Inside enjoy four well-furnished bedrooms, and each one offers its own bathroom! Inside or out, it is easy to enjoy time with friends and family. The open kitchen and living room floorplan make meals the perfect time to gather for planning ahead or reminiscing about the past. Timberstone is pet-friendly, so pack the treats and the leash. Great Holiday Getaway With Family

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 1- the TV remotes missing in 3 bedrooms and batteries dead in 2 remotes so we had to replace them2- Floor dirty with dust bunnies, dirty sock, chips, dog bone3- cobwebs all over ceiling and ceiling fan4- drawers broken/missing knobs5- entrance platform rotten6- ductwork needs cleaning / filthy7- mouse trap in water heater closet stunk awful so I put the trap on the deck8- light bulbs out and no replacements so we had to go purchase some Very disappointed this year since the price went up ~25%. This is our 4th year staying in this unit and most likely our last.Cobweb photos available on request.

spring at Canaan

Reviewer Comments: Timberstone worked fine as a base for a spring paddling/hiking trip which a group of 6 good friends (compatible, considerate adults) have done for many years. no children in the mix. one old dog companion.typical spring weather. freezing to sunny 80 degrees during the course of 5 days, but no snow which we have had in the pasteasy access, lots of parking.the property description is accurate. It's an older cabin. nothing fancy, but good layout, well stocked, clean, generally well maintained. central common space with ample seating, dining table for 8 or a couple more in a pinch, workable kitchen area. 4 large bedrooms each with separate bath. lots of outdoor seating on decks. Inside would be crowded if all beds filled and weather kept everyone inside. other than bedrooms, there is only one big shared space.Its quiet in Old Timberline in the spring. easy access to refuge trails and the top of Cabin Mt is an added benefit.Best of Canaan was great to work with as always

Timberstone needs new gas grill!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great trip. Timberstone desperately needs new gas grill. The grill has been bad for years and i mention this every year during my review. That is the only thing bad about this property. Owner needs to spend $200 and get new grill so the experience is not ruined. I packed a portable blackstone griddle just in case this was not replaced.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I enjoyed my stay with my family at this cabin. It was well equipped with plenty of space and a nice hot tub. Close to slopes! The only recommendation would be an update of the mattresses as we found them to be too firm. We would also recommend dialing back the heat it was quite hot at night.
