When it comes to parking, 80 LEX could just as easily be name Easy Street: parking here is simple! And that’s exactly how it should be, when you’re on vacation.
You don’t need a car to enjoy downtown Asheville (our walk score: 93!), but if you bring one, here are your options:
Additional paid parking options: Parking Decks: Our preferred parking option! Both the City of Asheville and Buncombe County operate safe, reliable and inexpensive parking decks. The first half hour is free and the full-day rate is just $20, so feel free to leave your vehicle overnight. There are several parking decks within walking distance of 80 LEX on Rankin Ave; we’ll send all the details with your booking confirmation.
On-Street Parking: There are more than 700 on-street metered parking spaces in downtown Asheville. All meters are for short-term parking (two hours or less, as marked), at a cost of $1.50 per hour . On-street metered parking is free on holidays, Sundays, and every day after 6 pm.
Loading Zones: There is one right in from If you’re arriving via taxi, Uber, or Lyft, feel free to unload in one of Asheville’s dedicated loading zones, limited to 30 minutes (or less, as marked).
Accessing 201 requires climbing one flight of stairs, (22 stairs total). One free parking space is provided one block away in an open, private parking lot , next to condo complex. The apartment is in downtown Asheville, an urban setting, in a multi-tenanted building. Usual sights and sound of city living should be expected.

If I could give it more stars… I would!!First, let me say.. we VRBO all the time and I was an innkeeper for almost a decade. This is one of the few places I don’t want to leave! Host: Responsive and accommodating Location: Perfect! In town convenience. Off street level yet level with a super cool back alley. Parking: Very convenient. Loading zone was helpful. Cleanliness and Decor: Incredibly CLEAN! Creative and cool style. Amenities: From the bottle of wine on arrival, the incredible options for tea and coffee( we are loose tea fans and have never seen that in a VRBO!)to the huge umbrellas by the alley door… everything has been carefully thought out to make one’s stay a memorable one. Bed and Bath: Very comfy bed. Bed and bath linens were top notch! Anything needing to change? Nope! We will surely be back!
Comfortable, clean, quiet, well-appointed apartment in a great location downtown. Run by a very responsive property management company. Parking is just a short walk away, and there is a 30 minute spot outside for loading and unloading. We liked it so much we extended our stay.

This property is beautifully decorated and stocked with everything you need and more. The host was easy to communicate with and had simple easy instructions for everything, from directions, building entry, and parking.
Perfect location, property manager was very responsive and helpful, and property was equipped with everything you would need. Super clean as well. Will definitely come back and stay again!

Growing up Santa Fe, NM I saw a unique blend of artistic community, endless outdoor opportunities, interesting history, beautiful landscapes, and a diverse mix of cultures.
Though far from Santa Fe and a different climate, I arrived in Asheville in the early 90’s to practice Chinese Medicine and felt some of the same elements at play. Asheville was not well known, but you could feel the energy building and the mixture of art, landscape, environment, history and community all coming together. It reminded me of my ‘early days’ in Santa Fe. One of my closest friends was Andy Brokmeyer, who I told for several years that he needed to come to Asheville, as it was a dynamic and exciting place. We were also avid kayakers, and Asheville has been a Mecca for kayaking since the early days of the sport so I knew I could lure him out with the promise of all the great rivers in the area.
He came out ‘for a visit’ and hasn’t left. That was 16 years ago. Asheville has grown into the most happening place in the region, far beyond my expectations, and has sustained an authentic, community oriented and dynamic quality. Like my dad used to say about few places, it has ‘cultural energy’.
Why they chose this property
Though both Andy and I had done some residential real estate investment and development, 80 N Lexington was our first move into the commercial side. It was an old building, greatly in need of repair, and was a bit removed from the core downtown commercial traffic. We scraped together what we could and fixed it up, with an eye towards something special in the future.
Now, many years later, North Lexington Ave is hopping, with restaurants, breweries, bars, tea houses, coffee shops, galleries and wonderful, diverse retail shops right out the door.
And 80 N Lexington has been transformed into a blend of funky, hip, and industrial intertwined with lush, upscale design. A mix of style and comfort that is unique and authentically Asheville.
