This home is located just outside of downtown Eastpoint towards Carrabelle, overlooks St. George Sound and has 140' of bay frontage. The property has a private, sandy beach area across 98 from house and shallow water for about 500 feet out. Easy kayak/canoe/paddle board launching. Great crabbing; redfish, flounder, mackerel, and sea trout fishing (wade or kayak). Fish out front all year long; duck hunting in fall/winter right in front of the home; deer/bear hunting back of property in fall/winter. Property backs up to state forest. Large screened in pool that can be heated in cool months for additional fee. (Pool will not be heated unless weather reports indicate temperatures 60 degrees or warmer. Pool heats to approximately 20 degrees over air temps. Comfortable swimming temperatures are between 84 and 89 degrees or 78 to 84 if swimming for fitness). New deck great for viewing bay and sunbathing. Outdoor park-style charcoal BBQ grill. Screened porch w/water view to enjoy outdoor coffee, wine or dining. Minutes from St. George Island, Carrabelle, Eastpoint and Apalachicola where you can find grocery stores, restaurants, seafood markets and shopping. Master has queen bed, private bath w/walk in ceramic tile shower, TV and separate sitting area w/bay view. One guest room w/queen bed and one w/2 twin beds share bath w/walk in ceramic tile shower. Open floor plan w/bar seating, living room and large dining table w/bay view. Large flat screen TV w/Direct in living area; Streaming YouTube TV in living area and all bedrooms. Fiber optic WiFi. Fully equipped kitchen has ceramic cooktop, oven, microwave, coffee maker and dishwasher. Washer/dryer. This is a pet friendly home but please be respectful of our neighbors who also have dogs. Leashes and cleanup required. Adequate parking and turn around area for vehicles and your boat. Bring your own boat or charter w/a guide. Bay fishing, flats, offshore and freshwater. Small fish cleaning area at side of house. This home, as most waterfront homes in Eastpoint, sits across Highway 98 from the bay. We own the land on both sides of the highway. St. George Island is 15 minutes away offering pet friendly, white sandy beaches, lighthouse (self tour), SGI State Park (no pets) w/bath houses, picnic shelters, shallow boat launching, hiking, biking (rentals available). In Eastpoint, Lynn's Quality Oysters is a great seafood market and casual restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the bay. The Red Pirate is another good casual restaurant with mini-golf and live music at the outdoor bar. Apalachicola is 15 minutes away offering boutique/antique shopping, oyster bars, fine dining, historical downtown and waterfront touring. Carrabelle, historic deepwater fishing village, is less than 10 minutes away and offers several small marinas, a public, pet-friendly, white sandy beach w/bathhouse and picnic area great for lounging, swimming or walking, Crooked River Lighthouse, WWII Museum, restaurants, grocery store, and water ferry to Dog Island. For golfers, St. James Bay world class golf course and Audubon Signature Sanctuary is about 20 minutes away and is open to the public Tuesday thru Sunday. GPS equipped golf carts, 2 practice putting greens, full size driving range and full round course. Restaurant and full service bar on site. Wakulla Springs State Park (site where Creature from the Black Lagoon and early Tarzan were filmed) is a great, inexpensive day trip for all ages about one hour from the home. It's worth the trip. Park offers swimming/diving platforms in the clear spring, a restaurant and gift shop/ice cream bar, and guided boat tours to view fish, gators, birds, turtles and manatees up close. Visit the Apalachicola National Estuarine Research Reserve about 10 minutes away from the house towards SGI. Admission is FREE. Open Tuesday thru Saturday from 9-4. Park is pet friendly (but no dogs in buildings). Educational and interactive exhibits, aquariums, nature boardwalks, fishing pier, and Millender Park provides public access to picnic pavilions and bayshore beach. Property is surrounded by Tate's Hell State Forest consisting of 202,000 acres supporting 12 major habitats, great for hiking, birding and other wildlife/plant viewing. Visit the Boardwalk overlooking drawf cypress in Tate’s Hell. Common animals such as gators, wildcats, deer and bear are found in the area. Another great day trip is to the end of Indian Pass (40 minutes away) where you can launch your kayak and paddle to St. Vincent's National Wildlife Refuge, an island that is a haven for endangered wildlife such as bald eagles, sea turtles, red wolves and Asiatic elk. Several boat rentals nearby. Bait and tackle shops nearby. 4 fishing kayaks. Basketball goal and corn hole boards for your use or to entertain the kids while you cook your daily catch. Beach umbrella and chairs for guest use along w few beach/pool toys. Minimum stay is 7 days from Memorial Day thru July 31st. If you are unfamiliar with the bay area of Eastpoint, I encourage you to message me to make sure this home is right for you. The bay is not the same as “beachfront” and not many people swim in this area of the bay. But if you are looking for a relaxing vacation in "old Florida" with a variety of activities close by, this home has it all!

A little slice of heaven
We were delighted with our stay at Michelle's property in Eastpoint. The house was roomy, comfortably decorated, immaculately clean, and every item needed for a restful trip was provided. The house is close to so many things to do, including half a dozen parks (state, national, and local preserves), SGI beach, and Apalachicola. The view of the sound was so beautiful, it was a delight to have breakfast watching dawn break. And the stars at night were AMAZING, we could see the bands of the Milky Way. As a bonus, we were there for the Monarch Butterfly migration, and there were thousands of butterflies all over the place. It was wonderful!

Pleasant Getaway
My family and I had a wonderful time while we stayed here. We wanted a chance to have some calm relaxing time to finish off the summer. This place was perfect. We visited some of the local towns while we were here, but we mostly just stayed at the house. A lot of time was spent at the pool or down by the water building sand castles and flying kites. Lynn’s was a great local place to stop in for some fresh seafood. We also thoroughly enjoyed Bayside Coffee Co. They roast their own beans and everything is made fresh upon order. We hope to come back again in the future!

Relaxing
The home was very clean and the lay out was perfect. We really enjoyed the pool over looking the bay and spent almost our whole time in the screen in patio watching the birds dive for fish and dolphins swim by. The home was close to great restaurants and stores . The location was perfect to hop over to the island for an hour or a day. The owner was quick with responses. And one of if not the easiest check out I’ve ever had. This home made it great for our first time to St George. Worth every penny

We reside on a lake in the North Georgia Mountains. We recently purchased this property and took over the rentals. This is our first adventure with vacation rentals.

Why they chose this property

We purchased this property after staying here for our family vacation. We chose this area because it is close to beautiful beaches, great boating/fishing and away from the crowds. The kids love kayaking/fishing in the bay and hitting the pool when it gets hot. In the cooler months, the property is a great spot for hunting.

What makes this property unique

This home is conveniently located near so many great outdoor activities all year round.
