoverd Cape San Blas and the Forgotten Coast.
The Crescent Pearl gained its name for two reasons - our ties to New Orleans, the Crescent City, and this gem of a home in an area known for its oysters, hence, the Crescent Pearl. We are very lucky indeed to have found this wonderful home.

Why they chose this property
The quality of this home and the setting are unique, truly a luxury home in an incredible setting. Standing among loblolly pines, the Crescent Palms offers views of the emerald green waters and white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico through the highest branches of the adjacent pines. Breathtaking is not sufficient; it is a truly unique and remarkable setting for a beach home.
And the house was spectacular, a gem that needed a little polishing to regain its former glory. Having spent my youth working in construction, later becoming a real estate investor, including a 150 year old home in New Orleans' Uptown district, I am familiar with buildings and their construction. The Crescent Palms is well-built, contructed with the excellent materials, finely crafted with attention to detail. This is a superb beach home. From the high ceillings, tavetiine floors, quality windows and doors, transom windows, solid hardwood doors, and vintage glass doorknobs, the materials are substantial and fine quality.
As we came to experience life at Crescent Palms, we realized how truly fortunate we were. The setting is exceptional, and the pace and ambience of the area truly special. It is Florida of long ago, uncrowded, peaceful, awash in natural beauty. Mostly it is the people - friendly, quick to smile, happy to help, relaxed and warm. There aren't many places like it. I hope you find what we have here.

What makes this property unique
The Crescent Pearl is just steps to one of the most pristine beaches in North America. The beaches of Cape San Blas are never crowded, the sand white and fluffy, and the water is generally emerald green. The climate is wonderful, and so is the food, and the people. We think you will absolutely love the Cape and the Pearl!
