About this property

We only accept 7-night minimum stays, Saturday to Saturday. Summer 2021 is fully booked but there are a few weeks available in September & October.

ABOUT THE PROPERTY: The Sand Beach Cottage sits perched on the banks of Lake Michigan just a few steps from the water's edge. Enjoy breathtaking 180-degree views of Whitefish Bay and 200 feet of private and pristine sand beach. A winding grass driveway leads to the 1,150 square foot cottage. Located on 1.1 acres, the property is beautifully wooded on one side offering guests seclusion and privacy as well as sweeping views on the Lake side. The main living space was recently renovated allowing for unobstructed sight lines of both water and woods. The kitchen was upgraded over the winter making home-cooked meals all the more enjoyable. And an outdoor shower (with a view!) was recently added.

The Sand Beach Cottage sleeps a maximum of 4 guests. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 full-baths with laundry located in one bathroom. The bedrooms offer comfortable beds and new linens. The kitchen is fully equipped for home-cooked meals. Outside grilling is also an option on the Weber gas grill. The spacious living room / dining room has a beautiful wood-burning fireplace.

A large deck is situated off the living area; it's an ideal location to catch the sunrise and enjoy your morning coffee--or take in the moonrise and an evening cocktail. Simply put: the views, the location and the cottage itself can't be beat.

Short Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Can't beat the location or the views from the living room and deck area. Property owner was extremely communicative and responsive. Bathrooms/bedrooms are extremely clean and have been updated recently. Perfect size for our family of 5. Due to the water level on the lake, not much of a beach on property but the pier is short walk/drive and has a great beach for the little ones to play on. Would love to stay again!

Simply the best!

If you’re lucky enough to find this property available, don’t think twice and book it. We had a wonderful stay due in large part to the hospitality of the owner. She made sure that every comfort was provided- literally from an incredibly well stocked kitchen and three different kinds of shampoo to beach balls, fishing net and water toys for our children. The waterfront view is mesmerizing and the home is beautifully decorated and spotless. The beds are very comfortable. The home is well positioned tucked away on a small, quaint road with access to a little creek for fishing and exploring. White dunes park and cave point county park are just a few minutes away. Thank you Jennelle for opening your beautiful home to us. We appreciate all that you did to make our stay special!

Beautiful location

You can't get any closer to the beach. This property is lovely for early morning walks on the beach with a coffee. You also get to sleep to the sound of waves from your bedroom. The house is very kid friendly (toys, highchair, pac n play, and kids plates and utensils) and the owners are quick to respond and very accommodating. My family and I would definitely stay again.

Right On The Water. Welcoming Host.

My wife and infant daughter stayed for a week. This place has one of the best views and best sandy beach on the peninsula. Convenient into town for dinner or an afternoon shopping trip. The owners are very engaged and have clearly thought of the little touches that make it easy to spend your time relaxing on the beach instead of running to the store for condiments or a needed toiletry item. We've stayed at dozens of vrbos and this ranks along the very best. Not a fancy place, but a lake house retreat shouldn't be.
