Luxury MtnTop Gated Home with AWESOME VIEWS Private AND convenient

Luxurious, private and secure, this gated Mountain-top Cabin is situated 13 miles from Helen and 6 miles from Hiawassee in The Chattahoochee National Forest. The amazing views of Brasstown Bald and the surrounding peaks are among the very best in GA . We have GIG-SPEED Internet + Wi-Fi plus 2) 50" & 1) 65" TV. There is Youtube TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime with Paramount, Hulu, Peacock and an Apple TV for streaming.
Our guests' safety and well-being is our first priority. In light of COVID-19 we have taken additional steps to ensure a cleaner and more comfortable stay. Our home is thoroughly cleaned with disinfecting cleaning products after each rental. Also, we are providing disinfecting cleaning products available for use during your stay.
This is a VERY secluded setting, insuring you won't have to look into someone else's windows-- and they won't be looking into yours. Yet, it is less than 10 minutes to groceries, shopping, restaurants, a hospital, and so many other attractions. Perched high at the top on a beautiful ridge, the roads are paved all the way to our front door where you'll find covered parking for one car and space for two more. The Hot Tub deck with bistro lights and the lovely screened-in porch both overlook the Hiawassee River Valley and Brasstown Bald (the highest peak in GA) so you can soak up the breathtaking views and enjoy the cool breezes! A large gas grill with 5 burners and Food Prep station lie just outside the well appointed modern kitchen and make cooking a pleasure. ALL TOP QUALITY mattresses/linens/blankets/pillows/bath towels, etc... (you get the idea). This property is Picture Perfect and situated in an ultra peaceful spot in the heart of the N GA Mountains--- just right for a three day get-a-way or a three week escape. The downstairs is perfect for kids (Grown-Ups too!) and includes a media area, a bedroom area, and a half- bath (please see "amenities" for more details).
Close to SO MANY THINGS TO DO! Go boating on Lake Chatuge, hike the Appalachian Trail, see Anna Ruby Falls, or visit Unicoi Park. Brasstown Bald is 8 miles away as the crow flies. High Shoals Falls is just 4 miles down the road. Or, see 4 states from atop Bell Mountain. There are also ongoing concerts at the GA Mountain Fair in Hiawassee. You can go fishing on the lake or fish one of the many trout streams that abound nearby. White water rafting destinations are close as well. And of course, there's shopping and sight-seeing in Helen just 13 miles down the beautiful Unicoi Parkway. OR SIMPLY RELAX AND DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in a private and extremely well appointed mountain top vacation home in a stunningly beautiful setting!

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load and start the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights and lock the doors
Place covers on the grill and food prep station and secure.
Cover the hot tub and secure.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Maximum 6 guests, no exceptions. Our home has a septic system. Flush toilet paper only. Do not use kitchen disposal. Do not use wood stove.
No More Than 6 People Allowed on the Property at Any Given Time. No fires on the property. Quiet time after 11:00 PM.
All trash has to be in tied bags. Nothing loose in the bin. The gate must be left open Monday morning through the end of the day for trash pickup.

Well appointed and clean cabin with stunning views of mountains

The views from the property are spectacular and the location is great. We were able to explore so much of the North Georgia (and NC) Mountains from this base camp. The kids enjoyed the hot tub nightly (on the lower porch) while my wife and I enjoyed the cool mountain breezes and amazing views from the screened upper porch. Lots of great family memories made!

Valentine getaway

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. Very private setting with great views. Added bonus, being able to park about 15 feet from the front door with only three steps up to the porch. Wonderful when bringing in your luggage or groceries. We would definitely recommend this property to others. Pictures really do not capture how awesome the views are from the deck and the location is very convenient. Overall, great property with excellent hosts. Keep up the good work Greene family.

Great location and amazing views of Brasstown Bald. We enjoyed all the mountain retreat had to offer and toured the area to its fullest. Wonderful hosts and we hope to return to the exact location in the summer or fall.

The perfect getaway!

This is our second time to stay here and it will not be our last! The view from the front deck is absolutely stunning! Such a beautiful area with some great places to visit! But this property is so amazing that it’s hard not to just stay in, and enjoy the view while soaking in the hot tub!

What A View

A beautiful place, we enjoyed coffee each morning on the screened porch, taking in the breathtaking view. The house was sparkling clean, with a well stocked kitchen. The beds comfortable. The host were very easy to communicate with. The location was great for going hiking and checking out the nearby waterfalls and nearby breweries. Made for a perfect relaxing get-a-way.

I highly recommend this cabin!! Both the cabin and the view were both gorgeous! The property managers left such thoughtful touches all throughout the cabin to make the experience even better and were great about checking in. I could spend every morning drinking coffee on the screen on deck looking at the Mountain View.

We throughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was beautiful! The view was breathtaking!

We loved everything about this weekend! The weather we had was amazing. The day we arrived, we had snow!! The cabin was perfect! We have stayed in several VRBOs and this one is my favorite! The view, cookware, beds, information about the cabin, hot tub, toilet paper (best one that we have ever had!!) and they even had gifts for us! We had the best time!

Outstanding! Cozy cabin that provides the perfect getaway.

The view was outstanding! Brasstown Bald was beautifully centered in the panoramic view from both decks. The leaves were very late this year and were just starting to change — I'm sure the color is spectacular. The cabin was clean, cozy and quiet. The location was convenient to most of the cities and vineyards we frequented and just a stone's throw from Hiawassee. Looking forward to our return visit...thanks Melanie and Jim!

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

Our stay at this beautiful property far exceeded our expectations. Not only did we find the Georgia mnts. full of wonderful hikes, waterfalls, and vistas, but we found it hard to leave this cozy home with its spectacular view and great amenities. The owners provided excellent suggestions for hikes, drives, restaurants and more. They take excellent care of their home and pay attention to details that made our stay very comfortable. We're already planning for the next time we can come back!

This is an absolutely beautiful property that I will definitely be reserving again in the future. Very spacious and room for everyone to have their own space. Located close to Helen, Ga as well as Brasstown Bald and many other local attractions. The driveway is a little intimidating but just follow Melanie's instructions and your good to go. Melanie was amazing, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing and that we had everything we needed!

Mountain Escape

The views from this mountain top home were amazing. The communications with the Owners was timely, accurate and professional. The home was very clean throughout with a well stocked kitchen. The owner’s book offered clear and accurate directions on operation of each television. The directions to the home were detailed and complete. Privacy is an accurate description of the location and it is very quiet and relaxing. I imagine that the fall colors would be beautiful!

Incredible view of the mountains!

We truly enjoyed our stay and all the thoughtful touches provided by the owners. Jim and Melanie are the best hosts! From the makeup mirrors to the welcome basket to the dog treats and makeup remover wipes, they made you feel welcome from the get go. The house was super clean and well stocked. From the porches you can easily see Brasstown Bald, the highest mountain in Georgia. The driveway is steep but manageable. You can’t beat those views!

Spectacular Property

Do not hesitate to book this stunning home! It is exactly as described with the most beautiful Mountain views. The house is so charming and comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! The hosts are obviously very experienced. The home was stocked with everything we needed plus a few nice surprises. We loved looking at the mountains from the private deck hot tub. And having a cozy fire at night. It is very close to shops and restaurants. And the lake is just a short drive away. The location couldn’t be better. I would give this stay more than five stars if I could. We can’t wait to return.

25th Anniversary Vacation

My husband and I chose this property because of the description and photos, and it did not disappoint! The home is beautiful, and the view from the porch is incredible. We wanted a secluded, private place to enjoy our 25th anniversary. This home was perfect for that. No neighbors to be seen anywhere, and the location is perfect also. We spent the days exploring and hiking, and then enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings for our sore muscles! The house has everything you could need. We cooked most of our meals there. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. We definitely give this property 5 stars all around. It was just what we needed to celebrate 25 years!

Month Stay

This is the second year that we have stayed at this property the home is nice and comfortable. The owners are very accommodating and responsive to any questions or issues that may arise. They have made the home comfortable with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a great screened in porch to sit and enjoy your coffee or sunsets. The driveway does look intimidating but if you follow the owners instructions about going up the driveway there is no problem getting up the driveway. Going down the driveway you do need to swing out a little when making the turn out of the gate especially with larger vehicles like my pickup truck. I would recommend it highly as nice place to stay while visiting the Hiawassee area and would not hesitate to rent the home again next year. Jim and Melanie Greene are great hosts!

Why they chose this property

Location, modern luxury, amenities, security, and convenience. Being only 2 hours from Atlanta was a priority for us. We fell in love with the place the 1st time we saw it! Comfortable lay-out and plenty of room for privacy. Helen and Hiawassee are both just a short drive but there is none of the hustle and bustle of staying in town. Also, you don't look straight into your neighbor's windows! A very private setting on top of the ridge. That's the joy of a mountain get-a-way.

What makes this property unique

The views and the ambiance are unbeatable. The location is ultra-convenient. Less than 10 minutes to Hiawassee but with so much privacy. It also feels very safe having a remote controlled, electric gate. All paved roads are a plus. The mountains literally surround the home and it is at the very top of the ridge. The modern and high quality amenities make it especially enjoyable.
