Come enjoy a peaceful and private getaway located in the back hills of Richford, NY - 30 minutes from downtown Ithaca and 40 from Binghamton. This quaint 2 story, 2 bed, 1 bath home is on 10 acres of it's own woods and trails and also overlooks 1180 acres of state forest. A short driveway inclines slightly to a level parking area. The cozy and relaxing front porch is stunning. However, please note the steep bank off the porch, making this cottage unsuitable for young children.

Country magic

Sue's place has a touch of magic about it. We were bummed to have only planned for a one night stay. We could have spent a week or more there to make use of the firepit, the lounge platform, the rocking chairs on the porch and the cosy country house. Highly recommend this place.

Perfect country home away from home

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Sue has the cutest country home ever! It was so relaxing sitting on the front porch swing watching and listening to all of the birds. We were in town visiting our daughter in Ithaca and the rental was a perfect location. Close enough to the city but far enough that we had a chance to have the peace and quiet of the country. The house was immaculate and the decor was so awesome. Filled with all kinds of antiques. It was like going into an antique store. Sue is so creative and thought of everything. It was over the top. Stocked with everything you could possibly imagine and then some. We even cooked a home cooked meal, which sometimes is tough in a new kitchen. The kitchen was so well stocked that I felt like I was cooking at home. We will definitely be back!

Lovely cottage

Charming cottage well provisioned with spices, coffees and teas. Fire pit stocked with amazing views of the night sky. Zero light pollution seen from property (other than house lights). Just a few miles from state parks. Wonderful deep tub with nice hot water. So many birds to watch on the porch.

Lovely Stay at the Cottage

We had an amazing time staying at the cottage for the weekend! Everything was very clean and amenities were great. Location was very beautiful and peaceful as well, very easy to relax on the porch for hours. Great spot!

Bliss

This was the perfect place! We couldn’t have asked for a better location or vibe. We wished our weekend was endless and can’t wait to visit again! A small cabin with great hangout porch surrounded by bird feeders and forest. Definitely a place to unwind and relax to the max😁
