Easy access to Timberline. No strep driveway (we have previously needed chains AND 4WD to access other houses in Old Timberline, so we were happy to see this wasn't the case). Rental company/owner responsive and efficient.
What a wonderful cabin! IF YOU ARE GOING TO THE AREA STAY HERE! Nowhere else!
Just perfection! We relaxed the house is super clean and the fire pit is magical!
The cabin was wonderful! Exactly what we hoped it would be and more! Location was perfect for us in a very quiet, peaceful woods away from any noise. The cabin was quant and perfectly “old school,” relaxing and had all we needed and more. Can’t say enough about this home. Would love to own it! Hint hint! We will be back in the fall.
Everything was clean and nice, but we did not enjoy the crammed main floor bathroom. Beds were comfy but the pillows were not. We were pleased to have box fans also as there are no ceiling fans! All in all a nice stay!
Property was exactly as described. Previous reviews mentioned moldy basement, but we did not notice a smell. It was a bit chilly in the basement at night, but that’s the only complaint.
The only downside was the distance from the property to the road, and all the dirt. But once you were out of the property area, there was lots to see and explore in the area.

Private
Was Not as Clean as Expected the one bathroom on main floor was very small and broken item on steps to basement was dangerous and called with no response with these exceptions we had a wonderful time and truly relaxed from hustle and bustle of every day life we found more chairs at fire pit than than at dining room table to be amusing (LOL)

Anniversary getaway
We enjoyed the surroundings, the local food was great, the local scenery. The trails were wonderful. We enjoyed all of that, only issue was the cabin itself, it’s very outdated if there had been more than two of us, we would’ve asked for a new place to stay. Because even though the basement was beautiful, it was unusable the mildew smell actually made my husband sick. He had to stand outside until he cleared up. The ceiling fan in the living room, was falling off, with vaulted ceilings, we were unable to reach it. We couldn’t use it so we were forced to depend on the box fans that were supplied to us for fresh air. The house was filthy, be careful opening the windows, it was disgusting and filthy spider webs bugs of all kinds. Even under our master bedroom bed was trash, just needed a vacuum under there, I didn’t pay over $1000 to clean. I was tempted though. But we enjoyed our anniversary. Regardless, we did not let that ruin it. But I’d never stay there again it needs a complete makeover. And you could tell that they’re trying to take care of the issues by running a dehumidifier and stuff but it’s past that, wasn’t gonna clear up the mold.
Nice cabin. Definitely needs a deep cleaning. I would not recommend having people sleep in basement as advertised as it is very musty. Location was private yet close enough to area amenities. Kitchen was well stocked. The check out info was a bit confusing since what was sent by email was different than what was posted in cabin and in binder materials. It would be helpful to clarify and make that consistent. Overall though a nice winter cabin getaway.

Good location, not very clean or comfortable
The cabin was ok. It was very dark and could have been a lot cleaner. The living room furniture really needs to be replaced. The kitchen is was not clean and the cooking tools and dishware was really lacking. The wood stove was great, but wood was not include.
Beautiful house, great location, comfortable, it need to have a deep and detail cleaned. And instructions for returning keys But overall good I will come back
Beautiful fireplace area for evenings. Quiet private setting. No A/C which worked out ok for us as the weather was cooler than expected for this time of year. When we opened the windows there were tons of dead bugs on the window sills . Conflicting notes around for checkout process..guest book said one thing, typed message on fridge said something else plus hand written messages with still different directions. We are pretty simple easy going people who make the best of what we have so did enjoy our time together here but some of these things could really wreck a vacation
Had a great vacation with our family. The property manager made it super easy to check in and office staff answered any questions we had. Would definitely rent again.

Nice
Very nice area loved to serenity and quietness but the cabin it self needs updated furniture.. the basement has a smell to it.. and i do Alot of trips plus i work at a place where we rent cabin and we DO NOT make ppl strip there beds wash there towels b4 they leave and clean up that is beyond belief so unnecessary.. when ur on vacation you shouldnt have to do that.. I believe thats why we payed $85 in our rental fee for cleaning.. Will i do it again maybe just not that cabin and not where the maids dont wanna do there job and expect us to.. Thanks Edward Cline

Quaint, rustic, and clean.
Cannan Reality was very helpful, the log home needs some safety improvement, front staircase needs two rails on each side to keep children from falling, staircase downstairs needs safety railing, lounge chair on porch needs a nut on the bolt allowing folding. There was no Internet connection which was advertised as available, when owner was notified he responded, "he forgot to get it connected", had to go to Cannan Reality to use their internet. He advertised free canoing, swimming, fishing, but didn't specify that was only available at Cannan Reality. Downstairs area was musty and kids refused to sleep there, really should remove cellar rugs which hold moisture, and get a full-time dehumidifier to rid cellar dampness, The requirement to wash linen and towels before leaving was unnecessary, use property mgt to turn over rental. The area was beautiful and enjoyable, and Cannan Reality saved our vacation with their assistance and hospitality.
