Our host was so easy to work with, good communications. The location was fantastic! Very secluded, great view, lovely cabin, lots of amenities provided.
This is a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. Large deck, private dock and fire pit were great places to hang out. Sun room was great on a rainy day. Would definitely stay here again.
Very peacefully and quiet! It was a nice house to stay in. Used the lake toys which were wonderful. Park and ride is close for utv riding. Only issue is there is not a lot of room at end of driveway to turn two 20' trailers around and park.
The place was beautiful and unbelievably quiet! I always read reviews and there a couple past reviews that complained about no handrails going to the basement where there is a washer and dryer, a very nice convenience since we stayed for two weeks and went home with almost no dirty laundry. Anyway there is now a handrail. We took out the kayaks and pedal boat, hiked and had a really great time. We would definitely recommend this beautiful house on the lake.
We had a great time at this ideal place for an “up north” visit: only heard sounds of Mother Nature, cooking over campfire, kayaking and peddle boat fun.
We loved this property because of the privacy and quiet lake! Lots of room to play inside and out. We also took advantage of the included water toys-paddle boat, paddle board, kayaks, and floating swim raft! The water is clean and we caught lots of fish. Would definitely stay again!
Great unique location for a lake home. Has everything you need in the lake house for an excellent trip. Very short drive to town. We have rented over 8 cabins in northern Wisconsin over the last couple years and this is by far the most private of all of them. Hope to visit again.
We enjoyed out stay very remote and quiet which is just what we needed. Enjoyed all the water toys offered and the home. Would stay again...special shout out to WPS for their quick response when transformer blew due to electrical storm came out and had it fixed asap
Our family of three generations enjoyed our stay on Hildebrand Lake. The cottage was well equipped, particularly the kitchen. We especially enjoyed the “water toys” of kayaks, paddle boat and paddle board, as well as a swim platform. Since there are about 20 cottages on the lake it’s extremely quiet with little water traffic. The nearby town of Rhinelander provides good dining and shopping. Overall a low key family vacation.
It is a very quiet lake great for fishing and relaxing. It has a floating dock to swim out to and relax in the sun. No neighbors close by. For young families, there isn't a sandy beach to play on or sandy base in the water. Otherwise, we are already talking about going back again.
The house was just right! Plenty of space. We weren't able to stream anything on the TV, but that was fine. The lake was nice (and quiet!) and the kayaks, paddle boat, and paddle board were used frequently. My husband fished off the pier with our 3 yo grandson and caught blue gills and bass (for fun!). Saw loons, an eagle, and a bear! Lots to do nearby - miniature golf, bumper boats, and go-karts. It was a nice vacation.

Beautiful! Quiet! Peaceful!
What an awesome property and host. Matt was very responsive to questions and concerns. The rental property is located in a secluded part of the lake with privacy for those who want it. The lake was great with many fish being caught. We had a group of 10 guys for a weekend fishing getaway and the place was large enough to fit us all with us bringing extra airbeds. With our group we accumulated quiet the amount of trash, so only downfall was there was only 1 small garbage bin outside to put all the trash into. If your looking for quiet time on a beautiful lake this is your place!

I’m glad you enjoyed the property as much as our family does. I will make sure to get a couple additional garbage cans for the larger groups.
The property is as listed, no surprises! Wonderful view of the lake, very clean, extra amenities for the last minutes items you may have forgot. Heating/AC was super simple and worked perfect, bedrooms were clean with extra fresh linens. Check in and out process were smooth and easy. Garage full of fun little extras for the kids of all ages. Didn’t see as much wildlife as I thought we would, being in the woods, but we were greeted every morning by a painted turtle walking across the yard, and even got to see the turtle lay her eggs… super exciting for our 9yo. We’ve already decided to rebook again for next year! Thanks, Matt, for a wonderful getaway!
Paddle boat and kayaks were great for the week to explore the lake. We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. The master bedroom is a loft which we were not expecting. The four seasons room was very soundproof which created a good location for a sleeping baby since the master bedroom was a loft. The propane tank for the grill ran out the second time we grilled causing some mid-cooking changes. It was replaced the following day. It would be nice to have an extra tank that could be swapped out by the guests or to make sure it was full. Overall we had a great time. We basically had the entire lake to ourselves for the week. The yellow raft was great to lay in the sun or to jump off of. The bottom of the lake is rocky/squishy however the water in the lake is very clear. The property is on a rather large piece of land that can be explored including a large pond. The owners provided life jackets, fishing poles, and swimming rafts that all added to our great vacation.
