Captain's House, a coastal peaceful comfortable spacious traditional and unconventional home with 180 degrees ocean views. With a reverse floor plan and large windows you can watch the waves roll in, see the change in ocean color throughout the day and the sunsets. An under 2 min walk, gets you on a beautiful empty beach whenever you feel like. A covered deck with expansive ocean views invites you often to feel the ocean breeze and hear the sound of crashing waves. The back deck with gas grill has partial ocean view, lush rain forest view and mountain view. The memory foam comfortable mattresses on all beds will give you a deep long night sleep in the strong fresh ocean air. All 4 bedrooms have their own private bath and work table with chair(s). One bedroom has a UHD computer monitor
The house has two living rooms.
The living room downstairs can be used as a 5th walk through sleeping area. It has a queen sofa bed sleeper that pulls out into bed and a twin bed.
The dinning table has 10 comfortable dining chairs. There are also 4 counter height chairs at the kitchen island
In the house you can find:
1 child’s highchair, 2 X pack' n plays with mattresses + 3 sheets for mattresses, stepping stools, 1 baby gate.
100% cotton bed linens with duvet covers washed after every guest (sorry, no top sheets), extra blankets and pillows
High speed internet, wi-fi, wired telephone for local/US calls, XBox One S + 1 controller.
We offer Hulu, Disney+ and ESPN+ (with ads) via the Roku apps on all 6 smart TVs as well as Live TV on the Hulu app (like cable TV with 85+ channels) with unlimited DVR recording. Please DO NOT log out of these 3 (Hulu, Disney, ESPN) apps so all guests can enjoy them. You’re welcome to add any other Roku apps.

12 sets of towels and 12 twin comforters with duvet covers (4 stored in the living room downstairs). Hair dryers in all 4 bathrooms.

Please place all used towels, sheets, pillow cases, duvet covers (only the covers) in the laundry room.
Please wipe down and put away any baby gear used
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Very roomy for a group of crafters. Love the 2nd bed in every bedroom. Stairs to the main level was a bit of a challenge for our elderly moms but we managed just fine. All happy campers in our group of 8.

The property matched the listing description and photos. The house worked out perfectly for our 6 adults and 2 children perfectly. Everyone had plenty of room and privacy. The house itself was very clean, updated, and in a great location for a short walk to the beach. The view of the ocean was not full on but still quite visible. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of cookware and very spacious. It was so nice that all the bedrooms had their own bathrooms attached. The beds were very comfortable!

Fantastic Arch Cape rental

We’ve been coming to the Oregon Coast for decades. This is the best rental we’ve had for a large group. Very comfortable, well-stocked, great view, excellent beach access. Highly recommend!

Great Place!

The house was exactly as the photos represented. Great view, quick walk to a fire on the beach and the home was very clean. They had extra of everything (dishes, cups, paper towels, etc). Excellent property.

Great house in a great location

Good sized house with lots of space. For everyone. Very comfortable for everyone. This was our second visit but first with a newborn. We all had a great time. Lovely quiet beach but close enough to Cannon Beach to go for coffee and shopping. Will definitely be back.

Fun and Serene

This house has wonderful views, is very close to the beach, and is very roomy. We had four couples and two young children. Everyone had enough private space, and we also enjoyed the areas available to get together as a group. We utilized the kitchen and the barbecue, eating both inside and out. We will definitely try to return.

Beach haven

The Captain's House was the perfect property for our family vacation. The house was beautiful--upon arrival we were impressed by the large windows in the family room that allowed us to see the amazing Pacific Ocean. The balcony also had a wonderful view of the ocean and we were so close, you could sit and listen to the waves. The decor was lovely, the kitchen was well stocked, and everything was very clean. The house was large enough for our family of 10 and everyone had their own space. It was so close to the beach and what a lovely beach--not crowded like you would find in Cannon Beach. The location was perfect--close to Cannon Beach and Astoria. The host was very easy to work with and responded quickly to questions. It was a very relaxing vibe and we would definitely return.

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!

We stayed here for almost a week and loved it so so much that we wouldn’t have minded staying longer. The house was perfect and cozy. The view was incredible. And the sunsets were breathtaking!!! We all loved the fact that we had our own private beach! Definitely our stay is rated 5 stars!! We would love to come back to this house again. You won’t regret it if you book it.

Stellar Stay

This is one of the premier homes in Arch Cape. Great four bedroom suite with a nice kitchen, dinning area and great room. A deck faces the beach which is a four minute walk. The house is well kept, works well for groups. The property manager is easy to contact, attends to your needs and is very helpful. This is our favorite home in the area. We’ve used it for several years and will be back

Great House! Great Location!

Definitely recommend staying here! The house is new and well decorated. Beautiful views of the ocean. We like to cook and the kitchen has everything you need. Almost feel like you have a private beach - far enough away from the crowds but not too far. Great restaurants and within 10 minute drive in Cannon Beach. Best hikes around within 5 min. drive. Owner was very responsive to questions. We would come back and stay here.

Fantastic house in Arch Cape!

Our family of 5 stayed in this lovely house recently! So clean! I felt 100% comfortable there during these COVID times, the cleaners went above and beyond! Great location with close access to the beach. Perfect setup with a second living area downstairs for kids. We could have easily fit another family. Would definitely return.

Family Vacation

My family is large enough that I had to rent the Captain's House and the Loft of Riley. The Captain's House was occupied by 4 adults and 4 kids. The space was large enough to make everyone feel that they had the privacy they needed. It is well designed for multiple family vacation living. The view from the upper living space was beautiful. The only minor drawback is that the beach is a 5 minute walk which can make it cumbersome it bathroom breaks with the kids are necessary. I would have no problem renting this home again.

Comfort for Everyone

I brought my staff of 10 ladies to Arch Cape Captains House and there was comfort for every individual person in this beautiful home! This home had everything we needed to sleep in our individual space, to having space to meet together for a training, to eating meals together! Kitchen was more than stocked for our cooking needs. Bathrooms met all our needs as well. Beautiful view of the ocean and nice quiet walking areas right outside the home! We will be back! This stay was comfortable and perfect!

Return to Captain’s House

We were able to return to Captain’s House again this year with our son, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren and we all had a great time. It is one of our favorite rental houses at Arch Cape. Spacious, beautiful and comfortable decor and perfect for a family of 6-8 people. Love the kitchen with the big island and so well equipped with tone of dishes. Love the deck- great place to sit, although I liked it better without the big table as it crunches the space on the deck. Just minutes to the beach and beach chairs and toys are already in the garage. Beautiful house to enjoy Arch Cape.

Beach house with everything

Captain’s House was perfect for our Labor Day getaway to Cannon Beach. We were 3 families with 11 total (5 kids between 5 and 14) and had ample room to all be together but also have our own space. The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked and equipped and had everything we needed for 4 days with a lot of varied cooking. The ping pong table was a hit, and we really appreciated all the beach chairs, towels, toys, games, and equipment. The portable lanterns and s’more sticks came in really handy for our beach bonfires too. The house is just a couple of minutes away from the beach. This part of the coast is nice and close to Cannon Beach, but just that bit quieter which we prefer. We’d definitely recommend the house and would stay here again in a heartbeat. Very easy communication with the host too.

Our stay at Captains House

The Captains House is beautiful. Clean uncluttered and very spacious. Lots of games and activities for everyone. From beach chairs to sand bikes, ping pong table to cards. The kitchen has every appliance and accessory we needed. The ocean view and balcony/porch allowed for wonderful views and the walkway to the beach, though not directly from the house, is less than a block away and enchanting by itself. All of the bedrooms are lovely. Each bedroom has its own bathroom. We had seven of us there all week and room to spare. We were also able to have “alone” time. Lots of parking including a garage. We had absolutely no complaints and will stay again!!

My friends and I rented this property for a 5 day friend getaway. This is probably the best VRBO property I have ever stayed in. I honestly cannot think of anything to complain about. It was perfect. The private baths for each bedroom really sealed the deal for us. Although the property was close to Cannon Beach, we opted to stay at the property most of the time, it was that comfortable. I hope to rent this again.
