Cozy, comfortable, beautiful views, and stellar outdoor space. This home has it all. Coffee on either of the porches was tranquil—a great way to wake up! S’mores around the fire pit, catching fireflies, making friends with the toad that lives under the porch, and playing games on the lawn. Convenient to town and Great Smoky Mountain National Park (about 35 minutes). The perfect family getaway. We loved it!

We are absolutely delighted you've had such a wonderful time at Pine Tree Cabin . We loved having you . Hope to see you next season.
Cheers!! Gracie and Joe
We thoroughly enjoyed the well-appointed home in Franklin. The pull-out sofa bed sleeps like a … pull-out sofa bed, so probably better for a youth/teenager than an adult. Otherwise, everything was terrific!! We loved the close proximity to local restaurants (wish there were more!), breweries, potters, boutiques, hiking, waterfalls, mountain views, fly fishing, and even high-quality community theatre just an hour away! The porches got a work-out as we sipped coffee and watched the birds and the living room is incredibly cozy for long conversations. We’d highly recommend a stay at Pine Tree Cabin!
When you walk into this cottage you are at home! The furnishings provide a warm welcome. The view from the upper deck is so peaceful. The lower patio is well appointed. All furnishings inside and out are in wonderful order. Beds so comfortable. Bathrooms spotless!
Kitchen had everything you needed! We cooked a couple of times and it is so easy to navigate around the kitchen. Air conditioning was top notch!
Joe and Grace had everything perfect for our arrival. Thank you!!! Can’t wait to stay again!

Spent 10 days in the very comfortable cabin which has very nice views. The location is close to Franklin and very easy to find. The landscaping is beautiful. The next door neighbor is close, but we never heard him or his dog. Would recommend providing 2 keys, but the key does not work in the front deadbolt. Would label all light switches as a couple were confusing. Disappointed that we could not get network TV shows, but did receive national news, CNN, CNBC, etc. Reactivating DISH would be good.

Many thanks for your review.! We will consider your thoughtful recommendations as we work to improve our place…. a constant for us. Cheers!
I travel for a living. I’ve stayed in 100’s of rentals in over 45 countries. I am fickle. This is a beautiful property in a nice quiet location. It had everything you will need. Bring your food and drinks and a Bluetooth speaker and you’ll not want to leave. The landscaping and lighting added to the overall awe as did the views. Great functionality and lots of little spaces for larger groups. The owners use this property and it shows with its intimacy. We loved our 3 day weekend. Thank you.
This property is amazing. Conveniently located in Franklin. The house is so charming and comfortable, beautifully decorated and has everything you need!
You have breathtaking views of the mountains from the porches. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely book again.
We loved our stay here. The landscaping was beautifully manicured, and the house was very clean and comfortable with wonderful, clean porches. There was a small snag with operating the TV, but friendly help was sent right away--on a Friday night!--to fix it. So I'd rate the service as top notch. Hope to return soon!
What a great way to spend a week away from the blast furnace of a hot summer. The 'cabin' is really a comfy two bedroom home which is well made and well appointed. Our favorite spot was on the 2d floor deck overlooking the distant mountains. The neighbors - though quiet - were a bit closer than we expected, and the place is not quite as isolated as we preferred, but still my wife and I would return.
Everything went as it should- we got in fine and everything was clean and ready for us. It’s a beautiful home and we so enjoyed sitting on the porch. We took some day trips to silva, highlands, Cherokee. And lunch at Dillard House was really great- it is actually very close even though it is in Georgia. We did some nice trails also. We never even had need to call the property manager. Excellent stay!!

I’m so happy to hear you had a wonderful time! Come back and see us!
The cabin was amazing. There was plenty of room for my family of 4. The views from the decks were amazing. We had s'mores by the firepit and the kids chased fireflies at night.
I would highly recommend this cabin and plan to return again.
Our first visit to Franklin, NC was a huge success. The cabin was cozy, clean and fabulously equipped. I have stayed at many rented homes and none have had a full kitchen stocked with equipment and amenities as this one! The owner and property manager were very responsive and communicative which made our stay that much easier. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved having Stacey and her family with us . They left our cabin the way they found it .. no damage of course .. and very sweet people . They are welcome here anytime!!
As advertised, this was a great place to stay. It was comfy and clean and cozy. We appreciated the little touches like night lights and blankets to snuggle in out on the deck where we spent so much time just taking in the view. We would definitely love to come back
Everything about this place is wonderful, it's hard to leave! It's impeccably clean, homey, and inviting, inside and out. We sat outside for hours in the evening under the stars. It's a place we will return to and suggest to friends and family.
Beautiful home well appointed great location nice views. Checkin was a little challenging as complete instructions were not availble for wifi and property manager contact.
The start was a bit rocky, as GPS thinks 11 Glory Ln is about 12 miles from this location. Once found, this cottage has everything you need. Everything worked, everything was clean, and we wanted for nothing. We never had to call the owner/manager for anything. We cooked, enjoyed the decks, enjoyed the DVD's/games, etc., which were available.
It's very close to Georgia Rd, which is Hwy 23/441 - the main artery, just a bit south of Franklin. It's convenient to restaurants (fast food) and the wonderful, new Ingles supermarket. 4 of us spent 5 days most pleasantly, much of which was because of this cottage. The two guys each cooked a dinner. There was nothing, equipment-wise, that wasn't there. In fact, there was stuff there - even first aid kits - that we decided we'd never even have thought of as owners.
Oh, and the grounds are great. The upper deck has a lovely view. Ground level has been well lit for evening ambience. The lower deck has an electric grill and a gas-fired fire pit. And there's a wood-burning fire pit just off the lower deck.
All in all, the four of us who visited, and our pet, can and will heartily recommend this as a wonderful place to stay!!!
My daughters and I stayed in this property for four days in June 2019 and we had a fantastic time. The property is extremely clean and well-decorated. We actually decided it was so peaceful and so "livable" that we ended up spending one day at the house and didn't even look for anything else to do. It's one of those properties that had me thinking, "I could retire here if I could find an interior designer and a housekeeper that could keep things just like they have them!" There are nearby neighbors, but the trees and natural setting made it feel pretty isolated despite the other homes nearby. The property is located just a mile or two from the main road, and another half mile from several restaurants and a great grocery. Another couple of miles and you're in the downtown area, which is really cute. The property itself is an easy drive uphill a bit, no scary turns or steep hills but enough to feel a little more "in the mountains." Views of some mountains in the distance are decent, albeit not as inspiring as a lot of mountain properties. But the decor and cleanliness of the house and the comfort of the outdoor seating do a lot to make up for that, and there IS still a view. The kitchen has essentially everything, the cable and Internet were pretty good (Internet was shaky at times, but never for long). The fireplace gave a nice ambiance, and little touches around the house (nice soaps and lotions in the bath, soft and comfy throw blankets throughout the house, etc) really made for a great stay. I would highly recommend the place for anyone looking for somewhere for three to six people.

The cabin was absolutely perfect!
We had a wonderful stay in Franklin. The cabin was perfect! It was a beautiful and very clean cabin. It has such a warm and cozy feeling. They even had nice soft throws to cover up with on the couches. The owners decorated beautifully for our Thanksgiving holiday! They provided us with everything we needed and even left us some amazing local honey! I would definitely stay here again and reccomend to anyone visiting the Franklin area.

About the host

We are from the Florida sun coast, but have always loved the mountains of NC... and have been vacationing in the Franklin and surrounding areas for many years. We are now retired and live here permanently, but spend our summer traveling.
Why they chose this property
This house sits on a gentle rise with a year round long range mountain view... especially from the upper deck!! The air is cool, and we get a good breeze often from this point. And despite being close to the neighboring home, it is separated by a cypress tree line; giving a private feeling.
