About this property
Peaceful Urban Farmstay
This recently renovated property had previously been owned by a 101 year old farmer. The farm is being brought back to life by its owner. Enjoy a peaceful stay on a farm while still being close to all of the downtown amenities.
About the Space:
This is a lower level 1400 square foot apartment in the main farmhouse where the owners live.
The space has two bedrooms, one full bath, a living room, kitchen, dining area and fireplace. It is spacious, clean and perfect for a couple or a family with kids.
Guests will have access to wander around the property, garden, feed animals and relax in a rural setting inside city limits.
The farm has three total farmstay options. This is the largest of the three and the only pet friendly space for rent.
There are two additional, smaller units in the loft of the turn of the century barn.
We stay very busy here at the farm so you are likely to see other guests as well as us at some point during your stay at the farm.
We hope to host you during your time in Indy!

This is the perfect place just outside the city where you can have some peace and quiet! Beautiful grounds, friendly animals, wonderfully appointed. We loved every minute! Thank you Justin!
I enjoyed my stay. Everything met or exceeded my expectations. I grew up on the south side of Indy and I love this area. I’ll be a repeat visitor! Thanks to Justin, a fabulous host.
Great location to ICC and LO stadium. The apartment was set up with EVERY convenience. The towels were amazing and full size washer & dryer. It was safe , secure and quiet.
Overall experience was good. I could hear the footsteps from the tenants in the main house above us. And if you do get any of these properties, while very enjoyable, please bring bug spray!!
Great location. Close to everywhere we wanted to go. Keep in mind it is a farm and they do allow pets in the basement unit. In description it does say lower level but no mention of stairs (We have stayed in lower levels before that are zero entrance) so just keep that in mind that there are 6-8 stairs

Thank you for your feedback and for helping remind guests of a few things that are clearly listed on our listing. We host guests who have pets and one must be able to use stairs to enter the space.
Very nice owner and it was good to see all the gardens. We enjoyed the fire pit. The only issue was a fair amount of bugs inside. Not really a problem but a little home defense would prevent that.

Thanks for the feedback Patrick! We enjoyed hosting you. We’ll monitor for bugs but we’ve never found any issues and you’re the first to mention it.
We loved the rural setting and it was not far from necessities. I wished we were there later in the season to see the impressive gardens and landscape in full swing. I loved that they also sold fresh produce, eggs and meat so you could experience your own farm to table. Justin was very informative with questions about the property and surrounding fields. The rental was very inviting and comfortable.
The farmstay is better than the photos. We had everything we needed! This location has the quiet of the country and convenience of thd city. Justin was available if needed and and a great resource/recommendations for where to eat or things to do. We will be back....I am sure!
This is a peaceful property on a small urban farm. Even considering others are possibly there staying in the other spaces that are rented out, everything is so nice and quiet. It located in a nice neighborhood. The pet-friendly basement home is roomy and has everything you need for a nice stay. Just keep in mind you cannot have your pet sleep in the bed with you. For us, that was not an issue. We used the coffee pot, microwave, refrigerator, and stove while we were there. There are a couple of fire pits on the property - one large one and one small one. We liked walking among and seeing the vegetables that were being grown there. The 2 dogs and 6 cats are friendly and sweet. One of the cats, Maya, jumped on my lap to sleep and be petted. Then there are goat, chickens, and sheep. There are pails of food you can pick up near the barn to feed the goats/sheep/chickens if you like. The owner, Justin, is very nice and respectful, and instructions were easy to follow.
Came down for Gen Con. House was amazing and clean. Easy to get in and out so close to downtown. Was the best experience I have had coming to Indianapolis. Host was so nice and easy to contact.
We loved our stay here! Brought the family and our dog and everybody had a good time. It was nice and peaceful but still super close to downtown and other activities. We will definitely return if we find ourselves coming back to Indy!
My partner and I had a great stay with our rotti Gigi! It was really cozy and warm. The farm is so cool and you get to feed the animals. The dog Rumi was the highlight of our stay!
Staying here was a wonderful experience and will recommend it to others. It really is a gem inside Indianapolis. I would only share the beds were a little harder to sleep on. Thank you
Immaculate, spacious and comfortable with great flow and simple, artful aesthetic. We brought our two dogs along on a road trip to attend the Bands of America Grand Nationals at Lucas Oil Stadium. Our only disappointments were that we needed to keep our pups crated for the many sessions we attended over 4 days, and they were distracted by the many friendly dogs in the yard next door. Rumi , the farm dog, his cats and chickens made us smile. This well lit basement apartment was 3 miles away but out of the hustle and bustle of town in a quiet safe neighborhood. We enjoyed the comfy memory foam bed and cushy towels. Some spices were stocked in the well equipped kitchen, but we’ll have to come back in season to really enjoy the farm produce and animals. There are tons of games available in the barn, along with a foosball table. We did find a very good Indian restaurant and grocery store about a mile from the farm. Perfectly met our needs and we’d stay here again next time Indy calls!
Cute little farm. Justin was very friendly, he met us when we arrived with a bucket of food to feed the animals. He even made us a fire and had marshmallows for us on the first night. The house was clean and up to date. The kids' favorite part was petting the dogs and cats on the property. The only bummer was all the mosquito bites we came home with, but obviously that is out of anyone's control. Great place to stay, if we decide to go back to the Indianapolis area again we will definitely stay here.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We all liked visiting the animals and waking around the grounds each day. The farm fresh eggs are delicious. Thanks to Justin for the welcome.
My 19 yo son, two old Doggos and I spent two nights there last week to kick off a weeklong Midwest tour. This was absolutely delightful. The space was perfect, great living room, comfy beds, soft towels, the farm was fabulous, and so close to town, love!
