Cottage Charm, 3 Bedrooms - 10 Minutes to Starved Rock!

Escape the city for the weekend and stay in this entire, private home, located just minutes from Starved Rock State Park and tons of other fun outdoor activities!

This stylish and bright 3 bedroom, 1 ½ bath home has everything you need for your getaway! So, pack a weekender bag and head down to Starved Rock Country.

Relax in the platform beds with memory foam mattresses and crisp, white linens and feather duvets.

Get your chef on in the fully stocked kitchen with cookware and dinnerware for eight. All you need to bring is your imagination and a good bottle of wine.

The bathrooms are stocked with fresh towels and all the basic amenities- just pack a toothbrush.

This home is full of light, vibrant colors and designer touches.

If you have a dog, a pet fee is required: $25.00 / per stay. Maximum two dogs. NO CATS ARE ALLOWED. Simply let me know in your introductory email that you are bringing your dog and I will send the fee request. Thanks!

The home sleeps 8 guests.
The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. There are two upstairs bedrooms- one has a queen bed (and available twin air mattress for a child) and the other has two twin beds. There is also a full size sleeper sofa in the living room downstairs.

(Major Holiday Weekends can only be booked for a minimum of Friday-Monday.)

STARVED ROCK STATE PARK is only 10 minutes away (The Lodge is a stand-out and the entertainment on the patio / bar is fantastic.)

A sweet house in a lovely location

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this lovely cottage. Everything was thoughtfully arranged and the location made it easy to travel to Starved Rock and Ottawa while enjoying the best of LaSalle.

Really enjoyed our stay while visiting family in La Salle. The host was very responsive and kind which made the entire process so easy. The house was clean and well equipped. We all felt very comfortable there and will definitely be staying there again next time we visit.

Perfection!

We stayed here for a visit with our 82 year old father, my family and brothers family stayed in this adorable home! The description and pictures reflect exactly what the house is. Highly recommend this home, location and the host!

Great little house

We enjoyed our stay. It was so great to find a place that we could bring our dog. The host provided everything we needed and then some. She even leaves a nice note, chocolates and goodies for your pup. We have already decide we will visit again and ask to stay at the Lindberg home. It was well worth it and a great trip.

Great home. Well stocked and quaintly furnished. Great beds. Lots of sweet touches. Local park nearby great for swimming. Starved rock hiking nearby. Kids loved the short walk to Twistee Freeze. Elaine was easy to work with. Really affordable for families wishing to enjoy Starved Rock.

Perfect for us

The Lindberg Cottage was exactly what we were looking for on our spring break. It was true to the listing and even more charming in person. We stayed in April 2022 and Twisty Freeze was open for the season. The drives were easy to Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks. The kitchen was nice. The furniture is tasteful and comfortable. The beds were great. There's a lot of natural light throughout the house, and it has a very efficient floorplan, making it seem bigger on the inside than it looks from outside. The listing photos showed a convertible air hockey/ ping pong table, but the host had added a separate full sized ping pong table by the time we stayed. We also took advantage of a complimentary wine tasting over in Utica and that was very nice. Thank you Elaine!

Very nice, comfortable home. Exactly as advertised and would stay here again although next time I’m stealing the recliner (it was amazing and we all fought over it.) Elaine was an excellent communicator even giving us warning steps when inclement weather came through.

Wonderful stay at the Cottage Charm. Plenty of room for the four of us, everything was clean, the attention to detail was awesome. Every time I messaged the owner, I heard back very quick. We had no troubles finding the place, getting in, or with anything in the house. We would definitely stay here again and so should you!

Perfectly appointed home!

The house was perfect, beautiful, hardwood floors, completely redone bathrooms with all of an older homes charm restored. There are all kinds of unique, thoughtful touches, including a working record player with plenty of albums to choose from. Just two blocks from the park, it is perfectly located. I would definitely recommend!

Lovely!

We came with family and our toddler to spend the weekend exploring at Starved Rock and Matthiesen State Parks. They were an easy 15min drive away, and Elaine's place was the perfect cozy place to come back to! The home is beautiful and Elaine had so many wonderful touches, including a welcome toy for our dog! We'll definitely be back, thank you Elaine!

Great Weekend

Amazing stay!

We had a great spring break stay and loved the house! The kids had so much fun playing air hockey and ping pong, there were treats for our pup, and we had plenty of room to spread out and relax after a long day of hiking. Also a great location- we had ice cream every day! Our kiddos insist we only stay here when we visit going forward- so much fun!

Spring Break 2025

Very cozy comfortable stay that we felt so at home in. Nice location close to many varied things to do. It was lovely to be able to enjoy home cooked meals and conversation around the sinner table, yet enjoy a nice meal out with the choices in the area. Would definitely enjoy coming back to this area.

Close to Starved Rock

Nice house in Lasalle IL that served as a base for our hiking expeditions in the park. Thoughtful owner... greeted us with dog treats/toy for the furry member of our group.
