Enjoy your Summer Beach Retreat at this Spacious Cottage located on 1 acre of land that is 3 blocks walking distance to Newcomb Beach .....1 of 5 Lake Michigan beaches on the North Side of South Haven.
Freshly repainted throughout Dec, 2023.

The yard is spacious with gardens, and lots of children's play space.
Viewing nature at it's finest, often deer & wild turkeys are seen in the back yard!

And, you can easily walk a few blocks to see a beautiful, picturesque sunset over
Lake Michigan! A nice path for riding bikes is across the street so you can ride
or walk to the Lake and nearby subdivision with your family... basketball courts
are close by also at Baseline Middle School for older children

Great experience! We had one issue while we stayed and the hosts responded and resolved it very quickly! Overall a very smooth stay, the rooms were comfortable and clean, the showers were great.

We enjoyed that the cottage was a very short walk (0.3 miles) to a small public beach. We especially loved that we could also walk along the water for several miles in front of private residences/beaches. We ended up driving to some of the bigger beaches as well. The cottage itself is adequate for a short stay. The owner was timely with information and check-in was super easy.

The home was adorable. So clean and comfortable. It’s perfectly located a block from the beach and 6 minutes from downtown. We loved the entire stay.

The house was perfect and was just right for our trip. Kitchen was well stocked pan and container wise. We used the crockpot quite a bit. The beds were good, everyone slept well. We were also able to walk to a small beach each evening and a couple of the days. It is also a quick drive or bike ride to the North Beach.

We enjoyed the cute house and location of this South Haven property. Quiet relaxing neighborhood close to Lake Michigan. We had everything we needed for our week long stay in our favorite lake town!

This was our second time staying here and I'm hesitant to rave about it because we want to be able to come back again - which should say a lot. The location is great and walking to the beach is a so easy! Meijer is just down the road too, so easy to keep the kids' snacks stocked up as well. There are stairs, so if that is a factor, you'd need to drive for a no-stair beach, like North Beach. We love the space in the yard and the critters that come through. The boys chased some of the wild turkeys. There were a few sweet fawns as well. The beds are comfortable and the couches are spacious for our family to watch TV together. We cooked several dinners and thank goodness we had a dishwasher and plenty of dishes so I didn't spend time handwashing things (which I've done at other rentals). The hosts have a lot of great recommendations for area attractions and our kiddos enjoyed the farms and playgrounds around town. We also made use of the board games and played some competitive Monopoly when we were stuck indoors due to the weather. We certainly feel very at home and hope to be able to make our plans for next year coordinate with staying there again.

Really nice stay. Great location near the lake, about a 5 minute walk to public access. Easy check in with great communication from owner. House was very clean and modern on the inside. Lots of space outside with things to do such as cornhole and fire pit. Would stay here again

Great location and home

This was my family’s first time in Michigan. We wanted to stay for a few days and came across this home that was perfect for our stay. Everything was clean and the home was in the perfect location for a quick trip to north beach. We would love to stay at this location again in the future.

Great Property

This was our 2nd stay at this property. That should tell you that Griffin Point is a great place that you would want to come back to. Close to beaches and to town which has great restaurants, shops, etc. Beautiful beaches where you can see beautiful sunsets within walking distance. Great location!!

We only ate snacks as we dined out both nights. We did use the coffee maker and it was great.Had a little issue finding a specific basketball game on the TV but the host was very responsive and helped us get to the station we wanted.Are at Clementines on Friday and it was good. Saturday ate at Black River Tavern which had a live band and it was very good.

Cozy Cottage on the edge of town

We loved our stay here! Super close to Newcome beach which was less crowded than the other options near by. The quiet setting was relaxing and we enjoyed seeing the wildlife in the yard. We look forward to returning!
