About this property

30 minutes from Lambeau & steps from Lake Michigan! 2 beauties in one!

The Shoreline in Manitowoc, WI is near everything! Just a short walk down the hill and you are on the Mariner's Trail. Walk or bike along the trail and enjoy Lake Michigan at your fingertips. Take a 15 minute walk downtown and you will find shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, Farmers Market, Manitowoc Library, SS Badger Ferry, The Wisconsin Maritime Museum and The Manitowoc Marina.


Our rental unit is a side by side duplex and was just built in 2018. The unit sleeps 6, has 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. The master bedroom has a queen size bed with an attached bathroom suite. Guest bedroom has 2 twin beds and a full bath adjacent. There are 2 portable twin beds. The master bedroom is quite large and could accommodate the 2 extra beds but feel free to use them where convenient. The Living room has a couch, 3 occasional chairs, and a 40" TV. The dining room has a table for 4 and there is a large kitchen island with 3 barstools. There is a concrete patio in the back with a Weber Grill. This home has an open concept with vaulted ceilings. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the essentials for preparing meals at home. We also are inspected annually by the city of Manitowoc and own an operators license for a Rooming House.

Amenities include: central air, wireless internet, cable TV, books, cribbage board, scrabble game, bedding and linens, gas fireplace in LR, kitchen cookware and dishes. There are 2 bikes to use with a lock, as well as a stationary Schwinn Air-dyne bike in the basement. There are 2 yoga mats in the front hall closet with sanitizer spray. (porta-crib is available with notice)

Nearby fun: Golf courses are in huge supply in this area including the Championship Whistling Straits is only a 20 min drive away. Lake Michigan provides beaches, charter fishing, sailing, kayaking, paddle boarding, etc. Woodland Dunes Nature Center and Preserve, Maribel Caves, Point Beach State Park, & Silver Creek Park are just a few of the natural attractions. Green Bay, home of America's beloved Green Bay Packers is a 30 min drive to the north. Sheboygan/Kohler is a 30 min drive to the south.

This is a very nice, clean home with an exceptional location and a very attentive owner. The mattresses are quite firm, but the host was nice enough to provide a mattress topper, which did help some. Great place to stay overall!

Best short term rental I've ever stayed in

Fantastic long weekend in Manitowoc. It is hard to imagine a better spot nearby. Truly steps from the lake, can sit on the porch and watch the sunrise. Beautiful, clean, and with anything you might need for your stay. The owners were easy to reach and very friendly and accommodating.

Our last name is Gottsacker and in german it loosely translates to "God's Acre".
So we are naturally drawn to land and homes! With that being said, we have used VRBO quite often with 4 grown children living in 4 different locations throughout the world and we felt compelled to offer a property of our own. We also are in the Real Estate trade of listing & selling homes as well as Real Estate development and general contracting. We have a passion about hospitality and hope that your stay at "The Shoreline" will reflect that passion.

Why they chose this property

We purchased a parcel of land in Manitowoc, home of the former "Fricke" brick yard. After the brick yard business exited, the land became an overgrown piece of property with long grasses, & unkept trees and shrubs leading down to the Little Manitowoc River. We saw the potential in this land jewel situated above the river and giving us glorious lake views. So we developed a large portion of the land on Hawthorne Ct. into a condominium development and the lot on Cleveland Ave. is our investment property with a long term renter on one side and short term renters at The Shoreline, 134 Cleveland Ave.

134 Cleveland Ave. aka The Shoreline has such a great location in Manitowoc. Steps away from Lake Michigan and walking distance to downtown with shops & restaurants. Manitowoc sees the beauty of our lakeshore and it seems that new businesses are popping up every year to take advantage of this great destination!
