Little Manistee River Cabin

Located in the heart of the Manistee National Forest and the Little River is 75 yards away, fishing, kayaking, hunting, hiking, biking, ATV, snowmobiling. This is a real up north cabin. Fully furnished and all kitchens utensils. The cabin is located 5 miles from the Dublin store which has a hardware store and food! Truly an up north getaway. The fishing and hunting in the area is great. You can hike from the front door to the forest.

First off there was no address on the mailbox or the house. The linens and towels and dishes were all clean.The rest of the house is in need of a very good cleaning.We had a good time anyway.

This is a classic, old-school "up north" cabin, with everything you need for a comfortable stay without the frills. There's very little traffic on the road, so it's peaceful. There's a lot to do in the area. Cell phone service in the area is pretty bad, so your navigation app might not quite get you there but it's easy enough to find visually.We liked the place and would stay again if the opportunity comes up.

Overall we were quite disappointed with this listing. The inside was not clean!! There was hair on the shower walls and floor. It was pretty clear that the only thing done to the bathroom was clean towels and washcloths were put out. It was also clear that the place had not been dusted in a long time. Cobwebs were everywhere, including on the headboard of the bunk room. In the kitchen there were mouse droppings on the countertops and in all the cupboards. We had to go buy a fry pan because the pans provided were disgusting. Also the toaster did not work. There was never Hot water, only luke warm if you let it run long enough. It would be nice if the listing mentioned that there was no WiFi or cable TV. In addition there was no Verizon or Spectrum service in the area, therefore we had no communication with the outside world unless we left the area. Not sure if another mobile service might have worked in the area but we had no service. We were so disappointed after the first night because of the uncleanliness, had it been possible to get a refund we would have ended our stay before we stayed another night there. Having stayed in other Vrbo homes that were so clean and lovely we were very disappointed. We would personally not recommend this location to others.

Small quiet and cabin in the woods! Loved that it was not in a campground or by one. We had a relaxing time. It was clean. Bring your own lawn chairs a shovel to clean up after your dog and towels.
