The access down to the beach is an easy way down with decks to stop enjoy the view. You can clam on the beach or go out on kayaks and paddle just down the beach to the Dosewallips Wildlife Estuary or

You have access to the whole house and the beach. There are kayaks down at the beach for your use.

Guests can access the house when they arrive. I am available by phone if needed. I live an hour away, so if there is an emergency there is a neighbor who helps out.

This is a quiet neighborhood, it is right off hwy 101 with a little land and road between. It is a small town with a gas station, bar, restaurant, general store and that’s about it. There is hiking and many water sports in the area. If you bring your food you will never want to leave.

Surounding area:
Nearby Dosewallips State Park, with acres of clams and oysters and geoduck, is also a great place to beach comb at low tide. Brinnon is a hiker’s paradise and there are spectacular trails and breathtaking waterfalls in Brinnon or in the nearby Olympic National Park. Or check out the great mountain biking trails. Divers can see several species of rockfish, octopus and all sorts of crabs in one of the best diving locations in the Northwest, and diving gear can be rented close by. A little further down the road is Mount Walker. A short drive up the mountain at the scenic view area, you will be blown away by the spectacular views of the Olympic Mountain range and turn your head back east and see the City of Seattle skyline. According to our guests, our house on the edge of the Olympic National Park is an ideal location as a base for their adventures to explore the park. Olympic National Park covers 922,651 acres of three distinct habitat zones, the alpine region, the coastline and the temperate rain forest. At 1,441 square miles, the park is larger than Rhode Island(1,214 square miles). In 1976, the park was named an International Biosphere Reserve by United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization, the park was made a World Heritage Site by the World Heritage Convention.
Take a short drive to the Olympic National Park at your back door, you are less then five minutes from Mount Walker where you can drive and see views of the Seattle skyline or, if you look in the opposite direction, you will see the beautiful snow peaks of the Olympics Mountain range.
To the north is Quilcene, historic Port Townsend, Sequim and Port Angeles. Hurricane Ridge, out of Port Angeles, is a great place for hiking. Port Townsend is a great spot for antiquing and the Victorian homes are incredible to see.
Food : The Halfway House nearby is famous for excellent home cooking and homemade pies. Esquire magazine chose the nearby Geoduck Restaurant and Tavern #2 as “Best Bar in America,” and Pleasant Harbor Marina, just down the road, offers superb pizza and sandwiches.
Do not use the sauna the same time as the washing machine

Awesome experience!!
This place is clean, warm, friendly and not overcrowded. We really enjoyed our stay. Were going to try and go out for dinner but after we saw the house we decided to eat in. The hot tub, sauna, deck with warm lights and swing were all so very nice but then you get to go to the Magic Message chair. This was a great and easy place to stay and would highly recommend;).

Changed the listing - rude owner
When I originally booked this place, it stated it accommodated 11 people, i had 8. Once we got there, I realized there was no way we could sleep this many people, once I pulled up the listing again, I notice it was changed from 11 to 5!! After I was upset with what I felt being lied to, I reached out to Jessica who was very sweet. She put me in contact with the owner, Beverly. Beverly could not see what the problem was. It was clear they agreed this place did not sleep 11, not even 8, and they updated it to 5!!! Yet, stood by her opinion saying I should have read the listing better. Yes, they said a sleeper chair, this chair couldn’t fit a midget. The futon beds were if we were all couples and had to cuddle up. Since my group was not all coupled up, I figured booking a place 3 under the sleeping limit would be very comfortable. It was not. Do not rent this place unless you have 5 max, this is two bedrooms with a small “tv” room.

We have grown up in the Northwest all of our lives. We love to be outside, surfing, hiking, gardening, kayaking, crabbing, biking, cooking and just being in nature. We build or buy our houses that are more unique that we can offer others a place to really enjoy their stay and have the best experience they can.

We are a hospitable couple who have been around the world and love to travel and experience life as a local where we go. So we would love to share some of our local experiences with others.

Our life motto 1Cor1031 'Therefore whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.' Embedded within this verse is the idea that we should live to show others what God is like. We strive to show the world what God is like. He is creator, lover of the soul, keeper of all good things.

Why they chose this property

This house is exactly where you want to stay to enjoy the beauty of the Northwest, experience shellfish off the beach or just a little drive to many hikes. From every room or deck you can enjoy the relaxation of watching the water, experience the water by going out in the kayaks, or sit in the hot tub and watch the sunrise or sunset. Or just go in the sauna to relax from a long day. This is a perfect vacation spot for many reasons, but you must find time just to relax.

What makes this property unique

All year oyster collecting or many other shellfish during the season. Enjoy the Sauna or Hot tub as you look out onto the Canal with your favorite beverage or a hot latte made from the latte machine in the kitchen.
There is a large screen TV with many DVDs, play one of the large collection of games, make a fire in the wood stove or fire pit in back yard. Or just take one of the soft blankets and just sit in one of the lounge chairs on back deck.
