I love that we are centrally located between the two bridges for quick access to shopping or the beach, but it is quieter and more relaxing than either. Serene location with bay breezes and views and lots of wildlife. Use the sidewalk to visit the Marine Estuary and fishing pier a block away.

This is the best place we’ve stayed in the Eastpoint/Apalachicola area!! Deborah’s place is beautifully decorated, extremely clean and she is a wonderful host! We had a brief plumbing issue but she had a plumber out immediately to fix it. All correspondence with her was quick and friendly! We look forward to staying there again!!
We had a fabulous vacation at this beautiful home. The kitchen had everything you needed.... including a Ninja for smoothies. Three bathrooms made it fantastic. The host has games for all ages, books to read and huge screen tvs. The screened porch was a favorite spot of mine. Using a hand cart, we carried our kayaks/paddle boards across the street to the bay. Not having to tie them down on our car rooftop was so convenient. Bottled water was provided both cold and hot. For us, this house was perfect. Highly recommend.
Everything was perfect! This is a beautiful home, not a place thrown together for rental purposes. Everything is top-notch and very clean. We we loved the large paver area below the house that will be perfect when we return with our boat. We have stayed at many short-term rentals and this is by far the best of all. We highly recommend this property.
Wonderful property between Apalachicola and St. George
The house was exactly as advertised. The surprise for me was the outstandingly stocked pantry. Coffee, tea, spices and more! Wow! Our host Deborah was readily available to solve a minor issue on our arrival. We would wholeheartedly recommend this home to everyone.
Thank you Deborah!
We had a great stay! The property was spotless and had everything we could want or need. The location, right between SGI and Apalachicola, was very convenient for all of the activities we wanted to do. The screened in porch was perfect, and we enjoyed walking our dog along the bay, right across the street. Our kids are already asking when we can go back, and we’re looking at dates in the fall for another visit!
Pretty much equidistant from Apalachicola and St George Island, Tropical Treehouse is within walking distance of the Estuarine Center and a bbq place, and yet sits in a place where you don’t see neighbors to either side, but have a lovely view of the bay. It is extremely well equipped with anything you might need during your stay, the best of anywhere we’ve stayed, and we’ve stayed many different places. It is spacious and comfortable. Deb is very accommodating and quick to respond although we really didn’t have any issues. Easy to get to other interests or ideal just to relax and take in the view.
Property, location, and hostess were all perfect. We loved our stay and would recommend Tropical Treehouse to anyone that wants the perfect cozy getaway.
It is lovely; appointed with beautiful pictures and clean attractive furniture. The children loved the bunk bed and it’s windows. Adults enjoyed wrap around screened in porch!!
The house was clean and ready upon arrival with modern amenities and a well stocked kitchen. It is a convenient location to Apalachicola and St.George Island. We loved and utilized the screened in porches. The only bothersome thing for us was that it was not made known in the listing that there was a live in apartment below the house that is utilized by the owner. We would prefer complete privacy in the houses we rent. However I will say that the person that was coming and going did not bother us AT ALL, we just would have appreciated knowing this information before we secured our booking. Overall it was a great house!
Return visit to Eastpoint, Apalachicola andSt. George Island in 25 years with daughter and family.
Very well kept contemporary home that welcomes guests with an overall impression much more favorable than the photos on the VRBO website. The location is very close to St. George Island bridge and beaches, local food locations, with all modern appliances and a very efficient air conditioner system, comfortable beds, screens around the balconies, even under the floors! A lovely home & Hostess/Owner. Lots of extras that are not normally supplied in a VRBO rental. Stayed in many here & abroad, this is unquestionably one of the best experiences!
Loved that the home was centrally located between Apalachicola and St. George Island. House was very homey, lots of room, and enjoyed the wrap around porch. Well stocked kitchen and baths, also enjoyed the large shaded lot and parking underneath.
I loved the house and the beautiful view of the bay from the front porch. The cornhole and ping pong came in very handy also especially when it was raining. Very well stocked kitchen and super clean house. The owner was very easy to get in touch with and answered questions promptly. Would stay here again for sure.
The house was very nice and clean. It had everything you needed. It was very close to everything. I even enjoyed playing games with my grandkids that was provided.
A beautiful home in an amazing vacation destination! The house was a perfect family retreat, and the owner was very accommodating. Everything in the home is very thought out. Cool bunk beds for the kids to include some books and board games to keep them having fun. The complete kitchen allowed us to have some great meals without breaking the bank. We spent every morning and evening on the screened-in wrap around porch having coffee and drinks without having to worry about mosquitos. We had an overall fantastic experience.
We really enjoyed our week here. The kids stayed busy playing cornhole, ping pong and darts, when we weren't at the beach. The house is centrally located to all the areas we enjoy when coming here. It is a lovely home and the owners Deb and Steve, pay so much attention to little details made our stay so much more convenient. Thank you for sharing, hope we can stay here again next year!

We were looking for a non-condo style vacation home and the Tropical Treehouse was the right choice. The location is wonderful and the property is lush with beautiful landscapes. We loved sitting on the screened porch and playing some of the many games offered. The house was stocked with really nice amenities and very clean. We loved the towels!!
We had a great stay and we found the house to be very clean and comfortable. Neighborhood very quiet
We enjoyed walking across the street to go down to the beach for sunsets. The air conditioning system worked great. We did call the owner because we were surprised to find the tv did not have basic cable, which prevented us from seeing the March Madness game we were looking forward to. She was very responsive in fixing us up with a free trial subscription so that we did not miss the second game. I think it would be helpful to future guests if basic cable is provided along with beach towels and chairs. Other than that I definitely recommend this house, and would happily return again if we are ever in the area.
We were a group of three artists in town for an art event. The treehouse became our home away from home and we loved our time there! Everything went smoothly from checkin to checkout. Our host was very responsive if we had a question or inquiry. The house was very clean and beautifully appointed with cozy touches, comfortable beds and sheets, nice fresh towels and added details such as soaps, amenities and supplies! Couldn’t have been more pleased with our stay and the location was perfect since it was close to everything! Hope to be back sometime soon!
This was our first time back to the area in 5 years and it was so good to be back. It was our first time in this house and we found a good one. We will certainly stay here again if everything lines up right. The Host was great. Always checked on us to make sure we had what we needed and to give updates on anything going on with the rental. A bear had been spotted just prior to us checking in and our only disappointment with our stay was that we didn't get to see it. Maybe next time. My family and I had a great time staying here. We are definitely looking forward to staying here again.

I have been so lucky to have lived in this beautiful place for the last 20 years and am excited to share it with others! I hope you love it as much as I do! I ran Island Adventures on St. George Island for many years, but sold it to my employees so i could work on the farm I inherited from my family. While you are on St. George, check it out, great bunch working there! I grew up in the Panhandle area and spent ever summer on the beaches, swimming, boating, fishing and crabbing. It is great family fun and a wonderful get away from all the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Why they chose this property
I purchased this property after selling a couple of homes on St. George Island, because it had more land, fewer restrictions and was more private, yet right between to both St. George Island or Apalachicola. I find the setting to be ideal for relaxing and unwinding from stress.
What makes this property unique
You will find staying here is very quiet where the main beach area can be very crowded and loud during the summer months. However if you have access to all the beach areas in about 5 minutes. It is close enough to drive guests over, come back for lunch then go back for an evening walk. However, you may want to go to our local brewery in the evenings and share a pizza or maybe take the kids to the Estuary. The Red Pirate has wonderful seafood just down the street! Or maybe you want to see the shops in Apalachicola or eat at the famous Owl Cafe! All just 5 minutes away!
