We came in for a wedding. The reception was at the marriott. Downtown was a quick walk and we hlwere there every night. We took the vintage train to yhe stockyard on fort worth. I doing it again we would uber there early and rake the train back so we had more than 2 hours.
We rented the property for my daughter and her large family of 7 to visit us in Grapevine. She thought it was very clean and cute, and loved the big backyard. The kids' ages are 15, 13, 9, 7 and 5. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes. The only comment is that, though there were just enough towels, they were one spill away from not having enough. We would recommend this property for a week or weekend getaway. It is very walkable to downtown Grapevine and all the attractions there.
Easy stay thank you & just update on trash disposal.
Hi! thx for the stay…btw I took out the trash, placed it in the trash can outside the back door. Just wanted to ket you know in case you have any critters about…i did not see any lol but where I live we have raccoon's & they love to get into our trash but also i didn't want to leave it in the home. 😁✌
Rooms were smaller than they appear in the pics. If you will be cooking meals for a large family (6 or more) in the kitchen, bring extra pots and pans. Dining room table only sits 4 but there is a window seat that was helpful nearby for more people. Fold out air mattress couch wouldn't hold air. Bed in master room is very soft so if you need a firm bed don't pick that one. Head boards were very wobbly on all beds. Location was excellent. If coming around Christmas time dont even attempt to drive closer to town, just walk. Its only about 5 to 7 minutes. Overall cute place and decorated nicely for Christmas in every room.
House was old, but nice. Plenty of room to spread out. Liked that dogs were allowed, our’s enjoyed the big fenced in backyard and chasing squirrels.
House could have used more lighting in kitchen, but was OK.

My niece and her husband came over for dinner 2X. Because there were 6 of us we had to improvise and eat in living room, as dining room only seats 3. Had to bring in addition hair when the 4 of us staying had meals by ourselves.
One word of caution, the master bedroom/bath/ laundry roomsare on 3 different levels. Step down into laundry room. Step down again to master bedroom and step up to go into master bath. Can be a tripping hazard and once I stubbed my toe really badly going from laundry room back into additional living area.
A plus was good communication with owner and easy check in/check our procedure. Do wish they’d upgrade the toilet paper, really, really thin.

Cute place
This place was really nice on first sight…looked clean . It would have been nice to know about the flooring and the steps up and down in the master bedroom. A few of the armchair armrests were very soiled. The worst part was as we were departing, we were looking for some ziplock bags in the kitchen, and so we were looking through cupboards and drawers and there was so many crumbs in the drawers, so many spills of food and drink that could have easily been wiped clean, a mishmash of junk in most of the drawers. Worst was cockroach urine and poop everywhere in the kitchen drawers and cupboards.
Also, when we arrived, there was only 2 rolls of toilet paper and no dish soap. We purchased some dish soap. We contacted the owners they were very nice and helpful and brought us both items that night.
Also on arrival the kitchen had a bad smell. We looked underneath the trashcan liner and there was garbage in the bottom of the trashcan. Smelled so bad, we needed to keep it outside for the remainder of our stay.
Check-in was so easy and the host stayed in contact and recommended places to visit and eat. It does have a kitchen which we took full advantage of for breakfasts mainly and late night cravings. It does have guest wifi available. If grapevine decides to keep short term rentals i definitely will be booking with this host again for the Christmas time.
My family and our two dogs stayed and had a wonderful time! We were able to walk to dinner on Main Street and had a great time in the backyard. The fence is secure so we were able to comfortably let our dogs run around.
We had the pleasure of spending a week and a half in this wonderful vacation home. The house itself was very nice, but the lovingly designed garden was particularly magical. Numerous birds and squirrels playing almost all the time made the stay a true nature experience, which provided relaxation and joy.We would also like to emphasize the exceptionally fast response time of the landlord. A request from us was responded to immediately, and in the event of a force majeure incident - which was unpleasant for us as tenants as well as for the landlords - the commitment was particularly evident: Although we were only able to report it in the evening, action was taken that same evening and the situation was fully and optimally resolved by 7 a.m. the next morning. Once again, a big thank you for this! The entire exchange with the landlords was friendly, warm-hearted and personal - as were the many lovely details in the house, which rounded off the stay perfectly. We can recommend this vacation home without reservation.
Lovely older home, remodeled with up to date finishes. The back yard is fully enclosed with a very secure privacy fence, our dogs loved it! The master bathroom is beautiful! Would definitely stay here again.

Stellar location and communication
Location is awesome! Cleanliness, quality of amenities, and overall condition of the property relative to the price could be improved. However, it is not overstating to say the responsiveness of the property owner outweighed all of that.
Loved it. Kari was quick in answering any questions we had. After working through 10 meetings every day at the convention, our 3 team members enjoyed this comfy house to decompress, debrief, and disengage. It's super close to the Convention Center and all the downtown Grapevine coffee houses and restaurants, plus our last minute needs at CVS and the grocery store. Highly recommend. A tip: we pre-scheduled Lyft every morning and then booked a return on the fly to go back and forth to the Gaylord Texan saving some money on the 45 per day parking.
Just a few blocks to downtown Grapevine! Wonderful layout with two “wings”. Master bath & bedroom on one side and two beds & bath on the other. Fenced yard is a major plus for our 2 puppies. Wine from the host was a lovely surprise. Double oven also a plus!
All was well and had a great experience except for one thing. Couldn’t get over the dog hair I spotted in the house. I’m not an indoor dog owner and I have a tendency to notice things like that.
We were very pleased with our stay at the Little Red House. It was nicely decorated for Christmas and centrally located to the Historic district. We loved that it was pet friendly. Our dogs enjoyed running in the fence backyard. We definitely will return in the future!
I stayed at Kari's property with my husband and 9 1/2 year old dog in early November. Kari was very easy to communicate with and was always quick to respond to any inquiry. We loved the gesture of the welcome bottles of wine she left and enjoyed those to unwind after our very long drive from Illinois. The location of this house was excellent, being very close to downtown Grapevine and Arlington, where we went to see an NFL game. We also appreciated the large completely fenced in backyard that made it safe to let our dog off leash to potty and sniff and enjoy the fresh air (thank you for providing a pooper scooper, so thoughtful!). The house itself was suitable and was fine for our short stay, but does lack the comfort/tidiness needed for long-term rentals/vacations. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and appreciated being welcomed.
Great location, being a short walk to historic Main Street. Big and comfortable. A couple minor cleanliness issues

My husband and I love Grapevine. We love to travel but really prefer the personal touches of staying at a home. We have 2 short term rentals in the area and are always close by to help out any visitors - unless we are travelling ourselves. (Then we have a back up.) We moved out of the home in 2004 to be closer to my husband's work and to start the downsizing process. We moved to a larger home in 2018 as to accommodate family. It is all about family. We love Grapevine and all that it has to offer.
Why they chose this property
This property has history and the location is spectacular. Close to everything but not close enough that our driveway and street are packed with cars every weekend. The kitchen is great to cook in and the master bedroom skylights help with relaxation.
