Welcome to Tofte Cove! With its large flat lot, beautifully updated home and amazing views, our property is ideal for groups of all ages. It’s conveniently located near some of the North Shore’s most popular hiking, skiing, biking and dining spots. Enjoy amazing views from two expansive decks, private lake access to relax by the water, or a cozy bonfire overlooking the lake.

Inside, you’ll find an inviting, upscale home recently remodeled with new appliances and all the amenities. The main level has two bedrooms (1 king; 1 double/1 twin), full bath with rain shower and separate soaking tub, gourmet kitchen with large dining area, and spacious living room with vaulted ceiling and gas fireplace. The lower level includes a 3/4 bath and family room featuring a smart TV for movie nights and sofa sleeper for extra guests. Large windows and decks on both levels showcase nature in all seasons. Outside there’s a gas grill, adirondack chairs, fire pit and ample parking.
From Tofte Cove, it’s 2 minutes to Tofte, 15 minutes to Lutsen Mountain and 45 minutes to Grand Marais by car. Or, walk or bike the paved Gitchee-Gummi trail for miles—there’s an access point at the end of our driveway. Cross-country ski lovers can join the Sugarbush Trail System just across Highway 61. Nearby attractions include Superior National Golf Course, Lutsen Ski Resort and Temperance River State Park.

Very relaxing and beautiful cabin. Close to Lutsen and a lot of wonderful cross country skiing trails if you go in the winter. There are a few restaurants near by that were very good but the kitchen there was very nice as well and had everything you would need to make a nice meal. The only set back was that they had a huge blizzard the day we traveled up and we couldn’t get into the driveway so had to stay at another place for the night. But the host stayed in contact the whole time giving us updates on the weather and were very helpful. We still had 4 lovely nights and enjoyed the snowy setting and local outdoor activity. We commented to each other several times that one day when we retire this is exactly the kind of place we would like to live. It is truly beautiful.

Tofte Cove was the perfect place for my family to stay. The grandchildren loved the open grounds for running and the cove for rock throwing and climbing. The cabin was spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. We really enjoyed our stay and would like to return for another fun family get away.

3rd time and will keep coming back. For us, the house is amazing as other reviewers have mentioned. We stay in a lot of VRBOs and nothing matches this one. It's also close to all of our favorite North Shore hiking - only 2 miles from the Temperance River and another one - Oberg Mountain. The managers of this property are kind, attentive, accommodating, and responsive. If you love the Ninja Ice Cream maker we bought one and left it there for others to have their protein desserts that taste just like real ice cream. We love this place and the people who own and manage it!

Superior - in so many ways!

This accommodation offered a much-needed getaway for a busy family of four. We ate most meals here and the kitchen was very well-stocked with quality cooking items that were easy to locate and easy to use. The home was very, very clean and cozy and whilst we enjoyed exploring local sights and hiking during the day, we also looked forward to coming back 'home' and settling in on the patio overlooking Lake Superior, cuddling under a blanket with a good book, hanging out in the cove area, and also having s'mores over a campfire.We would highly recommend this location and accommodation for its location, the communication before/during/after our stay, and of course the beautiful views overlooking Lake Superior. Fabulous accommodation!

Great hiking area
